I heard that the platinum is impossible to get on the PS4 because you need to have the Legacy edition for some trophies, and I have the Bedrock edition which I downloaded from the PSN store. I saw a video saying how to get the trick by changing Editions but my digital copy doesn't have the option to change editions. Did I shoot my account in the heart by starting up Minecraft? :(

Realms are open 24 Hours You can get all the trophies Expansion packs 1 to 16 The Wild Update Part Set 2 (You cant get the mini games trophies which are ex 2 and 5 they are the old version of the game - video https://youtu.be/LsAO-V6Iml8)
(Can Join on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile, Switch, Kindle Fire)
How To Join link Your Microsoft account to your Minecraft account then go to play and press join realm and Type the code ""

Platinum takes 33.2 hours because of one afk trophy for plat but apart from that one trophy it could take about 2 to 5 hours
Total Trophies 125 (1 Platinum Trophy) sadly two afk trophies for ex which take 20 Mins sleeping with the fishes and then 1 Hour
This can also be done on xbox and mobile and switch but you probably don't care about that

The way this world works is there are command blocks to give you items, kill enemies and tp you to different places and different dimensions which will unlock the requirements for the trophies if you really wanted to you could make your own trophy world on the latest patch search up creative glitch on YouTube

(On my realm you will get 5 trophies immediately without doing anything while loading
There will be two buttons press the left one for a bunch of fast trophies in 4 mins without you even pressing anything or moving 31 Trophies
And the right button is just all the trophies in order)
(On Fill_Fill realm you will get 18 trophies when joining the realm without pressing anything)

(On my Realm if you stuck anywhere in your inventory there is a ender pearl throw it and you will be unstuck (maybe multiple))

hi @CookiestMonsterr thanks for the above.. can you or anyone else explain how to get into the realms like I’m a 2 year old? Where do I input the codes? Is it on minecraft?

I thought I might give it a go at some point. Sorry I’ve never used anything like it before.

Not too sure you would want to be taking advice from a well known cheater, especially considering people have been removed from the leader boards from using public save files.

If you ask this dude nicely you could even use his save files.

@Bloke thanks for the heads up! I didn’t know using a realm was cheating. I thought it was a little land where nice people helped you get trophies? See.. clueless.

If I use someone’s save files isn’t that cheating? Confused.

I don’t want to play minecraft. My daughter started it on my profile ?

If that person hosting a realm or a world has used nefarious means to create it to autopop trophies for others, those people who used it are culpable as well. I'm sure if you dig through the disputes thread, Cookiest has a few specifically for minecraft, all to do with public save file usage and CFW.

If you just want to unlock trophies there is a glitch which allows you to use command blocks to trick creative mode so you can just create items or mobs without having the challenge. It's not that difficult to do either. 100% excluding multiplayer and 100 days trophy might take you 10-20 hours of actual gameplay with the glitch.

@Bloke thanks for the info.. that may be a better way to do it I don’t want to get in trouble. I don’t really understand either method but would prefer the safer one.

I read the thread and it sounded as if they said what he made was allowed.. but then they said he’s off the leaderboards.

I’ll look into the block method, hopefully there will be YouTube tutorials because I suck understanding written instructions.

The good news is my daughter got the play 100 days trophy I just checked. That one sounded tedious.

This one has how to get trophies in creative mode. You can switch between the modes using Command Blocks, which some trophies will require survival mode. I had a go at this glitch maybe 4 months ago and it worked on my alt account. If you have a keyboard it will make inputting commands a lot easier as well.

I've already made videos explaining how the realm works but I do make my save files public which people do not like think of that as you will

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can to join these realms without being removed from the site leaderbords? There are several trophies that would become much easier using the realms but I would rather avoid being removed from the leaderboards, clearly being able to join other players' realms and still be able to earn trophies is part of the game but obviously I have no idea how the realms in question are created, I guess I could also be seen as equal to someone who uses mods or things of that nature if those realms were created in ways like that, essentially I just want to understand if I can use the realms for trophies without problems or not, and possibly I would also like some suggestions on which realms I should use

It seems complicated but it isn't that complicated once you get it explained properly.

