Popular Post unnxandros
So, I was going to write the trophy guide on this one but I have conflicting information on 4 trophies with some friends saying they are easy to miss, some saying they are missable and I don't wanna upload incorrect info. So instead I'll do what I did with Summon Nights6 and upload tips. Expanded Thoughts on Trophies: Unlike Demon Gaze where you could create any character you wanted to, grow him as you like, in this game you capture demons and make them fight with you (you can still raise their stats as you see fit). The game gives you some pretty useful demons at the beginning of the game, specially Capricorn and Pegasus whose level 5 Demon abilities grant +20%HP | +20% Phys Dmg and +20% HP | -20% Phys Dmg received respectively. I played the game with Demon Gazer, Leo (Agility based frontliner), Pegasus, Capricorn and Libra (Healer). There's a new ability called Demonize that spends a Demon Gauge which turns your demons into their demon forms and allow you to use Demon Skills. Once this bar is depleted you go back to your normal forms. I once again relied consistently on Capricorns and Pegasus Active Demon Skills: Iron Shell (Increases defense for 1, 2 or 3 turns depending on level) and Assault Drive I, II or III. Assault Drive is specially useful because at level 2 or 3 it deals a lot of damage (ignoring enemy DeF) and buff your own DEF and AGI. The draw back is that all of you demons attack at the same time and as such you can't do any other actions. I mentioned Demonize because at the two lowest difficulties you get the ability to revive IN BATTLE if you party gets wiped out. You can do this (I wanna say its called Light of Salvation) thrice for the easiest difficulty and once for the second easiest diff. If you get revived with this your Demon Gauge will be back at 100% meaning that you can spam your skills and make the game extremely easy. Cancer's DLC is included in the game, but its not needed for the platinum. Some info on that DLC: Your max level is raised to 99 (you'll need it) and difficulty must be set to Hot or higher (meaning no Light of Salvation). Story Trophies: Three gold trophies. One for the quest that takes you to the last dungeon, finishing the game, and post game boss. Demons Trophies: One bronze per demon, three of those are silvers for the questors (special, unmissable Demons) and one silver trophy for getting all of them (including the allegedly missable demons and excluding the DLC) Maintenance Trophies: Lazarem gives you the ability to do maintenance on your demons, which is actually the dating mini game. You get an image of a Demonized... demon and you have to find her/his sweet spot. After you level up a demon once you get a bronze trophy and once you take a demon to max level (5) you get a silver one. First one is mandatory, second one isn't but super doable early game if you want to. Gathering Trophies: Mushroom and Skull Gathering trophies are back. Mushrooms are always located in a same map, ie 666th Avenue's Mushrooms are all located in the Restricted Back Alley, while the skulls for 666th Ave's are scattered in different maps. I posted my 14 videos below with all the locations. "Gazer" Trophies: These trophies (Rookie Gazer, Full-Fledged Gazer and Master Gazer) are levelling trophies. Im not sure if you get the first two at 15 and 30, but you definitely get the last one at level 40 so if you are planning on beating the post game, you'll make it there in no time. Misc Trophies: First Transformation is obtained by using the Demonize skill, its mandatory. First Fusion is for fusing with a Demon, you'll get a tutorial late in the game for this but you can beat that fight without fusing... Just Demonize and then select Cross. There's a video at the end of this post on how to Demon Cross (aka Fusion). Private Room is similar to the first game, you rent rooms to place your demons, I recall you given a free room and the trophy but I might be wrong. Treasure Hunter is explained in the first demon circle tutorial, It's how you farm for items. Missable? Trophies: As i said earlier, I'm having some issues discerning if three demons are missable or not. Said demons are Hydra, Aquarius and Scorpio. I did get Hydra as soon as it was available but I got Aquariius and Scorpio after I was done with the post-game. If they are missable I had the requirements cleared by then, but again let's just be cautious and do the ASAP. Hydra: So the reason for this to be missable or not is if you clear the other demon before her. Just to avoid this go and look for her first, or at least get her quest. How to do so? Once you get access to the Pirate Graveyard go down to the Passage of Wraiths. At X09Y02 you'll find the teleport stone. If you travel West you'll enter Hydra's domain and as such the ability to capture here, to the east is a different Demon's domain and the one that supposedly makes you miss Hydra. Aquarius: The reason on why this trophy might be missable is that you progressed far enough that you won't be able to get these quests? In order to get Aquiarus you need to obtain Lepus and Vulpecula. Once you obtain Vulpecula, head for the tavern and a scenario will play automatically and you will obtain a quest called 'Liquor Thief?' - This quest will require you to go to the Mausoleum of Lamps and find a bottle at the Secret King Tomb - X05Y18 (Just hit the three walls and one will have it). As soon as you do, you'll fight Aquarius Scorpio: Again, I don't understand how this could be missable, because the events are mandatory... After you complete the mandatory (Am I stressing this enough?) quest 'Operation Muse Recovery' is fulfilled you'll get a mandatory quest called 'All of the Depths' - At this point you can go into the showers in your HQ and will get a quest for Scorpio. Just follow the description and you will be able to capture her. Again, I can't stress this enough Im 99% Sure that this trophies are not missable. I got Aquarius and Scorpio after beating the post-game boss a couple of times. In Aquarius case, Vulpecula and Lepus are mandatory so her requirements will be fulfilled everytime and as such you can prompt the quest whenever. As explained earlier Scorpio's requirements are also prompted by mandatory quests. My suspicion as it always happen with games that are released first in Japan is badly translated trophy guides: I know that this trio are optional demons and if you are not actively looking for them you might miss 'em. Again, is safer to err in the side of caution. bodigard
im interested in this game - as far as difficulty and time to plat what would you say?
unnxandros
Difficulty? 2/10 to get the piat in the easiest difficulty. Time to plat? My Platinum save file is at 37hrs, but you have to take into account that I was recording stuff for the video guide and all... I would say 30 hrs is a good number, even less if you are skipping dialog.

GarciaFever
Thank you for the info @unnxandros. For those who never played the first game, would it be better to play this game on the PS4 or the Vita. I myself will be playing it on the vita so as to keep it together with the first one. As welcome as it is playing it on the PS4, the game feels naturally tailored to the Vita, and it shows. I'm currently jumping back into this game after putting it down for a while. At this time, the money earned is still glitches for the PS4. In battles I would gain maybe 80 gold, but when I check my money after battle it was actually higher than that. This is wonderful when it comes to spamming the lotto to potentially get gold and increase gems,, and the bargain bin where you tend to find better weapons than the crap that Cassel sells all the time. Almost done with the main story, and if there's one thing that can make or break your time playing its learning how to abuse the difficulty changing. I find it best to pump up the difficulty for regular battles and especially when using gems at the circles. Save ALWAYS before you use artifact gems and never use them without a Gold gem and increase 2 gems preferably. If you dont like what you get, close the app and reload. The first game was better IMO, but this one is still solid and is loads of fun when you are mopping the floor with baddies
