It's the one trophy nobody has yet, even outside of PSNP...

 

There's a stand with lots of pink goodies, which might have something to do with it. Are there any real flamingo's in the level? I've only played it once and didn't notice them at least.

I tried getting this to trigger all night. Here's what I've experimented with in Miami so far:

  • Completed Miami in Casual and Professional mode with the mascot outfit + helicopter exit location. Spoilers tagged for the easter egg here - After seeing this I honestly was certain this was it, but the search continued:

    When the player reaches the rooftop with this outfit, instead of a helicopter there's a nest with two eggs. Using this exit with the outfit results in 47 flapping his wings and flying away. I tried sitting on the eggs to incubate them! Haha. Shooting them or detonating them with explosives doesn't work. I've tried exiting using both the green and blue mascot outfit.

     

  • Interacted with the flamingo mascot stall in both the blue and green mascot outfit. If you wait long enough here a mascot will roll on by and dance in front of it. There was no obvious interaction with them or the stall itself. You can't get behind it, and shooting every element of the stall with explosives or bullets didn't work either. No use prompts.
  • Messed around with the flamingo mural in the bayside tunnel. There are 4 panels here, the outermost two are covered with flamingos, the inner two have billboard ads bolted over there, but looking underneath you can see there's no art. No weapons worked here. I tried detonating the remote explosive attached to Knox's car when it was over the tunnel but no dice. There are stickers here which read 'freedom of choice' that I couldn't find anywhere else. Associated freedom with 'Release... the pink army' but probably not it.
  • I attended the Knox blackmail sequence also dressed as a mascot (not interfering until he was held over the garbage chute) in the hope that we could escape together into the sewers. The dude instead runs off to the guard escort letting them know there's a mean man there that saved his life. No gratitude these days.
  • Visited the demo unit in the showroom wearing both mascot outfits, listening to all the nice flamingo facts. Wear enough guns and it'll say you look like a terrorist on the first prompt and not repeat it, but I think this happens no matter the outfit.
  • Ran around and shot or threw things at the various flamingo mascot billboards, signs and flags throughout the level. There are a million of these everywhere, and I didn't find any that could be interacted with or reacted to me at all.
  • Tried breaking into the Flamingo logo vans and their boxes parked near the starting location. Same as above.
  • Threw the starfish back into the ocean. I mean it's kinda pink?
  • Tried returning the stolen mascot suit back to the jumped dude in the car park. He's not interested if you're wearing any mascot outfit and will be an enforcer. Pulling the thiefs body towards him results in expected panic.
  • I shot a lot of pink things. There's a ton of pink-shirted tourists, and random objects assorted throughout the level. Pretty sure this is a flamingo related achievement though.

    There's probably more I'm missing, but this is what I remember having tried for now. I *really* expected that the first option is the correct trigger, but could be bugged? It's odd that such a detailed easter egg (an exit with unique animations and assets) isn't otherwise acknowledged by the game with a challenge or feat. For now I've ruled it out, unless there's another trigger you need to satisfy.

    I want to know what others have tried! I want to crack this and hope it's genuinely a well kept secret and not a bug.

@Andy-Kun your persistence is impressive.

 

That first one sounds hilarious. If there's no challenge for that, then there should be. Exiting like that isn't really army-like though, so I expect it to be something else.

 

Servers are still down for maintenance so I can't check the challenges at this time. There's a couple of ideas I have I'd like to try.

@Agent 47 I was single-minded in trying to get this to pop indeed!

Agreed on both counts here, definitely felt like it would be the thing you'd unlock a challenge for, but it's also not much of an army unless you could... hatch the eggs? Seems a bit ridiculous but that whole thing exists to begin with so who knows!

I also tried letting Florida Man open his coconut food stall (you can do this normally by giving him sugar dressed as a food vendor) but lacing the food with cocaine instead (found on the dealer speaking to the Sheik in the Thwack lounge). The line of thinking here would be getting Knox on a drug-high could have him do something interesting with the robots. If you listen to his dialogue on the pier, you'll know he already has grand delusions.

All that happens however is Florida Man takes it himself and runs around acting like a damn fool, high on cocaine. Amusing but no trophy.

