Master of the Maisters bugged?

Recommended Posts

I haven't gotten the trophy yet, but I'm one away at the current moment.

However, I'm just going to list how many each vocation has, and you can cross check your arisen for them.
Fighter - 1
Thief - 2
Archer - 1
Warrior - 1
Mage 1
Sorcerer - 2
Trickster - 1
Mystic Spearhand - 1
Magick Archer - 1
Warfarer - 1

May want to double check you actually used them (not sure if the trophy pops on acquire or on usage), and may have to check your item storage to see if you have it there if you are missing one.  Past that, not sure what else you can do besides NG+. For anyone else, the Mage and Sorcerer ones tied to side quests with the grimoires are the ones more easily missed due to not enough grimiores and needing to make forgeries to complete both side quests (but I've heard you can keep giving them gifts to raise their affinity to acquire it as well, but I can't confirm that).

I went through them one by one on the powerpyx guide and confirmed I do have them all. I even downloaded a cloud save from a few hours before I picked up the last one and tried it again. Still no luck. Hopefully it pops when I start Ng+.

Update: I figured it out. I got confused with Sorcerer maister and thought they both offered the same reward. I'll get the one I missed in NG+

Does anyone know wich ones are missable?

You can easily miss the Sorcerer's mastery, you need to do 2 quests at the same time.
Readi first in full (!!!) these guides:
https://www.powerpyx.com/dragons-dogma-2-spellbound-walkthrough/
https://www.powerpyx.com/dragons-dogma-2-the-sorcerers-appraisal-walkthrough/

To be short, you need to find 5 books and decide to which NPC to give them, but to get both masteries you need: find all 5 books, make fake books from the trader, give fake books to male NPC, give real books to a girl

One of the books you can get two of: one from a chest in a cave and one from ancient battlefield's castle.

3 for the girl in the forest. 3 for the man at the checkpoint. No need to spend money on dupes

I just wanted to get the mystic Spearhead Master Skill from Sigurd. The red symbol an Name Sigurd is displayed in the village of Have, but he#s not a his house. I can't find him in the village either. I've been sitting outside his house day and night.

Do you have any ideas?

This might be far fetched but try checking your properties on the off chance he is waiting on your doorstep with one of those high affinity escort quests, I’ve had him at my house in Battahl before

Sigurd is also not found in either Mortuary.

Once he moves from Melve, he should be at the Dragonsbreath Tower, and will give you the scroll after a short quest with him. I never seen him at any other location.

As far as the other masters, I would suggest before approaching them to have a few affinity-increasing items in your inventory. Like 2 or 3 of them I thought I got, only to realize they never gave it to me and I had to raise affinity with them before they pulled me to the side to give the item.

I found the Dragonsbreath Tower while exploring the Map, but didn't go any closer. I don't remember if I interacted with him.

When I travel to the Dragonsbreath Tower again because of Sigurd, the red symbol and his name were still there. I didn't find it though, just the dragon on the roof. But I didn't fight.

I then traveled to the village of Have and since then his name and the red symbol have been displayed in the village of have. As I said, it's not there. Not in either of the two mortuaries.

Now I've been in the village of Have for several days, again at Dragonsbreath Tower, but it's nowhere to be seen.

In Harve, he should be in a building on top of a hill, it's called Coastal Hut or something similar.

He should also join the dragon fight at Dragonsbreath Tower.

If not, he maybe fell off a cliff or something.

He is not to be found in his house in Harve Village or near the dragon at Dragonsbreath Tower.

Can he be present at the random dragon attacks in the Village (for example Vernworth)?

probably died during the fight, he did for me at least, had to reload a save. My second attempt at the fight was very chessy indeed, i just went and loped of preserved medusa's head ran up to the dragontower found the dragon and petrified his ass :D Sigurd survived and i got my scroll that way.

Sigurd died for me during the fight at Dragonsbreath Tower, too. His body fell off the map so I couldn't Wakestone him. He eventually showed up at the morgue in Vernworth (I had to pass time for a day or so get him to appear there). From there, I revived him and he went back to his house in Harve. I then had to give him gifts across a few days to max his affection to get him to give me the skill scroll. Make sure you rest a full day after each gift or it won't actually progress anything.

If he never shows up at the morgue he is either still alive somewhere (likely spots would be, as others have mentioned, Dragonsbreath Tower again or your house in Vernworth/Battahl...maybe Melve if you never did the Ulrika questline?) or you unfortunately already missed your window for this playthrough as I think bodies are removed from the morgue at a certain point.

I finally found Sigurd.

The problem was that by scouting the map I must have accidentally started the dragon's fight against Sigurd at Dragonsbreath Tower. However, I didn't go into the Tower myself. This showed me Sigurd's whereabouts after an overnight stay in the village of Have. But he was never to be found in his house, in Malve, at Dragonsbreath Tower or in the mortuary.

Here's what I did. I killed the dragon in Dragonsbreath Tower and only then was Sigurd shown as dead in the mortuary of Vernworth. Awakened and found in the village of Harve.

I came to the Trevo cave way before taking the vocation quest and opened all the chests. The greatsword and Archistaff were not in the chests. After accepting the quest and returning, the chests remain opened with no loot. Am I doomed for the NG+ for this part?

You can get any Archistaff or Greatsword not neccesarily the ones in the treasures at Trevo Cave. Advancing the Beren questline for example will get you a Greatsword and it will count for the quest completion.

Hi

I miss the magic spearhand maister and the 1 of the sorcerer.

The first because when i killed the dragon the npc doest give me anything and when i go to his house in halve he just speak to me a few words nothing more and the sorcere one  he refuses to speak to me even with both pieces of armor . So i have to make another run to get both

Edit: finally got both without doing another run, the sorcerer dies for some reason i dont know, i revive him and when i get near his house he let me enter give me the quest, the first i give him gift and then he give me the scroll.
