DeejBruce
Something fell on my ps3 when it was off and I can't tell if it's normally loud when a disc is in but games are loading up fine as is everything else and nothing sounds loose Am I just freaking out over nothing? Guest
If you shake it and it doesn't sound like loose parts, its perfectly ok.

LuciaRosethorn
Maybe drop something else on it so you can hear the difference? In all seriousness, you're more the likely over thinking it. The older consoles were built to last, the amount of times I've abused the PS3 by dropping it and it still lives is amazing.
SolarCat02
The PS3 is surprisingly sturdy. I dropped my slim on the floor once and all that did was bend the plastic around the power button. Just make sure nothing rattles, and dust around it periodically to keep the airflow clean, and you should be fine.
skateak
I am sure it is fine. As others have said, the PS3's are pretty tough. I have known people that have had them tumble down stairs only to have a few scratches. If it was a Super Slim I would be a little more worried since the disc tray is right on top and the plastic seems super cheap.
