Peace Eros Z - ZERO ESCAPE 3 CONFIRMED!

Recommended Posts

NO WAY o.O

Or it's only PS4 because PS4 is the only relevant for mainstream.

I don't know if you saw, but Crimson Idol posted on another thread linking something that confirms both Vita and PS4 physical copies for both regions. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/10/31/fight-for-survival-in-zero-escape-the-nonary-games-out-next-year-on-ps4-ps-vita/#comment-1186722

He also linked a tweet that confirms that both games are going to be on one cartridge/disc. https://twitter.com/Aksys_Danny/status/793172486347104256

This wouldn't happen if we had one thread to discuss this on, but apparently we need like three. :giggle:

I was just joking =D

I wanted to have 999 standalone but... well, why not. At least I will have localized VLR technically physical =D

Of course we need, there needs to be as much talk about ZE as possible :awesome:

We need that sarcasm font. :P

I guess I'm going to own VLR three times now. The digital EU version, physical NA version, and now the copy included in The Nonary Games collection. Here's hoping we get another trophy list at least.

I'm kinda bummed that ZTD isn't getting re-released though. I wanna platinum that again too. :| I guess there's always the Japanese version to import at least. ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

I wasn't sure where the best place to share this was considering we have like five different Zero Escape threads now or something, but since this was the first, I figure that I would post it here. :P

Siliconera recently interviewed Kotaro Uchikoshi (the director of Zero Time Dilemma) and I think Zero Escape fans will be interested to read it. Fair warning though, it's full of spoilers.

Here you go: http://www.siliconera.com/2016/11/25/spoiler-filled-interview-zero-time-dilemmas-director/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

More than fair warning, it has 999 spoilers =D

Ok, confirming Kyle... Too bad no Blick Winkel =D

Not a bad read, but it's more like we already knew about these. It seems Uchi is more accepting theories of fans than trying to form his own which may be different :D

all I need to know ^_^

What do you think post-marriage life is like for Akane and Junpei?

They might argue over things, but I think they’ll have a happy post-marriage life.

LOL, preferences :D

Interesting, Japan actually gets Nonary Games earlier than we do =D (Maybe I should import :awesome:)

Brilliant, awesome, fantastic.

And damn, too early for 150 xDDDD

I'm confused. The article says the Vita/PS4 version is out on the 13th of April in Japan, but the PC version is out on the 25th of March. It mentions the PC version will likely launch at the same time worldwide, so when are we getting the Vita/PS4 version over here in the west? Any chance we'll be seeing in April too? It's kinda messed up that PC gets the game before Vita does... :|

It's most likely west release together with PC version.

What else could they add, though? Like yea, clearing all rooms would work but you have all memories instead of that.

I like making trophy lists for games that don't have them (like Pokemon games, PS2 games, etc.) or games where I don't like the trophy list it does have. It looks a bit like the ZTD trophy list, where you also got a platinum for basically just beating the game; I've taken some liberties here, but this is what my version of a 999 Trophy List looks like:

999 - 1230p ( 1 Plat, 6 Gold, 9 Silver, 16 Bronze)

Platinum

Gold

  • See all Endings
  • See the True Ending
  • See the Safe Ending
  • Collect all Documents
  • Escape all Rooms
  • Reach an Ending on Hard Mode
    • Since VLR had Hard Mode, I figured it wouldn't be difficult to add one to 999

Silver

  • See the Syringe Ending
    • Don't know if the actual PS4 version has this ending, but I don't suppose it would be very much trouble to add it in
  • See the Knife Ending
  • See the Submarine Ending
  • See the Axe Ending
  • See the Coffin Ending
    • This would unlock either when you actually see the To Be Continued Thing, or at that point during the True Ending
  • Escape a Room (except Room 6) with no errors
    • Basically a trophy for solving a puzzle without any lucky guesses. Never try to combine items that don't work, never fill in a wrong number code, etc. ) Easily achievable with a guide in Memories section, but fun to achieve for puzzlers that are playing through without a guide :) . Room 6 is really easy, so excluded that one.
  • Make the same mistake DR (3, 6, 9) times.
    • A non-hidden trophy so people can figure out the solution by themselves. I just liked the idea of putting a puzzle element in the trophies as well. This one is easy, it just requires players to understand Digital Roots, which they should after playing some of the game. They'd just have to fill in a wrong answer to some puzzle that requires a certain entry 9 times without backing out, so that people don't get the trophy accidentally
  • Fill in Amount of numbered doors * DR (Junpei, Lotus )
    • Another puzzle trophy that people need to decode. It tests the player's memory of how many numbered doors there are, the understanding of Digital Roots AND whether people remember what number the characters had on their bracelet.
      Spoiler

Since 9 is not the correct number of numbered doors, as players of the game know, I thought this would be a nice red herring.

They'd have to fill in the correct number to the equation in one of the puzzles were a number code entry is necessary.
  • Fill in Akane*Snake + Santa*The Ninth Man - Ace*Clover
    • Another puzzle trophy that people need to decode. Again, they'd have to fill in the correct number to the equation in one of the puzzles were a number code entry is necessary. This one takes the most elementary math and, more importantly,
      Spoiler

requires players to not only know which number each character represents, but also needs to remember some twists about some of the character's numbers that they can only find out by getting through all of the endings.

Bronze

  • Escape the 3rd Class Cabin
  • Escape the 2nd Class Cabin
  • Escape the Kitchen
  • Escape the 1st Class Cabin
  • Escape the Casino
  • Escape the Shower Room
  • Escape the Operating Room
  • Escape the Lab
  • Escape the Confinement Room
  • Escape the Torture Room
  • Escape the Chart Room
  • Escape the Captain's Quarters
  • Escape the Engine Room
  • Escape the Cargo Hold
  • Escape the Library
  • Escape the Study

Oh well, dreams will be dreams, we'll have to do with the 8 trophies we got :P

See the Syringe Ending

That's the iOS ending, right?

I don't suppose they would force it into the remake of the original.

As much as I love Coffin Ending, it's really pointless =D Suppose it would unlock in the middle of your playthrough, you would be like... 'WTF?' if you did not know about it :D

Fill in what? =D

MAJOR SPOILERS, DEFINITELY NOT LOOK AT THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED 999 before.

Spoiler

That would be hard to do because of specific reason. We don't know who has which bracelet. Nothing has been confirmed whether 0-9 (Empty + Reverse) or 9-0 (True Zero) is the correct combination. In any case, one of the summands in the equation is zero anyway.

It is the iOS ending. I don't know, did they have nothing to do with the inclusion of that ending? Do you figure it's non-canon?

And I just meant adding, subtracting, multiplying their numbers.

Spoiler

Pretty sure after playing everything, each of the 9 participant's value is clear. Everyone has the value that their bracelet says, except San is actually 9 and June is actually 0. Making the correct answer to the equation (0*2)+(9*9)-(4*1)=81-4 = 77

Well, the whole iOS version is pretty much non-canon so... I would presume it is non-canon xD

Spoiler

Sure, this is the most probable outcome due to safe password.

But if you look at bracelets, 6 can be reversed 9 and 3 can be E = empty = 0 =D

Uchi actually said both are possible, lol =D

And still, fill in what? xDD

Not that it's important, because obviously my suggestion is never going to happen lol, but I basically meant "enter the number 77 in one of the puzzles that requires you entering a number", such as in the kitchen
