Han_the_Dragon
8 hours ago, Breakingthegreen said: I'll go through your questions one by one, You can play 5 games per category, each worth one point, but you only need to complete one game to get that section to be considered as a contributor. Two contributors in a category and then I''ll ad five quid to the prize pot. So for the 8th Doctor you can play 5 games, but this is true of all the Doctor's (It's just substantially easier for the 8th. And hence why the points per player is halved, The maximum you could contribute is 2.5 points for that one category, and 5 points for any other category. 8th Doctor is Marked "Priority", which means that if a game can fit in that category, it can only go in that category, (just so you can't cheese that other ones.) This is only the case with the 8th Doctor After a bunch of Googling, It seems that only Chrono Trigger had time travel. So unfortunatly no. Yeah, Puzzle Platformers are fine for it. Ok, I was under the wrong impression then. Then I will get the 5 easy for 8th Doctor and think about what I will do about the other one, since while I named Vessel, that something that I don't feel like playing.. Well, I also have 1 Steins;Gate (Elite) on my backlog, so, I may as well use that one, since I know that there's time travel in Steins;Gate 😆, just don't know how long it will take me, since I don't read skip.. Still, I will wait a few more days until I commit to any one category..

Popular Post VersusCA
I have finished my first entry Winter Sports 2010. I will be submitting it in the Fifth Doctor category. This game had positive and negative attributes imo. On the bright side, it only took me about 6.5 hours to get the platinum, and there was no online or anything overly difficult. On the downside, it's sort of mid and deeply ugly. The figure skating mini-game in particular was a lowlight, as it is just an extended quick-time event that runs far too long. Basically a worse version of Vancouver 2010 in every way except that game did require online. My next goal will be to finish up Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for the Fourth Doctor category. Ultimately I do want to achieve the maximum of five platinums in both categories but I am not too sure what games I can/will use yet!
Popular Post BlackSquirrell1
Doctor 11: Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Done! This is the second game in the series and I will have to admit that I played True Colors before starting this game, and I've never played the first game. Guess I have a tendency to work backwards. 😄 Not a long game, I believe it took me somewhere around 2 days to complete it, and besides the storyline, you are on the hunt for places to tag, or decorate with graffiti. Story was interesting but I actually really enjoyed True Colors more - had a good storyline and quite a bit of interaction with each character. Also liked the graphics and puzzles in True Colors.
Popular Post GT__Jedi
Ah, first game complete! Grid Legends (Base) Submitted for Doctor #3: Race game I wish I could give this game a glowing review, but some issues just made it a pain to play. First, the lag. Half the time the steering would not respond for a couple of seconds, and then it was a 180 spin in which every other car hit you. Braking was the same problem. When the wheels did turn, on some vehicles you had a 10% radius, which made it impossible to even turn around on the track. You have very limited options to tune your car, so using slick tires in rain, ice, snow and sleet was normal. I only noticed a little bit of grip on the open wheel cars. I played on Expert and Hard, and took it down in difficulty when the weather or handling of the car was just unplayable. Looking at some Pros for the game was that there were some nice cars to drive and put in your garage, the stadium trucks with the jumps and the EV with the boost gates. Liked that you could design custom races and play with others. Story mode was a nice way to start the game. There weren't any license tests or challenges, so I missed that from GT5. There was a variety of tracks and races that were enjoyable to use, and the career mode was fun. Overall, I guess there were more pros than cons, and I suppose if I really wanted to continue with the game I could always pick up the (4) DLCs @ $10 apiece (which is a bit high).

