i have found 9/10 with crash bandicoot 4 and 10/10 with street fighter5  those 2 games are free that i have taken from ps plus a while ago i have also made great progress with devil may cry 3 from mission 1 until 9 at the moment.

Platinum #300 - Hotline Miami 2

OMG, my white whale, the elusive platinum I've sought for so long but it always felt completely out of reach. Dead Ahead hard mode has been conquered and the genocide grind is over. I can't believe it. When I saw Hard Mode was actually going to be possible I started switching things around so this could be my 300th platinum milestone instead of Metal Gear Solid like I'd originally planned. I'm very happy to have this completed. 18/50 games finished now. Still working on Theatrhythm. I wasn't excited for Theatrhythm at all, but man was I wrong. It is super fun and a blast to play with my kids. They even started playing it themselves on their accounts. After Theatrhythm I start the long and difficult MGS marathon

 Finished up Tomb Raider I for my 43rd completion! My first time on PS5 it took 3 playthroughs because some of the trophies weren't coded to pop on NG+, but an update changed that and this time I was able to get it done in just 2. Definitely a big help for completion time/enjoyability!

 

I still want to get 1 or 2 more games done this month but I keep getting distracted by other things, including games that don't work for this event lol. Regardless of where I am at by end of May I feel very good about my odds of finishing sometime in June

after a week's vacation i actually thought i could present the first finished list, but unfortunately things always turn out differently. 

Just in time for my vacation, my TV broke down (after only 4 years!) and I had to wait a bit for my new one... 

But I was able to see the only new Platinum trophy in 4k and 120 hz.  

 

 

House Flippers 2 was a cozy and fun game but 40 € is way to much for it. For my last trophy I had to run for like 20 Minutes in a circle to get the 42 km trophy and the platinum after it    

 

I also worked on EA SPORTS FC 24 and Rollerdrome

So for someone who only took a quick look at Mafia 3, I have to say I was fascinated by this game. The story and the general feeling of the game captivated me, which meant that I haven't played anything other than Mafia for the last few days. I'm looking forward to playing the other two parts of the Mafia series. I found the game relatively easy for a 7/10, of course it also had its difficult sections but you could learn and overcome them quickly. I would advise everyone to give this game a chance and try it out.

I'm really happy with: List Two - 6/10 Batman: Arkham Asylum.

I may need to talk a little about this one.

 

This was tough for me. No problem with the game itself but bounced hard off the Combat challenges.

So, after beating the story on Hard difficulty I gave up. That was December 2009.

 

in Nov 2020 I decide it would be a really good idea to play Batman: Return to Arkham on my PS4. No surprises I had the same result and again gave up due to the combat challenges. [I wasn't as serious about trophy hunting back then]

 

I deliberately put this on my list to push myself to finish it. This time I persevered with the challenges and slowly improved and began ticking them off.

That was until Shock and Awe (Extreme).

By this time points were no object but the time limit was brutal. I lost count of the attempt that ended due to time when I had acquired the 30K+ points required.

 

This morning before work I had the run. I'm sure anyone who plays fighting games knows the feeling when you stop really thinking about the controls and just play, almost in a daze.

I had 30K points by round 3 and round 4 is really just a blur to me. But I downed the last guy with the timer on 0:00 and the screen starting to fade.

 

So this platinum took me over 14 years [2nd Sept 2009 - 30th May 2024]

Platinum #301 - Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line

About once or twice a year a game really blows me away and exceeds expectations. This is one of those games. It was so much fun to jam out to the FF music and the "side content" of battling with different characters and abilities and doings quests and stuff had so much depth and strategy to it. I'm genuinely impressed with this game. Loved it. My kids love it. Even though I bought it digitally I'll be buying it again physically because it deserves a place on my shelf for the collection. 19/50 completed, next up Metal Gear Solid!

I Am Kara Hassan  

 

Well, not really, but I was allowed to guide dear Kara through several arenas and do grabs, grinds and kill some House Players. As someone who used to spend countless hours playing Tony Hawk Underground 1 and 2 with his homies, Rollerdrome was really refreshing and I felt right at home. I would also say that 10-15 years ago the game would have really hit the spot between the more forgettable Tony Hawk games. I also really liked the graphic art style. Towards the end it was unfortunately a bit monotonous, I also don't like that the arenas were repeated in the Blood Campaign. Overall a good game!  

 

Rollerdrome was my 5th game on the second list and so it's already half-time there.

I like these mindless JobTask Simulator games, but most of them are low budget jank-fests with graphics that look like they were copy/pasted from a 2004-era 3D Engine tech demo. This one had actual effort put into its development:  the controls are smooth, the graphics are pleasant, its levels are robust and varied... hell, it even has co-op and a clever little story. All-in-all, a perfect game for zoning out and catching up on podcasts or listening to a ball game. 

