Is the PS3 guide valid on the PS4 version?

Recommended Posts

No. The PS4 version of each game has a drastically different list when compared to the PS3 originals so the PS3 Guides are mostly useless for the PS4 releases in that regard. There have also been some gameplay tweaks so that puts another nail in the usefulness of the older Guides.

Gotta disagree with above. The trophy list and game itself has been altered, but its still the same game.

You can definitely follow the ps3 guide for the completionist trophy (most time consuming in the game). Most trophies are straightforward so Im assuming thats what youre looking for anyway.

Roadmap should be ignored though, Ive got no idea how many playthroughs itd take to plat, or how Insanity difficulty works with the rebalanced scaling (Im assuming you dont need 3+ full runs anymore). Youre gonna need atleast 2 runs for the powers (biotic/engineer)

It has been confirmed that commanding your allies to use these abilities count for the trophies.  If they use them it doesn't count.  You need to bring up the menu and command then to be used.

For the most part yes, after looking through both lists the majority of the trophies are the same with upgrading some trophies from bronze and silver to silver and gold (Completionist went Silver -> gold etc) and the removal of "get x kills with y weapon" trophies.

Renegade and Paragon bronze trophies from the PS3 version were combined into Principled which is gold.

All the new trophies seem pretty easy and look to be earned naturally as you progress the story or going for Completionist.

Also, disregard the roadmap. The biggest change between the ps3 version and the ps4 version is that I've heard you can play on Insanity from the very beginning so one full playthrough is all you need. An extra part of a playthrough for the engineer/biotic, although it seems commanding a squadmate to do one of these actions counts, I think it would be easy and less tedious to just do it yourself.
