Grass2445
So I just bought a copy of Driver and I can’t seem to get past the install screen, it keeps freezing near the end, I don’t know what to do to fix such a thing, I tried a couple of things but none of them work, I need help

Is your disc damaged? Have you tried deleting any install files and trying again? Have you disabled your internet connection on the console during install/load? This^ Also, try running through the file system repair options in Safe Mode.
Grass2445
My disc as no apparent damage on it, no finger print or scratches, I tried deleting the files first and it didn’t work and I also tried running the game while offline and it didn’t work
Null_Spectre
What PS3 console do you own? I ask because for example if you try to install Fallout: New Vegas on a PS3 Super Slim, it fails but on a fat or slim version it installs perfectly fine. Could be a similar case, ever just step away for awhile and let it run to see if it completes the install. Or does the whole system freeze up, can't access the XMB?

I have a slim ps3, my console doesn’t seem to freeze and I can access the XMB, I’m letting it run right now and I’m away from my place, I’ll check in later Edited April 17, 2022 by Archibalt22

JorgeSleep
I played Driver: SF on my PS3 Slim with no problems. So the model thing should be ruled out, and it makes me think it's more of a disk issue.
Grass2445
More and more I think it’s a disk issue, I’ll try it on another ps3 but the disk might be a goner despite the fact that it looks good
ClearVHS
Yes its a disk issue, try another copy, this is common with games that need install data before you start to play it, i had the same with Sims 3, GTAV and Driver.
