That's not the point

 

Cheating takes all the fun out of it and turns this into a common plat that can be achieved in an hour or less and I'd rather not stain my profile with that garbage even if done legit

it is there and cannot be changed. then just play it without cheats ...

I just got the fastest completion time for this game using a turbo controller. Using the cheat in the OP, I turbo'd R1 and manually pressed R2 to earn gems for the last 3 upgrades. My final trophy was for killing flying enemies, so I used the Oni map (Samurai).
