Trophy thoughts?

You have a choice either to backstab him or just tell him that you are with the Board(deceive them with Phineas help), and then you can play as double agent until the very end.

But yeah, you won't get any because they are both Board related. They either commend you on your action and five you a trophy, or they will send you on a additional quest and give a trophy after.

Exactly, you have to either "play ball" with the Board very early in the game, or else you are completely screwed with the trophies.  I probably won't even bother with the Platinum now, Obsidian has pissed me off so much with these BS trophies.

You can earn the two trophies basically right up until the decision you make before the point of no return.  You can't lock yourself out of them short of killing the main board related characters.

You can also sprint through the story in 3 hours, it's not the slightest bit comparable to missing something in W3 or RDR.

By siding with the board do you mean cutting the power for the runaways? Because that's the part I'm just coming to.

No.

After getting the platinum and given some thought about the game in general and the trophy list. I want to say that the game itself is a treat for good old RPG lovers, that is, sadly, not a common thing to release this data. At least not in AAA(or close to them) department. While also being something kinda original and not a pandering to 90's games like Pillars of Eternity and such.
While being generally good it falls short in almost every aspect. Yes, there are almost zero fetch quests and such, but the quests itself are mostly end abruptly or without any satisfying conclusion. I am looking at you studio quest, cannibal quest and so on. It's like a blueprint for something cool but there wasn't enough resources to make it cool.
Comparing it to, for example, quest about a son that went missing in a casino hotel in Fallout New Vegas, you can say that that single quest is deeper and much better developed and thought out than the entirety of Outer Worlds story line.

Supernova difficulty should just be an optional flag that you can turn on and get all of the survival mechanics. Other than that it solely exists to provide some strange inconveniences. Why can you sleep only in your own bed on ship? I haven't slept in the entirety of my casual walkthrough because there no need to. And when you actually need to; all the beds but one are totally useless. Genius. After the beginning you get quite a bit stronger and the difficulty turns into "oh, my companion randomly for - time to replay last 10 minutes!"

Trophies require you to go out of the way and can lead to additional unnecessary playthroughs, while the game itself doesn't provide much replayability. Most of it is a kind of "one-trick pony" stuff, that fools you into thinking there is depth and the second playthrough would be fun, but it turns out to be not nearly diverse enough to make a difference. Basically, if you already did all of the quests on first playthrough you probably won't find anything really new and different.

Tl;dr: a good game, which could be much better. Trophies are mostly lame, but the game is short, so it shouldn't take much time to replay and get something. Especially if you constantly save in a new slot.

I'm not a big fan of difficulty trophies in general but I'll do a few playthroughs of this game at least. Almost finished with my first normal one where I just play for fun while keeping just a couple of trophies in mind

My second one will probably be joining the board and getting all the kill/quest trophies I have yet not gotten, which means replaying a fairly significant portion of the early game to get both "Mightier than the Sword" and "Ludwig was Right" but I'll deal with that. this will also be my dumb playthrough so I can pick up the Sunburn trophy.

Third one will be for Supernova which will be a fast run. Not exactly a speedrun since I don't really care for those but more like I just want to get that playthrough over with.

Final one will be a kill everything run where I do just that, try to kill everyone and everything. This will be done later if I have the energy for it and when I just wanna play the game for fun.

it's possibile steal the safe in Gladys Office?

This is a little late but yes it is. Basically you walk up to the safe go to the left of it and crouch facing the corner of it and the wall, then slow time and pick the lock and immediately take out what you need before the slow time runs up. First time I did it Gladys stopped me and asked what I was doing and I used to the speech check to get her to turn back around and then grabbed it while her back was too me. But the second time on a different save I grabbed the item and she just stood up then sat back down.

Ahhh.... For some reason I saw Nov 1st on your original question and thought of it as Dec 1st so I thought I was only a few days late not over a month haha. Congrats on the plat! I only have my Supernova speedrun through it left so I will have it too soon! Sorry I didn't end up helping and good luck with all your future trophy hunting!

With the DLCs included, my final playtime was over 61 hours. However, I'd guess that subtracting around 15 hours should provide a fairly accurate estimate for the platinum alone (46-ish). Admittedly, I kind of took my sweet time with this one. While I didn't complete every last side questit seemed pointless to do so, since I had reached the level cap long before the content was exhaustedI did listen to all the amusing dialogue, and explored for loot way more than necessary. Don't know what it is about games like these, but I'm always compelled to steal everything that isn't nailed down. ? To avoid missables, I followed this walkthrough, supplemented with the DLC guides on here. Worked out well overall.

I briefly debated with myself regarding the challenge level, but settled on 3/10. Outer Worlds is honestly a breeze on the default difficulty setting, to the point where concerning yourself with optimized equipment or builds is entirely unnecessary. Heck, your companions will do most of the work in battles, if you let them. I started progressing on the various combat trophies from the very beginning, so they basically all unlocked naturally by the time I was finished with Monarch; didn't need to farm anything. A Dead-Eye Assault Rifle II with plasma damage mod installed was my primary weapon of choice, but the Spectrum Gatling found in Murder on Eridanos is also insanely strong, not to mention an easy method of earning the "Elemental Maelstrom" trophy.

The only significant snag I encountered was robbing the safe to obtain Udom's seal on Groundbreaker, during my Supernova speedrun. I couldn't quite manage to pull it off without aggroing the whole station, so I ultimately had no choice but to blow Gladys and her bodyguards away with a Bolter Pistol I picked up somewhere. That solution required several attempts as well, because they destroy you with shocking speed. The key was to run in and out of the room while blasting them, affording a breather for healing. Remainder of the playthrough was smooth sailing, though; amazing how short the game can be with those tricks!
