Popular Post Weskerfan75
If you are considering getting the Platinum for this game, you better start now. Ideally, today. Take a look at this. These are the Zombies / Multiplayer events that run on Black Ops 4. Almost all of them end this year and will significantly slow down progress for the grindiest trophies on the list. Multiplayer / Blackout This is one of the least casual friendly CODs I've played. You will regularly get placed in lobbies against some of the sweatiest players known to man who have sunk hundreds of hours in this game. Once they call in a Sniper Nest and a Thrasher 9/10 times is an inevitable loss for your team. Now remember you have to reach level 55 and win 50 matches. Not having top tier weapons, perks or attachments will make it harder to compete against sweats and thus leveling up will take longer. Events like double XP, double Weapon XP and loot box discounts will help you with leveling up and obtain better gear faster. You may even get top tier weapons form the loot boxes such as the VMP, Micro 9mm or the Reaver. Even if you don't wanna go the DLC route, great weapons like the Saug and Hades need to be unlocked by leveling up and to maximize their usage, attachments require a decent amount of kills and loadouts that further the weapon's usage also need to be unlocked. Double XP and Weapon XP will greatly accelerate this process. Additionally, at this point in the game unless you train and play for weeks there is a microscopic chance of you earning all the Blackout characters by yourself. Most of the players remaining in Blackout have played it since launch and know every corner of the map. Boosting Blackout is also a massive chore that requires at least 20 people and VPNs. I've seen a handful of groups running these boosting groups so I suggest finding one and get Blackout out of the way as this isn't as simple as getting carried through a Zombies Easter Egg by an experienced player. Lastly, VPNs cost money so don't expect people to run these forever. While, according to the calendar, multiplayer will receive a double XP boost permanently, the myriad of other great deals that will be lost will still be a detriment to the player as there are other things that need to be grinded. Which takes us to... Zombies There is a trophy that requires you level up 25 weapons to max level in Zombies. For weapons to even count kills and start leveling up you first need to unlock them by leveling up your rank. Attachments that better the weapons with things like more damage, more ammo and faster reloads also require the weapon to be leveled up. All weapons unlocked in loot boxes can be used, leveled up and have attachments in Zombies, except for the Echohawk. For reference, I used the Essex exclusively in one game to max it out and it took me until round 51 in Classified. If you're not a seasoned Zombies player like me this will probably take you longer. Even more if you're stuck playing the base game maps. Some weapons don't have attachments such as the Escargot, Welling, MP40 and the already mentioned Essex. These weapons aren't very good and take forever to level up so if double XP is on get these out of the way. You can probably see the benefit of leveling up both your rank and weapons at double the speed. Unfortunately, Zombies 2XP will be discontinued later this year, per the calendar. Additionally, there are events that multiply and increase the chance of earning rare elixirs and talismans you can get. Such as the Tungsten Tripler deal. Elixirs aren't imperative for the Platinum but some of them help greatly with miscellaneous trophies and Easter Eggs as they speed up the setting up process by making doors free, giving free perks, making perks permanent and spawning power ups. Elixir deals will also be gone after this year. While not needed for the Platinum, things such as calling cards and weapons camos are easier to obtain when you have everything unlocked and maxed out. Especially all the Headshots you'll need for Dark Matter. The fastest and easiest way to level up weapons is to run a setup of Mule Kick, Bandolier Bandit, Deadshot and Stone Cold Stronghold on the elevator in Classified. All these perks need to be unlocked by leveling up well into the 30's. If you prefer to train zombies instead of camping, Tag der Toten and perhaps Alpha Omega are good choices as these alongside Classified are the only maps that don't have mini bosses showing up to wreck your camping session. If you're being carried through Easter Eggs try to have at least good defensive gear like Winter's Wail and Wraith Fires to stay alive while your teammates do the work for you or provide consumable Elixirs for the team like Fire Sales, Max Ammos and Shopping Free to speed up the Easter Egg process. Contribute in some way to the team. Don't be the guy that goes down 8 times each round while simultaneously not having anything of use equipped. Final Thoughts In conclusion the platinum will still be obtainable after this year, but the road will be much much longer. Today a bunch of events are gonna go live and will continue intermittently though the summer. If you're crazy enough to tackle the Black Market, consider stacking up on Non Duplicates crates as deals for these will also go the way of the dodo in a few months. School's out, relax, grab some friends and make your 2024 summer the Summer of Black Ops 4.
Remilia Scarlet
Why are they doing this? They should just enable this stuff permanently
HaserPL
This won't affect the platinum's difficulty at all. If anything, it will make grinding slower, but with the amount of stuff you gotta do for the platinum, 2x doesn't change much. So don't be scared by this. You will still have to play the game for 200h + for the plat.
XxIsa-GxX
Thanks for the heads up, I usually dislike multiplayer games because of the randoms (however I have nothing against co-op/Zombies since it doesn't include toxicity, and is fun!) but it's time to clean this game up... Eblait
I don't think I'll be bothered to go after the platinum. I may get all Zombies trophies at some point - it's by far the best mode this franchise has put out, if I'm being honest - but a Battle Royale is just not my cup of tea, especially with so many tryhards playing at the moment... Good luck to anyone trying this, though. Let me know how it goes. 😉

I’m having such a miserable time getting the last few characters that I need that I completely think it’s undoable atp with all the sweats. FreshFromThaDeli
Good luck to anyone going for this Plat. In my opinion, the hardest CoD Platinum. Getting the Blackout characters was a pain. The actual mode itself was fun though.

B1ngBangBOsh
Doesn’t take 20+ people to boost blackout, if there’s still lobbies going all you need is 2-4 people to either play as a group or team in solo’s. If you’re any decent at shooters, getting the majority of the characters solo is easy enough. Reznov is just super situational so you’d have to force it, for Woods you can use Hot and Heavy mode if it’s still in rotation. If the game mode has respawns (Alcatraz/Hot and Heavy), as long as you pick up the item it doesn’t matter if you die, as long as you meet all the requirements for it by the end of the game you’ll unlock the character. If you buy DLC’s, there’s a god mode glitch on Tag Der Totem iirc, which the fastest achievers used during a 2x xp week. Much faster way to level up guns than Classified.
