What does grayish tint on trophy page indicate?

There's white, gray, blue and green background tints for each game a user has played on their profile trophy page

 

Blue indicates platinum acquired,

green indicates all trophies were acquired, and the game doesn't have a platinum,

either white and gray appear when a game is neither complete nor have a platinum

 

So what exactly does white and gray indicate?

I don't believe it is anything special, I think it is just a pattern with uncompleted/unplatinumed games dood. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though

nothing, i believe. they are just swapping grey and white to make it easier to count them, opposed as all being on the same colors, which could easily lead to a miscount

Yup, as they said above, white and gray are the same exact thing. That being games that aren't completed yet.

 

It's basically a visual style called "banded" rows that makes things look nicer and also sections off rows so it looks better on the eyes. You can see the pattern better in other places like the games page.
