"Platting" this right now

Hi, folks!
I'm getting the trophies for this game on 2021 (minus the online ones )

And as this is not an ultra known game and it's kind of old by today's standards, it was kind of hard getting the right tips for some of the more challenging trophies.

But I'm getting there slowly and I'll leave here some of the resources I'm using that are still up and running 12 years after the game's release:

 

1- Useful video with all kombo challenges getting done so you can kind of look at them and see if you're doing something off.

 

2-VERY useful channel Kombo Challenges guides with step by step explaining

3-This is the HOLY GRAIL for the Super Moves Trophy. If you follow this videos step by step, you'll definitely end up getting the obscure move or promove you need to get the trophy. Remember that this trophy has to be done on Arcade or Practice modes. Moves done on Kombo Challenges don't count.

 

If you are stuck on something and need a hand, let me know. I'm just halfway there but maybe I can help.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this.  I knocked out the online trophies in this game way back before the servers went down but got frustrated pretty quick with the difficulty of the Kombo Challenges and it's been sitting in my profile unfinished for years.  After watching some of these videos (mostly the second link you posted, those are awesome and super helpful!!!) I've been able to knock out a bunch of them and will hopefully have the game done within the week

I had so much fun playing this back in the day and seeing this brought me back. Btw Raiden has a certain special move that has a few iterations and every move can be done in practice mode. It’s be cool to get a sequel that played more like mk and not injustice

Man I wish these would return in the newer mortal kombat/injustice games... definitely one of the more challenging fighting game platinums out there.

That one was definitely tricky!  I did manage to get it done yesterday though!  Down to Sonya #9,10, Kano #10, and Raiden #10 remaining.

 

EDIT: Got the plat!  Raiden #10 was definitely the most difficult for for me.  I had to use the wall trick for the double teleport.

Nice job! The combo challenges in this game were... strange... to say the least. I don't like how you need to input them all one after the other in rapid succession at the beginning of the combo. I'm a lot more used to having to time each move individually (as most others are too). I used to play a lot fighters from ArcSys and Atlus and I actually found most of the combos easier in those games than the ones in MKvsDCU. It took me a while to get adjusted to this strange input system. That's one of the reasons why I put this game off for so long hehe.

Great videos, I would have loved to plat this game... sadly never got the online trophies... Hope something like Gonespy can be done someday...

Oh memories! It s been 10 years since i played this and platinumed it. Wish they make some new MK with these challenges. And damn kombo challenges were hard, but still easier than SF IV trials. To this date, doing that trials with a DS3 and without exploits is the hardest thing i ve done on playstation and i played a lot of very hard stuff.

Crazy to think that you’re cock blocked from the platinum by the online trophies considering the fact you have every trophy on the game obtained except the online ones, considering the fact the servers are shut down.

Done! I did platting this in 2021, it cost, but for me, it was not too much. Too sad that we cannot get three easy online trophies for the platinum, but well, it is what it is.

8 years too late, My dreams are crushed. And I'm 1 online trophy away from platinum. What a challange this was, and a strange one. It felt magnificent getting these Kombo challanges done. Thanks for the post.
