Hello Everyone!


My name is Liam and welcome to my one of these things ^_^

So the situation is that, like a lot of these lists I have way too many games that are either incomplete or have never even been started; a situation that I wish to rectify. Frankly, I have an embarrassing amount of games that need to be completed, as of today it has hit 1,000.. Now, with very few completions or platinum trophies to my name this list, for me, is less about showing what I have done and more about motivating me to push forward and be less distracted in my gaming habits.


I'm not going to 100% every game. Servers shut down, achievements and trophies glitch and to be real, I'm kinda garbage at games so there will always be skill levels that I cannot reach. So, the aim is to 100% everything I can and, for the games I can't complete, get as much progress in as possible. I love games on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox, so all will included in this thread. In terms of new games, I can add games through PS plus/ Games with Gold/Humble Bundle, through gifts from friends and family and I am only allowing myself to purchase one digital game only game and one retail game for every 5 completions.

I know the feeling of an unending backlog!

If I were you, once done with overwatch and rogue galaxy, I'd finish FFX, Great game and very do-able plat.

If I wanted to challenge myself, I'd do Ducktales. Reason being, it's a very worthy 100% and the difficulties don't stack. So you start on easy, then medium and then hard.

You familiarise yourself with the game and you come away with a nice, rare 100%. It should prove to you that you can tackle more difficult games with patience and practice :)

@kraven_15 @Dessane Thanks for the supportive words! My saving grace is that there are quite a few easy plats, will still take forever though :D. Needing something to focus on and seeing that all of my consoles hard drives are nearly full I have decided that I will get to work platting/100%ing everything I currently have installed; it's a start ^_^

I completely understand the feeling man. Just a couple of tips. Don't make it a job because playing video games will stop being fun if you do. Be realistic, you will never be able to finish all of them so focus on what you would really like to play and the essential/most critically acclaimed games first. Focus on one or two games at a time. Have fun and good luck. One more thing, STOP BUYING NEW VIDEO GAMES.

Haven't really decided yet, I've got quite a few walking simulators downloaded so it's either knock those out for a few easy(but boring) completions or tackle one of the big ones; Persona 4 Golden.

Haha yeah I am going to stop buying games for a while methinks, I'll try and beat 50 games before I even think about new ones.  yeah never going to beat them all, a fun little challenge though ^_^

Wow and I thought my backlog was big :o:D! Good luck with all of your goals and I hope you manage to achieve them! You have some great games in your list but you definitely have to play State of Decay as it will literally take over your life as you will just not want to put it down! It is so good and fun! :P 

 

I really like your thoughts on completing the whole game and not getting to frustrated with 100% every game if your not confident in doing so and/or don't want to! That's something I'm trying to adopt this year as I find I don't enjoy the games as much if I get angry/frustrated with it.