Good luck in the search, let us know what you rule out!

I don't have the game yet but I would like to share my ideas if you want to try them here it goes:

 

-Knock out every guy dressing in the flamingo suit with a fish

-Knock out every flamingo guy and drag them to the ocean

-Kill every flamingo guy with an accident kill

-Try using the sniper rifle to see if you spot anything in the horizon, it can be like that trophy from Sapienza where you had to shoot every bell from a boat or like a challenge in Bangcock where you had to shoot a barrel located in the horizon after killing a guy (I don't remember who it was, he worked for the music studio)

-If there is any small flamingo object in the map (like the small golden ellefants from Bangcock) shoot them all and go back to the start of the level

 

 

Hope it helps, if you try them please tell if they worked or not

@maiathewinners I've scanned the horizon at several vantage points with the rifle, from the bay overlook and the field marshal stands, plus looking over a few of the gated off areas you can see on top of the hotel (like inside the parking garage). No luck there yet. There are many flamingo items in the map and I've tried shooting lots of them (merchandise stand for example, the air-horns, t-shirts etc. do not react in the same way as the elephants when shot).

I've started to keep a more full list of all the kills and locations I've taken the mascots, will update with that later.

I just noticed, normally there is a trophy kill related and a trophy related to a easter egg. This is the easter egg trophy since people already got the kill the target in certain way trophy.

 

If this is a easter egg trophy it can be anything. Aren't there 2 giant flamingo statues next to the ocean (I think I saw it on a playthrough), it might be related to that

I've ran through the level on casual and shot near enough every single flamingo picture and item. I even shot every window and letter of the Flamingo Hotel to try and 'raise' (wake) any people inside. 

 

Experimented a lot trying to reperform some actions with the mascots while wearing Ted's military fatigues as well, since a general is likely to raise an army. Nothing yet.

 

Hell, I even briefly considered if the joint you get from the girls in the racer's lounge bathroom would play into it. (Red/Pink eyes, there's large, unique grafitti about smoking in the parking garage tunnel under the conference centre)

 

I'm running low on ideas, going to keep scanning every pixel of the map with the sniper rifle...

Did anyone tried to stand in this eggs until they crack? I think this is it since you would be "releasing" the Pink army

Edit: I can't make a new post for some reason, but to answer the below - I left the game idle there while I made dinner for about 25 minutes. You have to be in the mascots outfit, as that exit easter egg only appears when you do, otherwise it's a helicopter. Didnt find any other eggs in the level, most exotic things are coconuts and apricots from the fruit bowl in the Knox conference building upstairs.

Crouch in them with the flamingo suit or the general suit and let 47 stay there for a good amount of time (10-20) minutes, this will heat the eggs and something will come out of them (I feel so stupid writing this ). There can be more eggs hidden around the map and you have to place them all in the nest

'Release the Pink Army' Solution!

  • First things first - set yourself to casual difficulty. This one's messy and you're going to throw stealth out the window.
  • Start with the 'Mascot Outfit - Stands' for appropriate flamingo themed shenanigans. You need to wear the mascot outfit and this is the easiest way!
  • Onto the trophy - First, head towards the souvenir stands. Ignore the shiny flamingo one, it's a red herring! Instead go to the 'Thwack' stand and pick up the picture of a Flamingo on the table.
  • Picture in hand, find yourself a Flamingo Mascot to kidnap. You can either choose the one that roams the Miami stands or the blackmailer that wants to put Knox in a world of hurt. Would recommend the blackmail flamingo for speed and proximity to where we're going, which is the Miami Bayside Center Expo.
  • Make sure you only knock them out, as we'll need them alive for now.
  • Unless you want to be particularly sneaky, shoot down all opposition and drag our unconscious feathered friend to the front door of the building.
  • Take a right and drag him upstairs, you're heading towards the PALLAS test-fire room.
  • Once inside, drag the unconscious mascot in the firing line of the PALLAS AI.
  • Scan the flamingo photo you picked up from the stand earlier!
  • Watch as AI attacks our helpless friend and then... amazing things happen.

    Congratulations, the trophy is yours! Go get it and enjoy hunting in Miami!
