damon8r351
I could've sworn I saw a topic on this earlier, but I can't find it now. But... So, it seems like the trophy rarity for DLCs on a bunch of PS3 games just tanked into ultra rare territory sometime today. I started out with 18 ultra rare trophies today, and ended up with 57 somehow through no effort of my own. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just wondering if there's a change in how these things are calculated or it's a glitch. The games in question on my profile are L.A. Noire, Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Red Dead Redemption, and Assassin's Creed IV (on the PS3 but not the PS4 strangely enough). Rick_Sanchez
something is up, I remember having about 370ish ultra rare trophies and now I'm 1 away from
Gamenamebully
Same thing happened to me but with Littlebigplanet 2, Metal Gear Rising, and Modnation Racers. I think the site might be having a glitch or something because I remember all those being very common.
McJacs2
ALL of the Uncharted 3 DLC trophies are now Ultra Rare, but in my trophy cabinet, they aren't recognized as my rarest trophies.
Mog
I was wondering that! I saw my profile and all of the sudden those Uncharted 3 DLC trophies are now my rarest trophies, it felt weird seeing those as uncommon and rare, some of those are definitely worth being ultra rare, hopefully it is not a glitch. BeautifulTorment
Sly is in the process of changing some DLC stuff around. Seemingly it has temporarily reverted to the older, more correct way of dealing with trophy rarities for some lists. It won't last long though..

silverstag88
I believe the old way to calculate rarity was based on everyone who owned the game while it's now based on just the dlc owners?

SleeppingForest
but the true rates for the trophies are on the sony app here just with the people that are on this website how sony does it well i think it's from everyone around the world that has that trophy

Sony's are the most accurate for sure. But i'd still like to compare myself to other like minded people not just people that play the game 1 time then move on to the next game.
Doom
I believe the old way to calculate rarity was based on everyone who owned the game while it's now based on just the dlc owners? It's based on how many people actually got at least 1 trophy in a given DLC. QuantumMercury
Sony app isn't a real accurate representation of trophy rarity. The way PSNP rates DLC trophies based on DLC owners is more accurate than total owners of the game IMO.

damon8r351
https://psnprofiles.com/forums/topic/13490-main-game-dlc-trophies-not-seperate/ So I guess this issue is related to that issue. Good to know I guess? Don't read that thread for too long in a single sitting, it'll make your head hurt.
