From psn store of course or did you mean how I got to find them? I got this pal who is die hard metroidvania fan and constantly pushing me to play the games he recommend. I have to say Blasphemous games are good games especially the first one. The story and cult is rich (no offense to spaniards...). Would be thrilled to play a 3 if there is one. On a side note, Ender magnolia (sequel to Ender lilies) will be out soon that's a pleasant surprise. P.S. Blasphemous I is a psn plus extra free game as for current now so anyone should grab it if interested. I want to get the deluxe physical edition (comes with a stack trophy list) after playing it. If anyone happen to get a copy and is willing to sell let me know~

Good thing you said that... We have but one month left and @SWWDevereux and @YokA_sun are vying for that top spot with both earning a massive 20,000 points each. We are as up to date as we can be and I hope everyone is enjoying their gaming time! Edited February 29 by Psy-Tychist

Popular Post Xylobe
I've gotten quite a few completions this month, though somehow nothing that's eligible for the seasonal bonus: Picto Quest: 100 + (6*5) + (2*16) + (1*4) - 73.45 = 92.55 Minoria: 100 + (6*9) + (2*4) + (1*2) - 43.92 = 120.08 Sword and Fairy 7: Together Forever: 100 + (6*4) + (2*13) + (1*20) - 17.25 = 152.75 Final Fantasy: 100 + (6*7) + (2*6) + (1*10) - 72.84 + 25 (series #1) = 116.16 Final Fantasy II: 100 + (6*7) + (2*5) + (1*15) - 66.67 + 50 (series #2) = 150.33 Final Fantasy III: 100 + (6*6) + (2*8) + (1*16) - 71.08 + 75 (series #3) = 171.92 Final Fantasy IV: 100 + (6*6) + (2*9) + (1*14) - 63.89 + 100 (series #4) = 204.11 Final Fantasy V: 100 + (6*4) + (2*12) + (1*22) - 56.22 + 125 (series #5) = 238.78 Final Fantasy VI: 100 + (6*4) + (2*14) + (1*18) - 39.94 + 150 (series #6) = 280.06 Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion: 100 + (6*3) + (2*5) + (1*42) - 35.06 + 175 (series #7) = 309.94 There's also Saga of the Moon Priestess, which I'm not sure whether to try and claim points for. It's essentially a GBC Zelda game, which I know that some people consider RPGs, but as a longtime fan of that series... I'd call that a major stretch. It has the genre tag, so I'll calculate the points, but I wouldn't be upset if it were to be excluded: 100 + (6*7) + (2*14) + (1*0) - 55.56 + 50 (new game) + 50 (speedrun 6/15) = 214.44 I haven't yet decided whether I'll be participating next year; several of the RPGs I was planning on playing later in the year are on PS3, and the system update a few days ago turned mine into a paperweight. I'm hoping to at least get Final Fantasy VII Rebirth done before the end of March, but we'll see how realistic that is given the PowerPyx guide's estimates.

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Forgot to post this on leap day... Kingdom of Paradise (23.96) 100 + (4G 10S 26B) 70 - 23.95 = 146.05 Probably the most interesting psp game I've played so far and a RPG nonetheless! It's really interesting because when you level up, your stats go up based on what you did. Swing your sword a lot? Strength goes up. Get hit too much? HP goes up more. I've never really seen an older game do this, and found this aspect really interesting. The customization in the game is also top notch and allows for a lot of goofy shenanigans if you get the right parts to make some crazy combos. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has PS Premium. This game is definitely underplayed on the website. Edited March 4 by Beyondthegrave07

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
I better post this before I forget and the event suddenly ends. 😅 I got platinum #200 last night/early this morning with Elden Ring! I actually think I finally hit another seasonal stacker since Dragonburrow is an area in the game where it constantly rains! Gimme that extra 50 pls! 😆 100 + 18 + 28 + 24 - 33.27 = 136.73 + 50 = 186.73. Definitely an amazing open world RPG! I'm not a huge fan of open world games or I should say that I have a very love/hate relationship with them... And by that, I mean I typically love them and put in 100+ hours into them or I hate them and get bored after 10 hours and can't get back into it. I think RPGs are a bit easier to get into than say an open world FPS game just because I enjoy customization, strategy, and character building.. hence why I signed up for a "competition" like this knowing full well I had zero chance of winning. I just enjoy RPGs and want to share what RPGs I'm playing and see what everyone else is doing! If you love open world action RPGs, this is a must play. Don't let the soulsborne reputation scare you. There are plenty of broken builds in the game and plenty to keep yourself busy and level up if you are struggling with a boss. Even just a few levels can make a huge difference. You can also summon friends or summon AI to help you in battle so even if you suck at games like these, it's a lot easier than some of the souls or soulslike games in my humble opinion. Or I guess I should say that I found it like 5x easier than Bloodborne. Not necessarily because the mechanics are vastly different. It's because I explored a ton and was usually on a higher-than-normal level when fighting bosses. I guess that just makes my point of if you like open world RPGs, you won't struggle with this game too much because you'll always be overleveled... like me! BTW, It looks like the spreadsheet hasn't been updated in at least the past week and a half or so. Wonder where I'll stand after adding these past two games?

Popular Post SWWDevereux
Completion #80 REBIRTH!!! What a way to finish the year/competition off. Absolute masterpiece, games with this much content, polish and passion only come around once or twice a decade. It's a great time to be an RPG fan. I did think the projected 200 hour completion criteria was seemingly bloated, and I was right as I clocked in around 135 hours while taking my time (replaying chapters to get different dates etc). The last few combat trials were pretty challenging, this definitely isn't a gimme plat. But no issue if you're a perfect block master!! 100 + (1xG, 5xS, 54xB) = 170 - 1.07 + 50 new game + 50 speed run + 450 series stacker (#18) + 75 seasonal stacker (#2) = 793.93 Seasonal stacker: Chapter 1 has a ton of rain. Sephiroth looks like such a creeper.

Popular Post Caju_94
Last Update I meanwhile got the platinum for one more RPG -> HyperDimension Neptunia 1: ReBirth 2 Bronze Trophies 17 Silver Trophies 100 + 2 + 17*2 - 18,68 - 15 = 102,32 points With the total points I had that makes 546,60+102,32 = 666,92 Well, I didn't score that much this edition. I focused more on various games I had on my backlog, but next 2024 edition I have set the goal of playing more RPGs. I have more RPG whose story I already completed but will leave the platinum to the next 2024 event so I can acumulate some points and get some extra points with the series/season stacking. I also have platinumed Aegis of Earth, however, even though it is labeled as an RPG, it is mainly a RTS, so I won't count it. Popular Post Xylobe
My final update: I managed to get Final Fantasy VII Rebirth done in the nick of time! It should just barely still be eligible for the new game bonus, and it gets the seasonal bonus for reasons @SWWDevereux mentioned: 100 + (6*1) + (2*5) + (1*54) - 3.12 + 50 + 50 + 200 (series #8) = 466.88 points!

The first game's true final boss was pure nightmare fuel(gives you all the status effects in the game and avoid almost all your attacks) whlie the 2nd's was more fair but man did she hit like a truck in her 3rd form even on easy mode/gentle world. Hope there will be a 3rd but anything not Disgaea don't get a 3rd game. Rainday: Spoiler Don't think I can clear the remaining Swarm Disaster stories in Star Rail in 22 hours or less. So this will be the final update for the 2023-early 2024 RPG Mania.
