Popular Post Sunflower
A big thank you to DEMON for the awesome Ginchiyo banner! Hey there! Welcome to my trophy checklist! I'm Talitha and I've been gaming since I was six years old. The first console I ever picked up was the Playstation One with a copy of Spyro the Dragon and I've been hooked on video games ever since. I enjoy all types of genres, though my favourites definitely have to be RPGs and fighting games. Some of my favourite series I've grown to love over the years include: Tekken, Tales of, Final Fantasy, Zero Escape, Danganronpa, Project Diva, Yakuza, Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, SMT/Persona, Blazblue, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Ace Attorney. I haven't really been a big trophy hunter until the past couple of months, since I like to game for the fun of it and not stress myself out over a couple of trophies. However, I like to pop a couple of platinums every now and then, usually for games that are pretty simple to achieve or that I really love - when I have time! Music Player: Anyway, now that we have the introduction out of the way and some music as an added bonus, let's get on to the list! #1-25: #1 - The Walking Dead (PS3) Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 My first ever platinum was Telltale's TWD. I thoroughly enjoyed the story when this first came out since I loved the show and comics. The story was emotional and gripping and you can't help but get attached to Lee and Clem. This is still probably my favourite of the Telltale games that I've played so far. #2 - Rise of the Guardians Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I picked this game up to play with my younger cousin to keep him entertained for a day. I liked the film anyway and even enjoyed the game too. It was pretty simple but enjoyable for what it was. Definitely not one of the awful movie tie-in games! #3 - Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 I'm a HUGE Tekken fan and for me, this game was pretty much perfect. I never intended to go for the platinum originally, but nearly 200 hours later all I had left to complete was the Fight Lab so I decided to go for it. Even now, I still go back to TT2 because of how much fun it is to play both solo and with friends and family. It's just a brilliant fighting game! #4 - Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 The only platinum I've achieved out of the XIII trilogy but probably the entry I enjoyed the most. I'm probably in the minority, but I really enjoyed pretty much everything Lightning Returns had to offer. The time limit didn't bother me at all and the gameplay was really fun. I even became addicted to finding all of the garbs to see what different set ups could be made. The platinum is time consuming however and it took me two and a half playthroughs to achieve the platinum because of the accessory trophy. However, apart from that it was quite easy and only a tiny bit tedious. #5 - Tekken 6 Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 6/10 I had started Tekken 6 way before Tag Tournament 2 and didn't go back for the harder trophies until I achieved the platinum for TT2. The nightmare train was a total pain and to be honest, I just got really lucky with punching Devil Jin off the train with Leo. The only other difficult trophy was beating Nancy but that was easy compared to the nightmare train stage. Anyway, I still enjoyed Tekken 6, mainly due to the fact that two of the new fighters, Leo and Bob, are two of my favourite fighters, with Leo overtaking Lily as my main character. #6 - Resident Evil 6 (PS3) Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Again, I'm probably in the minority again with this one (this is becoming a trend as you'll see later on the list!), but I really liked RE6 way more than RE5 which I just plain hated. It's definitely not really a good Resident Evil title, but I enjoyed the majority of the campaign with the exception of Chris's. That was mainly because it was just "shoot this, shoot that" whereas at least the other campaigns did have more of a RE feel to them. Professional difficulty wasn't too difficult at all, especially with the shotgun and was more enjoyable than playing it on the lower difficulties. #7 - Tales of Xillia Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Xillia was my first entry in to the Tales of series as well as an impulse buy. I picked it up nothing barely anything of the series, I'd only previously played a bit of Symphonia at a friends house a few year before and boy was I glad I picked it up. I had so much fun with this game! The characters were fantastic (Alvin is still my favourite Tales of character to this day), the story was interesting but the gameplay was what I loved the most. The only downside to the platinum is that it was quite grindy but I still enjoyed it enough to warrant five whole playthroughs, two of which were with friends who really enjoyed it too. #8 - Tales of Xillia 2 Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 6/10 I had completed Xillia a few months before Xillia 2 was coming to the west so I was so excited for the sequel and thankfully it didn't disappoint! The story was still good, definitely darker but still good, the fact that all main characters returned with their own side stories was what I hoped