Onrush announced (MotorStorm lives!)

Though I'd create a topic about Onrush since it looks so cool.

After Codemasters employed most of the former Evolution Studios employees after they shut down, I was unsure whether they would all be incorporated into the development of Codemasters' planned future projects (DiRT, F1, etc.) or if they would be a separate team inside Codemasters. And much to my delight (and I'm sure to the delight of many others) it seems that they were put into a separate team, to which their first game was just announced at Paris Games Week.

Here are the basic details:

  • The title of the game is 'Onrush'
  • It is currently set to release Summer 2018 (in Northern hemisphere seasons)
  • The only platform which is confirmed at the moment is PS4
  • It looks a lot like Motorstorm, with it being a fast, arcade racer

I will update these details as new information comes available.

Here is the first trailer from Paris Games Week 2017

Curious to know what everyone thinks. Motorstorm holds a very special place in my heart and I'm happy that MotorStorm RC was not the last one.

Bruh, MotorStorm lives.  Can't wait.  I just hope it would be like the first game because those stages had room.

Hell, at this stage I'd settle for a remaster of Motorstorm 1-3. All great games, if at times a little unbalanced in difficulty.

Onrush does look very similar to Motorstorm, which is a plus in my book. Not massively keen on the urban/icy setting, but the driving itself, and the range of vehicles, all point to a great spiritual successor. Will keep this on my radar.

Just not the glitched shortcuts in PR

I agree. I appreciate the open areas in the first game. There were so many paths you could take.

Now that i think about it, i need to reach level 80 in Apocalypse's multiplayer to unlock everything and "truly" finish it... i only finished the first one and got the Platinum on Apocalypse (cannot obtain it in Pacific Rift as i started playing it long after the servers closure, and i probably miss one trophy in RC)
