Popular Post BurnedChipmunk
Hey. New to trophies and new to the site. Thought I'd pop in and say hi... This is my second PSN account after my first was banned when it was hacked and I refused to pay for the digital games the hacker bought with my card. I don't have my card stored on PSN any more and I refuse to buy digital now after seeing how easily it can be taken away if Sony decides they don't like you. That said that was over 2 years ago now and I'm really loving my Playstation consoles, even if I don't much trust Sony. At least the games are fun... As you can see, I just hit Level 6 which I know is considered quite low. It's about on par with where my old account was 2 years ago, so I've not done too much when it comes to being a completionist. I've poured hours into certain games but that doesn't get you trophies. You don't get trophies for replaying Dynasty Warriors 8, pissing about in GTA 5, or playing through Fallout 4 with mods on. You also don't get trophies on PSOne classics which is a shame because I love playing them on my Vita. My chosen systems now are Playstation for most games. I've got PS3, Vita, and PS4 but I also play on PC, Xbox 360, 3DS, and Wii U. Don't own an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch. I already have too many systems and games in my backlog to justify buying more. Game wise, I've got a big Wii U collection as it's my favourite system and I chose 360 over PS3 last gen (at first), so some of the big names like Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect I've got on Xbox 360, but my biggest collection is PS3 as I've bought up a lot of cheap games over the last few years. At the moment I'm looking at maybe getting my first Platinum. Really enjoying 'InFamous: First Light' on PS4 and I think I'm going to try to platinum it. I've always said if I ever decided to bother with trophies that I'd never go for the easy ones. The crappy indie games that hand out plats in two hours or less, or the Telltale Games plats that you just get for finishing a point an click. That just seems too easy. I'd rather have no trophies than have the "Hannah Montana: The Movie" platinum after all. I am looking forward to actually trying to get a couple of decent platinum trophies though, here's hoping I can grab a few. Anyway, it's nice to meet you all. Hi, I guess.

BlueDragonRR
Welcome to PSNP. Glad to have you around. When it comes to completions and trophies, you have to decide what that means for you. For some it's quantity and/or quality. Everyone has their reasons for doing it. For me, I play games that I like, have an interest in, or are free on PS Plus. Not one for quantity since that can get pretty expensive and very time consuming. I barely have time for the handful of games I do have. The point is, define what a "completionist" means to you. Don't let others define it for you because living up to others expectations isn't ideal. And don't dive into the deep end too quick. I've met many people who get burned out over what they used to enjoy doing, myself included. Take it slow and just have fun with it. Just my two cents to you. May fortune smile upon you. BurnedChipmunk
Thanks for the welcomes guys. Looking forward to actually getting into the whole Platinum Trophy thing... Just realised I'm really close to the 'InFamous: Second Son' platinum without even actively attempting to get it. So I may finish that off, I'm only a few trophies away and they're not actually all that difficult. Also recently started FFX HD Remaster on PS Vita. I completed this 100% on PS2 back in the day so this should be a fairly easy platinum to get for me. It's just a pity you can't get platinums on the PSOne classics as I'd have multiple Final Fantasy plats otherwise.
