Last April, Disney closed down the LucasArts game studio, and it looks like Disney is finally giving up on the developer's last big project by not renewing the Star Wars 1313 trademark. Even after Disney laid off most of the LucasArts staff, it looked like there was a chance that Star War 1313 project could still see the light of day. Unfortunately, late last year Disney failed to renew the trademark and now the US Patent and Trademark Office lists Star Wars 1313 as, "Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued." Jon-Patrick-S Posted January 19, 2014 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I'd like to hope Disney will at least consider reusing the idea in the future even if under a different name. But between closing down LucasArts and alledgedly deciding not to renew licenses on almost all existing Marvel games I'm really not sure they care for gaming at all.
