I was just at 20 hours played, had just finished the final story mission and went to a station, game crashed, opened it up again, just said "Save Corrupted, Starting a new save" everything gone. So disappointing.

But I feel you, 20 hours of gameplay, all gone in a whiff. Do you think this game can be replayed? Does it have that factor?

 

I am yet to try this game, not soon very likely, though. So assuming this becomes an issue for almost everyone, hopefully a patch will be out there to fix the problem by the time I decide to start with this game

It's been an issue on the PC version since last year apparently, so wouldn't hold out hopes for a patch.

I played 98 hours into this game, not a single crash.

I only played a good 20 hours back when I bought this game. No problems on my side. Guess I was lucky?

Be really carefull when you're docking to space stations... If you will crash there your save file will be corrupt. 
If you crash in the middle if flight then there shouldn't be any problems, but be carefull during save points.

 

I don't know if I'm right, but I saw that game likes to crash when you're docking too fast. I mean when you're going to station straight from the warp and the whole station won't even load on time, it's just pop-ups on you. At least mine crashed this way.
