High Speed Mode

Today, Square Enix added a High Speed Mode, which increases the speed of everything in game except narration and combat. It has to be turned on manually every time you play and they said it can cause some weirdness in game, which can be fixed by turning it off.

Wonder how much time that can shave off completion.

Does it affect the card parlour game too? 

 

This is a good change as it being sluggish was a common complaint when they released the demo for the game. Should speed up the time to complete too as a lot of time does get wasted on the sluggish animations.

Anyone run into any of the "weirdness"? Was curious if this is just to cover them if high speed mode results in bugs or if there's more to it.

If only I saw this post earlier. Did not know the high speed mode before finishing the platinum for the sequel.

 

Update: I don't find any issues with the high speed mode for both games. There is one time when the game master's talk is sped up for the first game, but other than that the gameplay is very smooth.
