I and a friend had tried for a few days to connect to each other (both UK, physical copies) but to no avail. We could connect in other games but not in Godzilla for VS mode. I opened all the ports for the PS4 through my router... found on the portforward site. If nothing changes by early next week, it's pretty safe to assume the servers may well be toast . Have you tried contacting the devs and publisher?