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again, I've got my first game of this event completed, it's to go in the Thirteenth Doctor's category, it's the newly re-released Medievil Resurrection (PS4) First thing to establish before I do a little review, which Doctor Who actor is in the, well exclusive to this version is a lot more voice acting, and one of the characters given a voice was Death, or the Boat Man as he's otherwise known, and he is played by the one and only Tom Baker, known for playing the Fourth Doctor. He is one of the warmest voice actors in the game, so it was a joy when he narrated the rest of the game in it's loading screens. Now time to review the game itself: As mentioned, this game is a re-imagining of the original PS1 game, as opposed to the PS4 remake which (as far as I'm aware) is a one to one remake. I have only played said remake but I feel qualified to say that this re-imaging was a lot worse that the original. Some of the levels felt the same or similar to ones I played on the Remake but a lot were absent or replaced, not to say that they were bad, as a level, I enjoyed the ghost ship quite a bit. But there were fewer levels in total, seemingly replaced with mini games in the carnival, and they're baaaad... I didn't go for 100% completion because of them. Game also doesn't run well at all on PS4, it borders on unplayable in parts, and if it wasn't for rewind, I may have given this game a miss. PRO TIP! do not use the analogue stick, use the d-pad instead, for some reason Sir Dan would start walking for no reason which caused me to fail a lot of jumps. I'd be remiss to forget my biggest gripe, in this game a genie lives in Dan's skull, and he is at best, annoying, and at worst, casually racist. I didn't enjoy his presence, he didn't shut up at all, an only really served to replace the gargoyles (who also would have been applicable as a Dr Who actor). Do I recommend the game? Not if you have access to the PS4 Remake. Resurrection has Tom Baker but lacks the best line from the original too. I suppose it'd be a toss up to choose between them.

Popular Post MattbluePT
You can add two entries for The Tenth Doctor - Complete a 3D or VR game, as I've completed: Pirate Flight - Free PSN game, it is fun at first but motion sickness ends up ruining the game a bit after a while. Also it is quite easy and straightforward to complete, you only have to collect all stars in each world, but the requirements aren't difficult. CoolPaintr VR - Decided to give it a go, it looks interesting to do some drawings and experience in 3D. You really feel you're inside your own creations. The DLC, although expensive for what it adds (9.99€), as a cool minigame where you have to destroy some asteroids and survive as long as you can.

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Okay where at five days into the event, so let's do a quick stat summary. But first let's guilt you with what MSF do to try and encourage you to donate: Sudan (Click here for more) Sudan is undergoing a lot of Civil conflict, that is bordering on a war. It started only this year in April for a bunch of complex reasons that I as an outside observer don't feel qualified to discuss (Vox video explaining the conflict). Fighting has caused thousands of people to be displaced and the need for medical care since supplies for malaria treatments are struggling to reach people, and food is also being prevented from reaching people. And this assistance has been needed in Sudan for a while, there were over half a million consultations in 2022 alone. Flooding has also been a recent issue that Doctors Without Borders have been assisting with. The consequences of this conflict won't get fixed quickly, but assistance can be given if we donate. Very Early Event Stats Right now that that is done let's have a quick look at the current stats, so far every category is planned for Except the First Doctor, if you're new you can still sign up to help us achieve the maximum donation. So far 6 of catagories have one contributor. If one other person contributes to one of these categories we can get £30 donated really easily. Point wise there's a real David Tennant bias, with both the 10th and 14th Doctor have 2 points each thanks to the work of MattbluePT & DonLin091 respectively. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Happy trophy hunting!

