Coop can be done solo (main game)

The co-op trophies of this game can be done solo. All you need is a second joystick. The game, even in coop, on braindead is a piece of cake. Reduce the armor of the second player to the bare minimum, then when the level starts throw him into the hands of the nearest group of zombies (or one). It will take sometime for him to die, but once he does you can play solo the rest of the level. Only annoying thing is that on all level ends where there is no weapons depot the game will go nuts and spawn the second player in a way that you can't play. You'll have to abort, return to main menu, and then continue coop from that point.

On braindead if you have the whole Protosuit 5 you'll have to do some really serious mess to die. If you don't have it, it's really easy to get the Survivor trophy (Complete A Mission Without Dying) on the first mission, I would have if didn't had it already and even not made any serious effort, it's really easy, all you need is some care on the mission finale (use flares).

 

If you do a thorough massacre and kill 99.9%+ zombies on 3 playthroughs difficulties (normal to get King Of Looters and get acquainted with the game, grim to open morbid, and morbid to have some real fun) + coop you'll kill around 49000 zombies, so Genocidiary will not be far to reach.

 

It would be awesome if the DLC trophy for coop could also be done solo, but I doubt it. But there could someone crazy enough to attempt, even some to succeed.

Do you mean "Dinamic Duo"? It can be done solo with a second controller on Braindead difficulty, I did it that way last night, it only took me 3 tries.

 

Choose the Money & Health route, then the Money route. The first and second areas are easy, on the third one you'll be ambushed, keep your second controller character behind and throw a flare, get rid of all the zombies you can, throw your second flare and try killing the rest. If there are still too many zombies alive, take your second controller and use its flares according to the situation. After all zombies are dead, go right through the open gate and then go up into the next area. If everything was successfully done the trophy will pop on the results screen.