for and finding out that Gaius and Muzet were playable was a bonus. I had mixed feelings about Ludger being silent, but after enabling the option to give him a voice for skits etc, I liked him much more once I'd finished the game with the good ending. It was emotional and I was so sad to say goodbye to one of my favourite cast of characters in a game. The platinum was so much more time consuming than the first Xillia though and the battle challenges were actually quite hard. However, it was a fun challenge and enjoyable for the most part, with the exception of grinding out the ability trophies (yes, Gaius, I'm talking about yours!). #9 - CSI: Fatal Conspiracy Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 When my Playstation 2 finally gave up and died, I sold off a bunch of PS2 and Wii games. I decided I'd re-buy a couple of them for newer consoles and CSI was one of them. Luckily, it went on sale on the Playstation Store for around £2 and since I never finished it on the Wii, and being a big CSI fan at the time, I downloaded it so I could complete it. It was pretty short and easy but the cases were decent and as a CSI fan I enjoyed it. #10 - Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Ayesha was my first entry into the Atelier series that I'd wanted to try out for some time. The art style is what attracted me to the series and since Ayesha was pretty easy to find at the time, I thought I'd grab it since it was the first of the Dusk trilogy. For the most part, I really liked it, but to begin with it was extremely stressful trying to keep up with the time limit. Towards the end though, everything became much easier and I really enjoyed it enough to pick up the others in the series (most of which are all still sitting in my backlog ). #11 - Trine 2 Enjoyment: 4/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I grabbed Trine 2 during a sale on the store after a friend recommended the series to me but was left kind of disappointed. I thought it was okay but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The trophies can also be achieved without completing the game but even after seeing it through until the end, it just felt really forgettable. #12 - Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Danganronpa and Persona 4 Golden are what I ended up buying a Vita for after seeing all the amazing reviews for the games. Before I bought the Vita, I had already watched a playthrough of DR on youtube which made me all the more desperate to play it. Even knowing what was going to happen, playing it and watching it are two different things. As a fan of Ace Attorney and Zero Escape, DR is like a hybrid of those two series and it was absolutely spectacular. #13 - The Wolf Among Us (PS3) Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 The second series by Telltale, TWOU blended modern day with fairytales which made for a compelling and really interesting story. Not much to say that hasn't already been said about this game, it's pretty much standard Telltale formula with an easy platinum too. I really liked it and I hope they continue the series. #14 - Tales of Graces f Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 5/10 Yay another entry in the Tales of series! Seriously though, I LOVED this game as much as I loved Xillia. Graces has my favourite cast from the Tales series, mainly because of Pascal and Sophie. The skits are gold and the gameplay is again, my favourite from all of the Tales games I've played. There's just so much content as you get the future arc along with the post game dungeon too. Not once did it feel bloated though and I loved every minute I played of this game. Even three full playthroughs later, it never felt tedious (damn you missable gentleman boss!). #15 - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Sherlock was free on PS+ one month and being a fan of the detective I downloaded it to give it a good. It was pretty interesting, cases were good and with a guide the trophies were pretty straightforward to obtain. #16 - Tekken Tag Tournament HD Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Going back and and playing the original Tag Tournament sure brought back memories! True to the original and lots of fun, the platinum was quite easy too. The only downside is after having spent so much time on newer entries in the Tekken series, then going back to the older ones, I found it harder to adjust to old move sets. #17 - The Witch and the Hundred Knight Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 5/10 (because of the random bug problem!) I would've given this a 10/10 for enjoyment if there hadn't been the bug that kept kicking me out to the XMB menu without warning and frequently for a section of the game. Thankfully after the halfway point it stopped and I could enjoy the game without worry of having to save every five seconds. I picked this up on impulse (seriously, impulse purchases are the best!), after seeing such mixed reviews and went into this with not very high hopes. I was so surprised because I absolutely loved it! I can definitely see why people didn't, but I loved the dark sense of humour and Metallia being so evil was so refreshing. She wasn't just a little bit mean she was just a terrible person who did terrible things, but that's what I loved. The gameplay was