Spring Backlog Challenge 2017

Gone pretty quiet around here. It seems everyone is getting ready for the summer challenge.

Turns out Iron Man sucks just as much at the end of the game as it did at the beginning. I read that it was pretty easy, but the controls seem so counter-intuitive that I just cannot seem to do that well. It definitely bumps up the difficulty for me at least.

 

I'm going to add another game, I think I will see if I can max out and hit the 15 game limit.

So I finished Iron Man and it turns out I'm just kinda unintelligent. The reason why the game was so much harder than everyone said was because I was playing on a higher difficulty than I had to. Once I figured that out it was much easier. Still not a great game but if I had figured that out originally it would have been a much more enjoyable experience.

 

Should finish up Adventure Time today out tomorrow (probably tomorrow). I'm adding another game too.

I've finally finished Lego Indiana Jones 2, I didn't suffer from the known trophy glitches but did have a handful of hard crashes, the biggest delay was not realising 'quick play' was in the creator section so I wasted a few hours replaying the whole thing in level select which doesn't count for anything 

 

As that was platinum number 9 and I want Horizon to be number 10 there will now be another delay to finishing this challenge, I'll miss the May 31st deadline but wil persevere into June to get them finished, hopefully before the end of Spring.

Small update

 

Atelier Meruru is at 37% right now. Making more progress in this game. Since the last time I updated, I've completed my first playthrough and am almost done with my 2nd. It might take me awhile though. I need to remake my ultimate items and equipment again. I should have enough time. Maybe not much time for everything, but maybe at least the accessories and a good item for Meruru to use in battle.

Ugh. Good luck with that. I played its prequel(Guided Fate Paradox) and completed the first dungeon, but got bored with it. Nippon Ichi distributed games are always clustertrucks of complex game mechanics, but adding a rogue-like game into the mix is a perfect storm of disaster for me. I wish you better luck with Awakened Fate.

Having only completed two of the five games, I think it's fair to say I've failed to achieve this challenge, although on the bright side one of those was a five parter so in all I've got six new S ranks.  I got distracted by Horizon Zero Dawn which I wanted to be my 10th platinum, so I played that rather than clear CSI and The Walking Dead off my backlog.

 

As I never touched Lego Marvel Superheroes I'll move that across into the Summer challenge, in the meantime I'll finish off CSI and The Walking Dead and update here when I'm done.  In addition to Lego Marvel Superheroes I'll also add five new games to the new challenge so at least I'll be on 10 total across the two challenges.

I may just try and tackle the rest of them later, once I get Persona out of the way, but that will take quite a bit of time by itself.