What you need to understand is that Minecraft isn't simply Minecraft. Minecraft exists in many different versions or editions.

"Minecraft Java Edition" (formerly known as just "Minecraft") is the original version of the game for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Minecraft on Consoles was generally called "Console Edition" but every version for every platform had its own name, which basically said on which platform it was on. There was "Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition", "Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition", "Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition"... you get the gist. I think there were six or seven "Console Editions". They were a bit different from the "Java" versions of the game in that they had a simplified crafting system, were usually one or two content updates behind the PC version, and had some other technological differences.

There was also the "Pocket Edition" for mobiles. There was also a separate "Windows 10 Edition"... in short: there were many Editions ;) That's why the community (and the trophy descriptions) refer to them simply as "Editions".

Now at some point, they decided to do a thing called the "Better Together" update. The aim was to merge multiple platforms under a single version of Minecraft and add cross-platform compatibility.

On most versions, like "Pocket Edition" or "Windows 10 Edition", the "Better Together" update was just that - an update. But it was released as a separate version of Minecraft for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, known in the community as the "Bedrock Edition" since it runs on the "Bedrock" engine.

For PlayStation 4 players (and PS5 players as well because so far, you can only play the PS4 version on PS5, there is no native PS5 version yet), it means that there exist two versions of Minecraft for PS4. The old "Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition", simply called "Editions" and the new "Minecraft", which we will refer to as "Bedrock".

So far, so clear?

Now, what does that mean for the trophies?

Well, the majority of the trophies (there are actually two trophy lists now since Minecraft got so many expansions that one list isn't enough anymore) are obtainable without any issues.

This means you can get a huge amount of trophies by playing Minecraft. If trophy count is what matters to you and not the completion rate, it is absolutely worth it. Especially if you consider that at some point there might be a native PS5 version coming (idk if anything like that has been announced yet, it's entirely possible that it won't happen since Minecraft is now owned by Microsoft. But then again, their cross-platform support so far has been exemplary) which could have Auto-Pop... and also, since the game is simply good if you like that kinda game.

But there are some trophies where the description says "Editions only" (I think they are all Multiplayer trophies btw)

To get those you need to play "Editions", not "Bedrock".

The thing is, on PlayStation 4, both versions are part of a single piece of software. So there is a button is available on the main menu to toggle between editions.
Sounds easy, right? PS4 owners simply own both versions and can switch between them.
Well not quite...

I personally have Minecraft digitally and in the main menu I can switch around between the old "Edition" and the new "Bedrock". But I own the game more or less since release,

The issue is that AFAIK this switching between versions is only available for people who had the game digitally before "Bedrock" came out. (December 2019)
That's why people in this thread say if you don't own it yet, you will need to find a physical copy of the old version because when you buy digitally, it will be (apparently because I cannot test it myself) "Bedrock" only.

So, in summary:

If you own Minecraft PS4 digitally and you owned it before Bedrock came out, you have both "Editions" and "Bedrock" and can switch between them, so technically every trophy is achievable.

If you own Minecraft PS4 digitally but bought it after the Bedrock release, it seems that you cannot switch anymore, so you cannot get every trophy.

If you have a physical release of Minecraft, and it s the pre-Bedrock edition, the game will update but provide a button for switching, so you also own both versions then, all trophies are achievable.

If you have a more recent physical release, it is already Bedrock and you cannot switch, so not every trophy is achievable.

What to look for if you want to buy it physically.

This is the cover of the old "Edition" that should net you access to both versions

Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition: playstation_4: Video Games - Amazon.ca

The new cover looks like this and this is "Bedrock" only

Buy PS4 Minecraft Starter Collection (PS4) Online at Low Prices in India | Sony Video Games - Amazon.in

All that being said: Minecraft has currently 138 obtainable trophies and of those 138, only 13 are "Editions" only. So less than a tenth. You will also get the Platinum as the unobtainable ones are DLC trophies.
Again, if you are looking to add a lot of trophies (and a Plat) to your profile and aren't looking for completion, you are getting a lot of value here.  Especially if you like the game, because you will then play for hundreds of hours probably so you will not only get a lot of trophies, you will also have a great time. If you value completion, you can get 100% theoretically, but only if you buy the old retail version (unless you already own the game digitally and bought it before December 2019. But I don't even think that is good enough, I think you also need to have played it at least once before Dec 2019)