fun too and I've even considered picking up the revival edition to play it all again with the extra content. #18 - Steins;Gate (PS3) Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I'd been waiting so long for Steins;Gate to come to the west and to have it on Vita was a bonus! This is one of the best visual novels out there and it really does deserve the praise it gets. Characters are quirky and have well developed personalities and the whole time travel concept was just so cool and clever. Definitely try it out if you like VNs, this is one of the best out there! #19 - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 I really didn't think I would like the sequel more than the first Danganronpa but oh man was I wrong! I loved the characters so much more in this one (seriously, I want Sonia, Chiaki and Gundham as my friends. Why can't they be real? ) and the interactions between Monomi and Monokuma were hilarious. The trials and mini games I felt were harder than the first game, but they felt so satisfying once I'd figured it out along with a feeling of dread once I knew who it was. I'M LOOKING AT YOU CHAPTER 4! #20 - Alice: Madness Returns Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 5/10 I'm a huuuuuuge Alice in Wonderland fan. Alice Through the Looking Glass is my favourite book and I adore the Disney adaptation too. So when I first got my PS3, this was one game I just had to have. Unfortunately, I was partly through it when my first PS3 totally died on me and I lost my save files for everything. A year later, I decided to go back to Alice and loved it so much I decided to go for the platinum in the end. I still have to complete McGee's Alice too but the controls annoyed me so I'll save that for another time. #21 - Goat Simulator (PS3) Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 (because flappy goat) I like goats and silly games. This is both of those combined. I had fun with Goat Simulator because it didn't take itself seriously. But I REALLY hate flappy goat. #22 - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 The more Danganronpa the better! And it's even better because Genocide Jill is back and playable! I liked the change of gameplay in Ultra Despair Girls, it was fun and different but it still stayed true to the Danganronpa universe. I really liked the friendship that developed between Komaru and Toko and all of the references that linked to the first Danganronpa as well as setting up for Goodbye Despair. #23 - Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS3) Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I was looking forward to Soul Suspect when it was first announced, but after the extremely mixed reviews and high launch price, I waited for a while and kind of forgot about it. I grabbed it when it went down cheap in a PSN Store sale to see if the mixed reviews were deserved or if people were harsh. I usually end up really liking games that receive mixed reviews 9/10 times but this time, I agreed with the reviewers. The actual story was really promising, but it fell flat with feeling predictable and too short. The platinum is also just a collect-a-thon really but at least it extended the play time. #24 - XBlaze Code: Embryo (Vita) Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Whoop another visual novel! I love the Blazblue games, so I had to grab this, especially because for once Europe also got a physical version nearly a year after America. The story was quite good, with a good few links to the Blazblue games since it's set waaaay before the events of Calamity Trigger. #25 - Virtue's Last Reward Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Well...time for a story! The first entry in the series, 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors was never published in Europe and one day, fourteen year old me found a ton of amazing reviews and people talking about how amazing this game is. I didn't know how to import games at the time but then suddenly after stalking the internet, a couple of weeks later someone from London was selling a new copy for £45 (which was a hell of a lot for a DS game). I decided to buy it anyway and once I got picked up from school later that week, there it was, just waiting to be played. And oh my gosh 999 absolutely blew me away. It was phenomenal and I played it whenever I could, completing it fully so many times. It still stands as one of my favourite games of all time, tied with NiER. When VLR came out I was beyond ecstatic. I didn't have a Vita so I got it on the 3DS. Again, I loved it and couldn't stop playing it...until I got hit with the PEC bug. So I ended up watching the rest of it on youtube because I wanted to see the ending and when I finally got my Vita I bought VLR during a sale and played through the whole game again without having to worry about the PEC bug since it was only in the 3DS version. In short: just please PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A VITA. And also, if you have an old DS, emulator anything, just play 999 because even though I love VLR, 999 still edges over it slightly. This series is just amazing and I have nothing but praise for it. #26-50: #26 - Blazblue: Calamity Trigger Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 8/10 (because of score attack) Blazblue is my proudest platinum