Visual Novel guides nowadays?

Hey fellas.

As most of you know, ps3imports does not exist anymore, and as a visual novel player I know that most of the Japanese novel guides they translated and created to help the non-Japanese speakers are uploaded on psntrophyleaders forum.

So my question is about the new visual novels or the ones that are going to be released, aka the ones that don't have a trophy guide uploaded there.

Does anyone know if there's another site where people are doing the same "job" or now is everyone by themselves? Go search the guide in Japanese and translate it/understand it yourself.

Thanks

…or use youtube.

I know from my perspective that I have looked into Japanese VN guides (only done 1 I believe) and it was also released outside of Japan as well.

I had thought about doing more but the price of them combined with such a niche audience doesn’t seem worth it.

I speak Japanese so I use the japanese guides, as I play the Japanese versions of the games, but I assume could you use google translate to translate the page?

Yes. That's exactly what I'm doing when I find a game that has no trophy guides here or at the psntrophyleaders forum.

I already was able to deal with some novels, but sometimes I get stuck like I'm now on laid back camp have a nice day.

I found a "guide", and even got some help here. But still, I know what a have to do: get all the CGs playing the game choosing every possible choice. And even that I'm doing that, I'm still missing some of them. So I'm like. Ok. This game I need to choose people everytime, depending which one I choose I get another different choice. So a guide telling which one I need to choose would be perfect. But I couldn't find a Japanese guide like that.

So that's where my first question would fit. Because normally you find a guide telling, choose this, choose that.. Etc... XD

This was just an example from a guide that got me stuck xD

There's a guide for laid back camp:

https://h1g.jp/yurucamp/?トロフィー

They have a list of all the CGs with the requirements as well and a week by week answer sheet:

https://h1g.jp/yurucamp/?CGアルバム

https://h1g.jp/yurucamp/?1週目

And that's exactly the guide I was following. But I never found these 2 links that you gave me xD

I was like: how can I find myself here, I thought the website layout was extremely confusing, and I'm pretty sure some guides from ps3imports have a Japanese guide like that and the person could make it easier to understand. Just like some of the guides from seyia saiga website (or something like that xD).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna check it later these extra links from the guide :)

The guides from PSI were absorbed by PSNTL.

Except that they totally borked the merge, most guides where transfered without the pictures so 90% of guides are worthless now.

Better to use ps3imports on the Wayback Machine.

I think the used to host the pictures on their own sever inside the website, so the person who copied the guides just copied the server link, that's why they lost almost all the images.

Luckily with a cellphone and Google lens I can translate the options and choose by myself the choices that I think are the best.

But some guides like shin hayarigami, I started the Korean version and for answering the panels where you need to choose some options, I was translating  the Korean option at the console and the Japanese option at the guide there xD

Hes asking about newer games not all the older ones from psimports.

Did all those authors stop writing guides?

Wasn't aware it was unsuccessful.

It depends on what the game is.

The ones i use where I was always able to get 100% without problem are the following:

Choro game- have been using this for years and find it the best, although it is mostly otome games: https://choro-game.com/

Soregashi: https://www.soregashi.work/

https://otomegame-capture.com/

For general visual novels, I like the @Wiki sites and h1g:

I use h1g for most games, not just visual novels, I remember using to for many JRPGs and Tales games too, it has many game guides on there and is one of the biggest gaming guide sites for Japanese games. https://h1g.jp/index.html

You should be able to find most games on there. I used it for games like Steins gate, psycho pass and root letter as well. I almost always found a guide there. I am not sure about very niche titles but in my experience the site is very comprehensive.

Is there a specific games guide that you are looking for? If there is am happy to help find it, as I speak Japanese and am pretty familiar with Japanese guides.
