Dubstep?

Dubstep kicks a$$! Some of you clearly do not appreciate the time it takes to make a song. Its not just a bunch of sounds, well some are but for the most part no. What I do hate is rap.

It isn't a bunch of noises mashed together, it's actually really formulaic for the most part which makes it incredibly boring, but there are some decent acts out there, especially in the chillstep sub-genre.

I feel like we can't have this topic up without covering two of the major electronic artists right now: Skrillex and deadmau5. Thoughts anyone?

Overall i think Deadmau5 has a better overall selection where has Skrillex feels a lot of the same - but they do have a few hits in there.

That being said if ya'll are looking for 'mellow' i do the Lindsey Stirling... maybe it's just me but i really like what she does with it.

This actually made me while playing the game.

 

 

Though I got really annoyed when they shoved in that damn Skrillex song into that one particular mission in Far Cry 3,

(you know, when you get to go nuts with the flamethrower on the weed crops)

It just seemed like they were trying way too hard to be trendy. I was taking my time and having fun with the gameplay, but listening to it looped for 10+ minutes or however long it took made me just want to finish it as fast as possible to make the bloody noise stop. And/or break something.

 

 

Yes, I'm an "old man". I still think it sucks for the most part, IMHO.