that I've achieved, simply due to score attack. For the most part, it's actually not that hard. I had no/very little problems with all opponents (even Hakumen) until I got to the final boss...unlimited Ragna. I lost count of how many times I lost to that asshole but eventually I managed to win. Apart from that, it's just time consuming having to grind out all the online matches, but a friend of mine also wanted to go for the platinum after she too managed to crush Ragna. #27 - Persona 4 Dancing All Night Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 As a fan of Persona 4 and rhythm games, I just had to get this. Story was decent, the gameplay was fun and not too difficult either. Only hard part was clearing one of Teddie's song on the harder difficulties. #28 - Game of Thrones (PS3) Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 I'm a big Game of Thrones fan, so seeing returning characters like Ramsay, Tyrion etc added to the game was a nice touch. The story with the new house was interesting and very GoT as you'd come to expect. The only downside is that in the final episode, on PS3 at least, there were so many technical problems it was nearly unplayable. A shame really but I hadn't gotten my PS4 yet which I'm sure would run much more smoothly on there. #29 - Amnesia: Memories Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 The last otome game I'd played was Starry Sky before I picked up Amnesia. It's decent but the boys were kind of a let down for me. Kent was the only one I really liked, Shin was okay too but the other three (especially Toma) I just didn't like at all. Still, the concept was good but there are better otome games out there. #30 - Grim Fandango Remastered (Vita) Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I'd been wanting to play this for a while as I'd remembered hearing about it years prior about how good Grim Fandango was. So when it was one of the free PS+ games one month, I instantly downloaded it. The story is definitely one of the most quirky and intriguing concepts I've come across which was really refreshing. The characters were whacky and the puzzles entertaining too. Tank controls were a bit of a pain but on the vita is was easier to control. #31 - Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f (PS3) Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Project Diva is in my opinion the best rhythm game series out there. It's just so much fun, the songs are catchy and there's quite a lot of content too. Platinum wasn't too grindy either, only the diva room events were a little bit annoying but not annoying enough to ruin my enjoyment of the first diva game. #32 - Hitman GO: Definitive Edition Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Fun little puzzle game, definitely suited for the vita. Most puzzles were easy enough but I did have to look up a couple that stumped me. With a guide all throughout this would probably be one of the easiest platinums out there. #33 - Dynasty Warriors 7 Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 I love Chinese history and enjoyed reading The Three Kingdoms before I got into the Dynasty Warriors series properly, so the addition of the Jin kingdom was something I really enjoyed. I thought 7 was much better in terms of gameplay, character designs and story compared to DW6. I loved it so much I even put up with grinding all the friendship levels and skill points which took a few days of solid playing. The added quiz master was something I also thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. #34 - Life is Strange (PS3) Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I don't think I can say anything else that's already been said about Life is Strange to be honest. It's a really great interactive game, the story is touching and THAT ENDING. I loved it and I'm pretty sure most people loved it too. #35 - Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I can't remember how long DWE6 had been sat in my backlog but I'm pretty sure it must've been over a year at least - whoops! Definitely the easiest of the Empire games but I think it's probably the weakest (Empires 7 is my favourite). Still, if you like Dynasty Warriors, then you'll probably like this one but ultimately the newer entries are a lot better. #36 - Norn9 Var Commons Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 My friend and I decided to each play Norn9 and Code: Realize so I picked Norn9 to play first while she picked Code: Realize first. Norn9 has probably the most amount of routes/boys I've come across in an otome game before as well as three different heroines, so there's definitely going to be at least one boy the player will really like. Senri ended up being both my favourite route and boy in the end. The whole sci-fi concept was pretty good too and different but after about the 4th route, everything started to get a bit repetitive and there were large chunks of text I'd already previously read a couple of times. #37 - Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 BEST OTOME GAME EVER. ALSO, IMPEY IS BEST BOY. Seriously though, this is everything I ever wanted in an otome game: cute boys, an awesome story and best of all a heroine that isn't completely useless! I loved the steampunk setting, enjoyed every route and even liked all of the