In-game Cheats = Cheater?

9 posts in this topic

I have seen polls covering things from hacking to turbo controllers and glitching but never this. Would using the in-game cheats classify me as a cheater?  I was reading the trophy guide on ps3trophies.org and it seemed that a grand majority of the trophies could easily be unlocked with cheats. Its tempting and seems like it would make gameplay interesting having all the characters, but I was worried I would be flagged. Does anyone know if you can get flagged for this?

No.  So long as you don't have to do any modding/hacking outside of the game, it isn't cheating, it's cheating to you as it is cheats but they are programmed into the game so they are fine to use.

No man you wouldn't be flagged for that. Plus that is how almost all those lego games are beat anyways by anyone is using those cheat codes.

No, if it's in-game it's fair game, as long as there's no hacking involved, like using a Codebreaker for PS2.

As everyone else said, no it is not cheating for this game.  Usually for all of the Lego games the cheats won't disable your trophies; therefore fair game.

Invisibility is the only cheat which disables "The force is with you" but the regenerate hearts cheat can be used if struggling.

I use the 2x 4x 6x 8x 10x multipliers most of the time whenever I can. Most of the new Legos dont even have cheat codes for all the multipliers but just 2x. Without mutipliers... collecting that many coins sucks. lol
