Throw Mastery trophy

Do I need to have a target to get the trophy when I use the skill? Because "Sabotage Specialist" unlocked it for me even without targets, but "Throw Mastery" does not unlock it for me.

Try the transit stations in the Citadel. I never used them to unlock trophies myself, but guides for the old game always said to use them. A lot of weird shit from the old game still works. If it'll work on a non-enemy it's probably those. The skill use trophies have been reworked , so if there's an old exploit that will no longer work it's probably tied to those. I'd just put Kaiden and Liara in you party for a combat mission and spam on enemies.

I have tried in the transit stations in the Citadel, but it does not unlock the trophy for me.

Do I have to target the people on the citadel to do this? Because even if I aim at them, the ability doesn't have any effect on them.

If you don't want to get it in combat the next two things I'd try would be squadmates or the Mako.

What I don't understand is how I have to do to unlock it on the citadel.

What is Mako, I just started the game and don't know what it is?

You might not be able to anymore. That's the thing. In the PS3/360 version you could, but the trophies have changed. I earned it in combat very quickly. The number of uses in this version for the unlock is so small there's no point in using an exploit to unlock them unless you've painted yourself into a very specific corner. Just use Kaiden and Liara as your party and spam the move.

I just got this trophy by doing the terminal trick.

I can confirm that every skill trophy except for the AI Hacking and the Neural Shock can be unlocked by targeting the Rapid Transit Terminal on the Citadel. 

Neural Shock can be used on the Mako and AI Hacking is the only skill that needs to be used on enemies.

People use these tricks to ensure they get the trophies and can then play the game the way they want to without worrying about spamming certain skills.
