Sipkowitz
Every time I try to enter online with this game I get the following message: "Your system lost connection to the Paradise City servers. Please check your network connection and try again later." Then after a while I get this: "The Burnout Paradise server is not available at this time. Please try again later." What is going on? willmill97
People are still earning trophies so it's probably just your connection.
antithesis
What is going on? EA's servers are notoriously flaky. The solution is to add your PS3 to your router's DMZ. This removes all packet filtering between your PS3, your ISP, the PSN and EA's servers, which basically means a more stable game connection. If you don't know how, Google it - there are several articles out there on PS3-related websites. Also, use an ethernet connection between your PS3 and router, if possible. WiFi is flaky too and will only compound the problem. Edited June 8, 2014 by ant1th3s1s
Dr_Mayus
I was on it about a month ago and it worked fine. Sorry you are having trouble
Sipkowitz
I did the DMZ (Assuming I did it correctly), I just tried port forwarding, I've always used an ethernet cable. I'm simply baffled because I don't know what the problem is, I mean if my connection were bad I wouldn't get into PSN, NAT type has always been 2. I just don't know. X_RaceKing_X
Sometimes this happens, try reconnecting later and it should be fine. Or restart your router/PS3.

skateak
I tried right when I posted last and it worked fine for me. Seen a bunch of people online. I don't think it's EA servers. Edited June 8, 2014 by skateak
Sipkowitz
Did you ever delete or change your account on the EA service? I've played the Battlefield 4 beta, Crysis 3 beta, Bad Company, just recently logged in to NFS Underground and Brutal Legend. This is the only game so far that I know won't let me connect, (If it's relevant I could never log into the servers on the Mass Effect 3 demo, but I just thought that I was late to the party and they stopped the bonus DLC offer). The game may be saving my Online Road Rules scores but essentially everything in the EasyDrive menu won't connect. Anyway if my account were invalid none of the said games would've worked either right? (Although I never having to create an EA account for Bad Company). I tried right when I posted last and it worked fine for me. Seen a bunch of people online. I don't think it's EA servers. Don't know if it makes a difference but i'm trying to connect from Australia. skateak
I have no idea then man. That's pretty weird. Do you have an alt account you can try and use? To see if that works?

No alternatives, I can't unlink my EA account, and I don't want to change my PSN. There doesn't seem to be an easy fix. It's start from scratch with new accounts, which is bull. The whole point was to see if my camera would work and therefore work towards the platinum, but I could go online, camera doesn't work, and still end up without the plat. BeautifulTorment
Try connecting to Burnout using an alternate account. I have a friend who can connect on other accounts, but it won't let him connect with his main account. He thinks it has something to do with the Origin account linking because he got it changed at some point. The same is also true for him and Fight Night Rd. 4.... There is no fix for this. Sipkowitz
I'm in a similar boat, I made a new PSN and EA account and surprise, surprise it logged in, unfortunately the camera doesn't appear to work because the trophy won't pop. Just had a crack at EA support and what they tell me is I don't have the entitlement, it would appear as though the accounts didn't link properly for this game. They probably won't fix it. Well thanks to everyone who participated, there isn't much that can be done. I wasn't going to get the platinum anyway seeing as though the camera won't take pictures.. Sipkowitz
Do you have any other EA games to try? That's BS. I would be pissed. The game is a lot of fun online. I could log in to NFS Undercover, however it seemed dead. Bad Company worked (But i don't remember needing an ea account). Brutal Legend is kind of like Undercover dead but I still have access. I am yet to try Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted (If these don't work then I will crack it, (Both Criterion as well)). I won't bother with Mass Effect 3 as: 1. I haven't played 1 let alone 2 2. The MP ties in quite heavily with the main campaign (At least Trophy wise) And I don't think I have any other EA games on the PS3 that have online features, I have Battlefield's on PC not to mention Crysis's (Although the servers got pulled I think). So I can let this one slide, but I sure as hell don't want it happening again, otherwise i'll make them pull my Origin account, and re-create it and re-link it (No guarantee this would work though). PS. They said I was the first case of this happening (Maybe for the one I was talking to), but complete BS, it may be a rare occurrence but i'm sure as hell not the first. Guest
How did it go? No luck. Their service is crap, the dude is more clueless about it than I. It seems to be a extreme technical issue because we checked the account links and email and everything and its fine. And he is able to see the other EA games I play like N4S but it wouldnt register me playing paradise. And no it has nothing to do with my modem or routers. I gave up already. Hopefully I hear that either Origin is closing down and becoming fully EA or something soon?? that it will fix my link issues. But I could care less now, since I have soo many other games to actually finish playing. edit: AND it sucks because its not a very known issue. Maybe only 1% of the paradise players have this issue. But it is out there! I dont think any really found a fix. People just gave up. I personally think it has to do with our PSN names that contain maybe underscores or dashes or stuff like that and their earlier system had issues reqcognizing or converting the PSN to their site accounts. I BET! Edited July 23, 2015 by ERGOPROXY-DECAY