 

Difficulty-wise, I thought this was more of a 3/10. The only reason this isn't a universal 2 is the Challenge Mode trophy, which requires you to complete 5 levels with either a time limit or limited water supply. Some people struggle with it, I guess, but I thought it was pretty easy (and fun!)

Platinum #302 - Metal Gear Solid: MCV1 PS4

Even though Metal Gear is one of my favorite series, this particular entry isn't my favorite lol I don't think I'd have spoken harshly of it a few days ago, but having revisited the game now in 2024 and post-playing all the other MGS games that followed it...this isn't the strongest entry in the franchise. I'm glad it led the way for masterpieces like MGS3, MGSPW and MGSV to come out though. I'm glad I switched my 300 milestone to Hotline Miami 2 instead of this lol So my wife is out of town for 6 days so currently I'm (somewhat unhealthily lol) binging gaming hardcore so I completed the PS4 version and all but one trophy on the PS5 version back to back. Definitely gonna take a break though since I can't stomach the thought of doing all those VR missions again so soon. This is why I'm pro save transfer / autopop...to prevent doing things twice like this. Oh well. 21/50 completed, next up Ima try to earn as many trophies as possible before Tuesday so I'll do a few easier games on my lists

Quick Update: Haven't had much time to play since my last update as my niece has been off school for the last week and she has another week off next week. I have made considerable progress towards the challenge, despite having limited time. I've completed Batman Arkham Knight on new game +, I just played through the main missions and skipped everything else and it still took around 5-6 hours to finish. 

 

God of War 2018 is sitting at a healthy 77% at the time of posting. All I have remaining is the various collectibles (Max Health/Rage/Artefacts/Ravens/Dig Sites) and the Valkyries. I'm enjoying the game but I don't think the combat is as strong as say GOW3 (God of War 3). Over the coming weeks I'm hoping to have most of God of War wrapped up so I can start a new project, and have Batman as a side project. I'm contemplating on changing my 9/10 for the traditional list but I'm not sure I have the courage and the skills needed to go for it.

Getting near the end with two more completions from my backlog with Kingdom Hearts 0.2 and Rayman Legends! Only 3 more games to go (well technically 4 as I will need to replace one more game for Loyalist if I want all badges).

 

I gave up several times on KH 0.2 as I didn't had the patience to learn the patterns of the secret boss every time I went back to it but I finally sat down and did it. The first time I played this game was a month or two before the release of KH3 and it hyped me so much for it! Plus Aqua is my second favourite character after King Mickey so being able to play her was amazing with the new combat system!

 

As for Rayman Legends, most people don't seem to enjoy the grind needed for the plat but I will have to say that the daily challenges have been really enjoyable. I am not a fan of grind that doesn't really rely on skills (like levelling up to 100 in Diablo IV, it was such an uninteresting chore) but when your actual skills in the games matter and can cut the time by half or even 10, it is much more bearable as it actually motivates me to get better at the game and make the grind enjoyable as it is not mindless. Glad to have nailed this one and a bit sad that my daily ritual is over.

 

The next three games might take a while. I have been playing games only for this challenge for the past two months and made a lot of progress. But I will have a lot less time to play starting this month and I am not really enjoying having to go through hardcore run in Turok 2 or Big Boss in MSG2. I don't want to get burned out on the challenge so I will most likely play other games without worrying about trophies. There are a lot of games that released in the past months that I wanted to play (Hifi Rush, Dave the Diver, Stellar Blade and others) so it is perfect to take a break. I will update if I still manage to complete a game!

I'd argue Arkham City's challenges are more difficult than Arkham Knight's, but then again, everyone here may say otherwise. Everything in Arkham Knight flows easier, better, and smoother than in City and even the Batmobile challenges aren't that bad.

I got Street Fighter V, and what a grind this was, gold league was surprisingly fine, but priceless and 300 wins were sooooo tedious. Happy to cross it off as my first completion to finally begin this challenge :DD

Sometimes it's just spontaneous. Celeste smiled at me on my PS5 homepage on Friday and somehow I suddenly just wanted to play it. 

I'll have finished EA Sports soon and then there will only be 2 games left on list 1 and 3 games on list 2. I made good progress in May and the end of the first list is definitely planned for this month. I had a lot of fun playing new titles for me from list 2, but I'm going to tackle a few titles from my backlog after list number 1.

I am very confused. How could a game based on an IP that is targeted towards toddlers be in the same difficulty vein as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus? (I don't play games like that, not even for my little nieces, so I apologize if I sound stupid. Maybe you have to do some really insanely brutal swimming mini-game. )

Seems like one of those games that got assigned a difficulty rating it didn't deserve and never got changed. There aren't many game owners on PSNP but I doubt it's higher than a 3/10. Great find though, I won't use it but others will! There's a trophy walkthrough video on YouTube, this guy got the plat in 8 hours.
