Can’t load/install the game

So I just bought a copy of Driver and I can’t seem to get past the install screen, it keeps freezing near the end, I don’t know what to do to fix such a thing, I tried a couple of things but none of them work, I need help

A list of what you've tried would help narrow down possible fixes.

 

Is your disc damaged? Have you tried deleting any install files and trying again? Have you disabled your internet connection on the console during install/load?

Also, try running through the file system repair options in Safe Mode.

My disc as no apparent damage on it, no finger print or scratches, I tried deleting the files first and it didn’t work and I also tried running the game while offline and it didn’t work

What PS3 console do you own?

 

I ask because for example if you try to install Fallout: New Vegas on a PS3 Super Slim, it fails but on a fat or slim version it installs perfectly fine.

 

Could be a similar case, ever just step away for awhile and let it run to see if it completes the install. Or does the whole system freeze up, can't access the XMB?

I have a slim ps3, my console doesn’t seem to freeze and I can access the XMB, I’m letting it run right now and I’m away from my place, I’ll check in later

If I had a copy myself I'd test on my slim to see, let us know if you had any success.

I played Driver: SF on my PS3 Slim with no problems. So the model thing should be ruled out, and it makes me think it's more of a disk issue.

More and more I think it’s a disk issue, I’ll try it on another ps3 but the disk might be a goner despite the fact that it looks good

Yes its a disk issue, try another copy, this is common with games that need install data before you start to play it, i had the same with Sims 3, GTAV and Driver.