boys which is a first for me since there's always at least one I end up disliking. Code: Realize is definitely the best otome game I've played so far and probably the best out in the west at the moment. #38 - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I wanted a new fighting game so I picked this one up because it was pretty cheap. Not being familiar with the source material didn't affect my enjoyment at all and piqued my interest enough to go check out the series. #39 - Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 I'd wanted to try a Senran Kagura game for ages so decided to try out the rhythm game. I knew what I was going into for the most part at least but it was fun, the songs were okay but I wish there had been a few more. #40 - Corpse Party Blood Drive Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 The first Corpse Party is one of my all time favourite games and Book of Shadows was really enjoyable too. However, Blood Drive kind of let me down considering it was supposed to be the conclusion to the series. The transition from 2D to 3D didn't spoil anything for me, I actually quite liked it but it was the story that felt weak and kind of all over the place to be honest. Blood Drive was still pretty gory though but nowhere near the levels of the first two games. As this was the conclusion too, I really wanted to see how they were going to be end it and it felt like a mixed bag. I was kind of happy about one part of the ending (sorry no spoilers!) but the other part just felt too abrupt? I don't know, I still liked the game but sadly didn't love it like the previous two. #41 - Day of the Tentacle Remastered (Vita) Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Another remaster from LucasArts, the team behind Grim Fandango. Much like Grim, I liked the whacky characters and point and click style adventure. It was nice they included Maniac Mansion too. #42 - Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent's Curse Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Another point and click mystery style game and also my first PS4 platinum! I grabbed this cheap when I first got my PS4 since I find these types of games relaxing. The story was really good and I loved the character interactions, especially between George and Nico. George's fear of goats was also a highlight for me. #43 - Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Type-0 was one of the games I bought a PS4 for and it really did live up to my expectations. The combat was really fun and the story was decent, not amazing, but good enough. AND THAT ENDING. I think probably because I hadn't played a final fantasy game since Lightning Returns made it more enjoyable for me too but overall I really liked it. #44 - Nubla Enjoyment: 5/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 I had a few quid left on my store account and Nubla looked interesting and cheap so thought I'd download it to play for one afternoon. The art style is really nice but it was just too short to leave any sort of impression on me. I think I remember reading somewhere that this is only one part of the game but I could be wrong. However, if there is another part, I may check it out to see where it goes from there. #45 - The Order: 1886 Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I decided to wait for The Order to drop in price after hearing it was on the short side. The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is fun, it's just a shame that it wasn't longer and felt really rushed. The story was set up to be so interesting but then after getting into it, it just sort of...ended. A real shame because this could've been so good if only it had been longer. #46 - Zero Time Dilemma Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 ZTD was going to be my 50th platinum but I honestly couldn't wait to play it because it's my most anticipated game of 2016 and my gosh did it deliver. After six years, the Zero Escape series finally came to a conclusion and it was just amazing. Most of the important questions were answered, there were returning characters from both 999 and VLR and the story was mind-blowing as always. If you have a Vita or a 3DS, you NEED to play this series from the beginning. ZTD is my game of the year and I honestly don't think anything is going to top it. #47 - Catlateral Damage Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I saw one of my friends playing this on steam a while ago and she really enjoyed it and recommended it to me as a fun time waster. It's a silly game but wrecking stuff as an angry cat was a ton of fun. #48 - Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Thought I'd give Trine 3 a go since it looked so pretty and to see if it was any better than Trine 2. I enjoyed it more than the previous game but again it felt too rushed and short. #49 - Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Oh maaaaan I really love this game! To begin with, I wasn't totally captured by any of the boys. However, after finishing all the routes and the side stories etc, I had two clear favourites and characters like Okita that I didn't like at all during his route, I ended up actually liking by the end of it all. Heisuke and Saito are still the best though. I'd definitely recommend it if you like otome games, cute samurai