nashoyo68
1 point for the 2nd Doctor can be added. Finally obtained the platinum for DJ Max Respect. Assuming I read the rules correctly and dlc's are not required. I have been playing this game pretty much non-stop since I purchased it about a month back. Still unsure what my 2nd category for votes will be. The 1st Doctor could use some love but I am having a hard time finding a fitting game. If all else fails I have a puzzle game I can finish off for the 15th doctor.
VersusCA
I have another two to report First is my opening entry for Fourth Doctor, Resident Evil: Revelations 2. I had a great time revisiting this game, it's the only RE game that is an ultra rare platinum without having some form of online component, and I think it earns its UR status. You have to replay each episode 3-4 times at a minimum, completing a time trial, invisible enemies mode, as well as finishing all 10 of the mini-challenges (called badges) associated with the level. The badges were actually the most annoying part as there is no mid-level progression checker. If it wanted you to do 6 stealth kills but you miscounted and only had 5, you have to replay the level. I didn't have much of this happen but it was definitely a bit tense for some of the challenges where you have little margin for error. Overall, this is one of the better RE games released between 4 and 7, and I wish more people would give it a try! Second, I finished yet another sport game for the Fifth Doctor with Winter Stars. This is basically a sequel to my first entry, and like any good sequel I think it is generally a better game. The animations and models look better, and the tracks are more interesting for most of the sports. It adds two new events to the mix: Paraskiing and Curling. Paraskiing was alright, the highlight was the exceptionally silly trick animations you can do to power up your character. Curling was an event I was excited to try but it ended up being a bit frustrating and also the hardest part of the platinum. Several challenges require you to get nearly perfect placement on your stones and these took me an hour or two to get through. I think I have my future games planned out to finish my contributions now: 4th Doctor: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Anno 1800, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and Silent Hill: Downpour. 5th Doctor: Madden 22 (Hoped to have this done today but that's another story lol...), Rugby World Cup 2011, and either Big Buck Arcade or UFC Undisputed 2009.

Popular Post pelagia14
11th Doctor | Optional Romance - Vote #1 Mass Effect (Legendary Edition) | Platinum I love the Mass Effect trilogy, and it was delightful to replay the first game with a new trophy list. The Legendary Edition does an incredible job updating the painfully cumbersome controls of the first game to bring it in line with ME2 & ME3. There are plenty of quality-of-life improvements in regard to things like inventory management. The updated graphics were fantastic. I also had a lot of fun messing around with Photo Mode despite its somewhat limited features. As for the optional romance, ME1 "only" has 3 romance options, though only 2 are available for your Shepard depending on their gender. I play as fem!Shep, giving me Kaiden or Liara as my options. I don't hate Kaiden as many do, but I find him extremely "meh" in ME1. As a result, in ME1 Liara is the only other option available for me. It certainly fits in well with what Liara does at the beginning of ME2, though I won't be continuing a romance with Liara in the rest of the trilogy.
Xylobe
I need to clock in my first completion with Sephonie for 9 (nonviolent)! It's a very unique parkour-focused 3D platformer (supposedly Tony Hawk-inspired, though I'm not familiar enough to confirm) in which you play as a trio of biologists tasked with cataloging the unique wildlife found on the fictional and unexplored Pacific island of Sephonie. Like the developer's last game, Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, the language this game uses to tell its story is extremely poetic and evocative, but unfortunately the story itself is sabotaged in a major way by some baffling censorship: the trio of protagonists are all of different nationalities, but share Taiwanese heritage, and exploring the different ways in which they engage with that heritage is one of the game's most important themes. Inexplicably, in the PS5 (and I assume every console) port, every mention of Taiwan is replaced with "Atlantis." Taiwanese is now "Atlantean," Taipei is "Timaeus," and so on, going so comically far as to replace China with "Greece." There are a lot of games in which those kinds of changes might be superficial and unimportant, but Sephonie is absolutely not one of them. It kneecaps the game so significantly that even as good as it is, I don't think I could ever recommend playing it on console. I do also want to note that the game's store page lists an E10+/PEGI 7 rating for "Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood." Neither of those things are in the game, and I couldn't find any further clarification from the ESRB or PEGI, so my best guess is that Ratalaika literally made something up and hoped no one would notice. The nonviolent tag definitely does apply!
Han_the_Dragon
I don't have much to update, but I have another time travel question.. Does the Time Travel in Fairy Tail counts as time travel (technically there's people coming from the past to the present and from the future to the present, during the Arc that the game takes place..). If so, book me for the 1st Doctor. I will be working on Fairy Tail for my 18k trophy, so, there will not be much else going before that..