But even if you don't like the game, you could theoretically, like others already told you, connect to someone else's Minecraft World and enter a so-called "Trophy World". Those are worlds that people built that are made for easy unlocking of trophies by giving you the required tools or items, putting you in the necessary circumstances, and so on. Theoretically, you can unlock dozens and dozens of trophies in an hour or so.

For example the trophy "The End?" requires you to enter an End Portal. Now building an End Portal in Minecraft isn't necessarily hard, but it can be quite time-consuming. However, if you enter someone's world who already has built an Enderportal, you simply enter their portal and the trophy unlocks. That is, in short, how these trophy worlds work.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

So i bought minecraft didgitally after the switch to bedrock meaning i dont have access to editions. If i were to go ut and buy a secind hand copy of the playstation 4 minecraft (the one before the switch that has access to editions) would i then be able to put that in my ps and get access to editions as well as regualr minecraft?

I think the best bet would be to see if you can borrow PS4 edition and then create a save file in there. Having an old save file makes the game keep the editions button even after the update (this is how I still have the editions button despite being fully updated). Just don't update that save file by opening it in Bedrock.

The way I did it was I reset my ps4 made a new psn account made a world on the disk version before updating it, after it was done updating I went into the editions section then logged into my main account using the second controller

Hi everyone. It is September 25th, 2023, and I purchased Minecraft digitally yesterday. I just want to give people a bit of hope regarding the "Editions" issue people seem to be having and let people know it is absolutely possible to get the button back. There are many step-by-step solutions you can find online, but I want to provide my steps because they are slightly different than what I've read around.

You will need the old 2013-2014 physical version for this to work, otherwise it's impossible. The cover is Steve in a cave wearing diamond armour (it must be this one). They are not difficult to come across. I also believe you need a second controller as I'm not sure if changing profiles while the game is open closes it. Before following these steps, make sure the disc is not inserted.

  1. Backup anything you want on your console to cloud or a USB drive.
  2. Factory reset your PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5. As much as it sucks that I had to do this, it is an important step I believe led to it working. Deleting profiles and deactivating the console as the primary one did not work for me.
  3. When prompted to create a profile, you must create one with a registered email address. Do not skip this step and use "User1" provided. It will not work.
  4. Disconnect your PlayStation from the internet.
  5. Insert the disc, and launch the game.
  6. Create a world and walk around for a few minutes and allow new chunks to load in.
  7. Save and quit to the main menu, but do not close the game.
  8. Connect your console to the internet and let the game update.
  9. Once the update has downloaded, disconnect your PlayStation from the internet.
  10. Install the update. The game will not close and instead display a message reading "Installing Update File...".

It is at this point that I then had the "Editions" button. It disappeared after I closed the game, so I actually had to factory reset my PlayStation twice throughout this process as I could not get it to reappear without doing so. I highly suggest getting all DLC 2 and 5 trophies in one sitting. To get the trophies on your main profile, connect the second controller and add it as a new profile. Throughout this process, Minecraft will not fully close, and selecting the main profile will allow the use of the "Editions" button on the main profile.

Sorry to add another reply with yet another set of instructions, but I tried almost everything I found on this forum and otherwise online. Nothing worked for me except the abovementioned and I really hope it helps somebody. I didn't actually know about this "Editions" issue until after I'd purchased the game digitally.

I played this game on PS4 back in 2015 and pretty much written it off until now. Still have my saves. On PS5 and PS4.

Do you or anyone else know what the best course of action for me currently is? I bought the digital version and I wanna go for Platinum AND a 100%.

Edit: reading through this thread and doing some research, it seems I should be in the clear... But then again, some have stated that their editions button disappeared - am I, as a 2015-owner, subject to this issue? I really would like to avoid deleting any saves. And I would much prefer to play on PS5.