boys and/or a decent story! #50 - Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 The big 50! I love Odin Sphere to pieces. The story is beautiful, the gameplay is so much fun and all of the characters are likeable. Even today Odin Sphere stands up so well thanks to the beautiful art style considering it was released nearly 10 years ago. It was funny, emotional, and the final ending image was heartbreaking. #51-75: #51 - Until Dawn Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Another game that I really wanted to own once I finally got around to buying a PS4. And yay, a game where choices do actually matter! Until Dawn was so cheesy like a B rated horror movie at times but the story was good, most of the cast (except Emily) were likeable and I loved all the references to a bunch of different classic horror films. #52 - L.A. Noire Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I'd been wanting to play L.A. Noire for as long as I can remember, however I had never managed to find a physical copy for a decent price until recently. I was so looking forward to playing this and I ended up enjoying ever second of it - even when searching for all the cars! The cases were all really interesting and the themes it deals with was kind of surprising (in a good way). I had mixed feelings towards a lot of the characters throughout, but by the end of the game and through viewing extra events like the newspapers, everything made sense and I grew to like a lot of the cast including Phelps. Except Roy. Because let's face it, he's just an ass. I really hope that one day there's a sequel to L.A. Noire eventually (I can keep hoping at least!) but either way, I enjoyed my time in L.A. and plan to head back when I get around to buying the extra DLC cases. #53 - Final Fantasy VII Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 Oh gosh I remember playing this years ago to 100% completion because I loved it that much, so I was worried that I wasn't going to enjoy it as much as I did back then. I have to say that my worries were for naught as I enjoyed every second of it going back again! FFVII has my favourite story from the series by far. For how old the game is, it's remarkable that the story goes so deep. The materia system is also my favourite ability system I've come across in a JRPG and the battle system as a whole still, in my opinion, holds up really well to this day. I was excited for the remake anyway, but now I'm doubly hyped after completing it again and I really can't wait to go back to Midgar when it's finally released! #54 - Under Defeat HD Deluxe Edition Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Ah this brings back memories! One of my friends used to have this on their Dreamcast and we'd always compete for the high score, so it was really nice to go back and play the HD version years later. Definitely a fun arcade style shooter that I'd highly recommend for anyone that likes the genre. #55 - Samurai Warriors 4 Empires Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 5/10 Woohoo! I now have a Samurai Warriors & a Dynasty Warriors platinum. I'm a big fan of the Empires games, I love that you can have pretty much all of your favourites in one scenario if you choose to and it's usually addictive as hell. I never intended to go for the platinum for this at all but I couldn't put it down. The platinum ended up taking 32 hours, 10 of which I'm pretty sure was just trying to acquire the battle tactics alone. I've not played any of the Samurai Warriors Empires games before so I was really happy to see that it didn't share too many similarities to the Dynasty Warriors Empires games, adding their own twist with castle management and different events but while still keeping to the same formula. There are only two annoying trophies, not so much difficult though, and those are the 100% event completion trophy and obtaining all of the battle tactics. The only downside is there's no proper guide and still speculation as to what triggers certain events/what's needed for the battle tactics trophy so some of it was pretty much luck. I had so much fun with SW4E though and I'll probably end up going back to it from time to time anyway since it's so enjoyable. Probably the best out of the Empires games, though DW7E is very close behind. #56 - Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations (PS4) Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I'm a big fan of Adventure Time and wanted to pick up some of the games. It's a good point & click adventure style game. The cases are quirky as expected of AT and the art style (on the PS4) looked really colourful and vibrant. Enjoyed it quite a bit, though on the short side. Still, it was fun for a relaxing afternoon. #57 - Sword Art Online: Lost Song Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Figured I'd finally go back and clear the post-game & grind for extra quests. Didn't take half as long as I thought it would and still found it enjoyable. Glad I finished it as the story & gameplay were sooo much better than Hollow Fragment which sucked. Hopefully the third entry will be as good as Lost Song or even better. #58 - Wheels of Aurelia Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Wheels of Aurelia looked really interesting when I saw it pop up on the PS Store when it