Sikatiiker
So what do you think? I feel a bit weird for a turn-based sports game but it seems fun. Personally I'd like more this kind of humorous sports games like Super Mega Baseball. I remember playing ice hockey with violent monsters and stuff ages ago but haven't seen too much sports games like this lately. http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/
Willstown
I played the hell out of the 1st one on PC. It's a great game, American football with a mass brawl and different ways to play. Can win by dodging diving and throwing long, or bludgeon your way through the opponent killing half the team. Kishnabe
Trophy list looks fun. Nothing too challenging I'd hope.

Dan_WatsonAU
I remember plying the board game about 15 years ago and remember it being fun but can't remember the rules. Does it matter if you know nothing about American football and have no wish to learn about American football?
ars
Does it matter if you know nothing about American football and have no wish to learn about American football? No, but you do have to learn about Blood Bowl since it is a tactical boardgame. The story campaign that acts as a tutorial isn't too clear on some of the essential basics of the game, like why your players repeatedly get downed/hurt since you don't have Block or Wrestle equipped, how Strength factors in when you go brawl with the opponent, or how important it is to take advantage of Doubles during level up. Skimming through the online manual is adviced (you can browse it through the game), but to really get a grasp on how to play the teams I'd use a dedicated site like http://bbtactics.com/. If you won't learn the basic theory around Blood Bowl you'll repeatedly push yourself (or get pushed by opponent) in situations where you only survive on lucky breaks, situations which are to be avoided due to the Angry RNG God hating everyone's guts. That will leave you frustrated and blaming skewed dice, while that's not the case.
Dan_WatsonAU
I am happy to learn blood bowl I used to table top game years ago which is kind of why I want to play this. I actually bought it yesterday but haven't put it in yet too busy playing Far Cry.
