Can PS5 players play online with PS4 players?

Can PS5 players play multiplayer with PS4 and vice versa? I couldn't find an answer looking online.

I just checked the outside of the sealed copy just before heading to work, but that doesn't answer your question either. It didn't feel like there was any much of a manual either. Maybe you can check the digital manual through your console.

Yeah, they added that option in a patch

The second major update added this functionality to the game. So wether you or the other player is playing on PS4 or PS5, you can host and join multiplayer games no problem, which makes boosting this game very easy.

 

Online's a total ghost town, though, even with cross-gen multiplayer, so you're definitely not gonna find any randoms floating around.

That won’t be an issue. Main thing I wanted to know is if it could be done.

Has this worked for anyone? I can't get my PS5 and PS4 to match up at all. Had no problem with PS4/PS4