first released and for £6 thought I'd give it a go. The narrative style and multiple endings were simple but I thought it worked pretty well. It's got a visual novel-esque style to it with the odd race and driving simulation thrown in too. All of the characters were interesting (Gorilla was my favourite) and you can choose to give people the silent treatment or get to know them in much more detail. The platinum was pretty simple but there are quite a few endings to achieve so it got a little boring towards the end with backtracking for cars, going through the same section for the 5th time to reach a new ending etc. #59 - Lara Croft GO Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 I enjoyed Hitman Go and wanted to try out Lara Croft GO too, especially because I wanted to save #60 for Final Fantasy. I loved the puzzles more than Hitman but thought they were easier overall. Still, despite the short length, it's still really enjoyable with some really creative puzzles. #60 - Final Fantasy XV Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 After so long of waiting for this and after 53 hours of time spent with the boys, I have some seriously mixed feelings towards Final Fantasy XV. My biggest issue is the story (especially the extremely rushed second half and the gaping plot holes) but on the other hand, combat was so much fun and addictive and the main four boys were just so much fun to be around - 40 hours in and there was still new dialogue showing up between them on car journeys! I still very much enjoyed the game despite these flaws and with Square Enix announcing that they'll be adding extra scenes to clear up the story and more features too, I hope in about half a year I'll be going back to Insomnia to try out all the new content to further enhance the experience. #61 - XBlaze Lost: Memories (Vita) Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 The first XBlaze was pretty decent, serving as a prequel to the Blazblue universe but the first half of the sequel, Lost: Memories, just felt kind of wasted with recapping a lot of the first game. Nobody's and Me's interactions were quite entertaining though and the references to the Blazblue games (especially two characters in particular) were nice and added interesting plot points. The second half became a bit more interesting but still wasn't great. If you're a Blazblue fan, I'd recommend it, but otherwise it probably won't hold your attention for long. #62 - Rocket League Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 This game was so much fun and it's my first platinum of 2017! I was put-off from buying this since I missed it on PS+ and I'm usually awful at any type of game that requires driving but I found Rocket League a lot easier than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed playing online with friends and against the A.I. too and I ended up becoming addicted. It's definitely one I'm going to continue playing, especially if the updates keep coming! #63 - Batman (PS4) Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Interesting take on the Batman universe by Telltale games. As a Batman fan in general, and after hearing a lot of mixed feelings towards the game, I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would! The story was interesting and the twists were well-done. Hopefully the ending signifies a season 2. #64 - Steins;Gate 0 Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Great follow-up to the original Steins;Gate; new characters were great and I loved the interactions with the new and existing cast (Suzuha & Daru's banter was my absolute favourite). The story was still really interesting and convoluted as expected, but the ending came off as confusing and wasn't fully explained. I'm probably just being picky because of how great the first one was but I still enjoyed 0 regardless. #65 - Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour Enjoyment: 2/10 (due to constant crashes) Personal Difficulty: 2/10 I played the original Duke Nukem 3D on PlayStation years ago and absolutely adored it, so I was really looking forward to playing it on PS4. This would have been so much fun, had the game decided to not crash on me twice within the first FIVE MINUTES and it didn't stop there. I ended up giving up not even halfway through the first level because of having it constantly crashing, losing progress etc so I ended up just going for the platinum in the end since it was pretty straightforward and I wanted to be done with this version for completions sake. Love the original but this version just plain sucks. #66 - Last Rebellion Enjoyment: 6/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Clearing off some of my ridiculous backlog starting with Last Rebellion because it's been sat on my shelf for over a year now. I only wanted to play this for the battle system and in that aspect it didn't disappoint me. Everything else was pretty average aside from the soundtrack which I thought was actually pretty good. Nice to play a short and sweet JRPG for a change, and for the most part I thought it was quite fun, but I totally can see why people really didn't enjoy this game. #67 - Saints Row IV Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 My first Saints Row game and definitely not my last! I had an absolute blast with this one. The