KratosTheMighty
If a game is treated to be the greatest of all time before it's even released.... it's probably not very great at all. I also don't buy always online games either....
Alastor_Nelo
Eh, you can throw the overhyped card on virtually any game though. Present any given title, and there will always be a handful of people that will brand it as such. I personally avoid it by not setting my expectations too high. Spazcannon
The way it was marketed and hyped people were practically expecting the gamee to make gold nuggets flown in by armored peguses (or pegusi, whatever the plural is). Regardless, wether it's overhyped or not if you enjoy it then screw what others think of the hype. Edited October 26, 2014 by Spazcannon
jorgeammo
Haven't played it and probably never will. I'm just blown away that its now the most expensive game in history at a whopping $500 million to produce and market.

StrickenBiged
Hype won't die, and this is why. For those of you who can't be bothered to follow the link: essentially a large marketing spend is more effective at selling games than positive review scores. I would guess that this effect is probably exacerbated in the modern age of pre-orders and review embargos, where the game is sold on the strength of the pre-release marketing alone. jorgeammo
I'm not you're son. No not multiple games just Destiny. Look it up. You won't find another game that comes close. #2 GTA 5 cost considerably less coming in at $265 million