game is one big giant WTF but it's just so fun and it's been so long since a game had me laughing as much as SRIV did. The story was entertaining and the challenges were actually pretty fun along with the loyalty missions, the only boring part was completing the rest of the homie missions which were pretty repetitive. Even collecting the data clusters wasn't even that bad thankfully! Definitely going to pick up Saints Row The Third and eventually get around to playing Gat out of Hell as well, so hopefully I'll enjoy them as much as this one! #68 - Root Letter Enjoyment: 8/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Initially hearing mixed things I was on the fence about buying Root Letter but I really enjoyed it overall! The story, the Ace Attorney-esque gameplay segments and the diverse endings were interesting and kept me hooked and left satisfied by the time it was over. The Cursed Letter Ending was definitely my favourite, along with the Bonds of Marriage ending but the others were pretty good too. #69 - NieR: Automata Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 4/10 I don't really know where to even start with this one to be honest! As the first NieR is in my top three all-time favourite games, when Automata was first announced I pretty much screamed at the announcement. I wanted it to live up to the first game in every way possible and oh boy did it ever! Combat was fast and fun, typical of Platinum games, characters were likeable and interesting and above all else, the story and soundtrack were both AMAZING. They even threw in some easter eggs for the original NieR (Ending Y feelings especially oh my gosh) but you don't have to play the original to enjoy this one. I enjoyed every second of my time with Automata and currently this has knocked Yakuza 0 off my game of year spot so far. It's gonna be pretty hard to top it though and we're only in March! #70 - Zero Escape: The Nonary Games Enjoyment: 10/10 Personal Difficulty: 3/10 Ah what a change to play these games on the big screen! 999 is still my all-time favourite game so to play it 5 years later with voice acting and updated graphics as well was amazing. It's still as enjoyable as when I first played it on the DS back when it first released and now with these extra additions people definitely don't have an excuse to not play it! Of course, while VLR remains pretty much the same, it was still a fun experience to be able to play it again after completing it on both 3DS and Vita. These games are brilliant and with Zero Time Dilemma coming to PS4 as well, the trilogy will finally be completed on the same platform so go play them! #71 - Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride Enjoyment: 7/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 Clearing off some of the shorter games I have in my crazy backlog. Purchased this in the sale pretty much because I thought the art was pretty. After finishing Persona 5 I definitely needed to play some shorter games that were more relaxing and this was definitely one of them. Story was decent enough to keep me interested and the puzzles were okay too. For a Hidden Object puzzle type of game I enjoyed it for what it was, the only downside was doing two playthroughs just for the domino puzzles. #72 - Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink Enjoyment: 3/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Because I enjoyed Grim Legends so much, when Clockwork Tales also went in the sale I grabbed it thinking I'd enjoy it just as much, especially because of the Steampunk setting. I hate to say it but I was pretty disappointed with this one. Puzzles were okay again but it was too short and the story didn't keep me interested at all despite my love for the steampunk setting. #73 - BigFest Enjoyment: 5/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Pretty simple sim/tycoon management game that I forgot I had still sitting on my vita unplayed when I purchased it on sale about a year ago. Fun for what it was but numerous glitches and the fact that the game couldn't stay connected to the network for more than 15 minutes impacted the overall enjoyment I had with BigFest. #74 - Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek Enjoyment: 5/10 Personal Difficulty: 1/10 Another hidden object puzzle game. Pretty much decided to beat this one quickly so Tekken could be my 75th platinum milestone. Decent, if slightly cliche, story but still fun for what it is. Still prefer the newer entries by Artifex though. #75 - Tekken 7 Enjoyment: 9/10 Personal Difficulty: 2/10 As a huge Tekken fan the wait & hype for 7 was massive for me! Gonna agree with others though that the offline mode is lacking compared to previous entries but the gameplay is the best it's ever been in my opinion. Online is pretty fun as well and once it's more stable I'm definitely going to spend more time there. Tournaments are so addictive and a lot of fun - definitely my favourite feature for this entry. Hopefully as time goes on & new content is added it'll prolong my playing time, though for now I'm just content with working my way through the ranks again with my favourite fighters. 100%: Thank you for checking out my trophy list! Any feedback is appreciated. Goodbye & happy gaming! Edited June 5, 2017 by Tali Added platinum #75!
