So you get 8 points for a draw everytime? Hopefully this will work on the PS3 and Vita versions too.

You get less points after every rank, but nothing major. From 900 to 1000 you get 2 pts each match I believe.

Ah, I kinda thought as much. Although even only 2 points for a draw done this way would be a lot quicker than going through the process of playing and winning matches. Nice find.

This method doesn't work once you get to 950, draws won't give points anymore. You will have to win 15 games against the level 1000 computer. At that point don't take a loss, you can save and quit before you get mated and then delete the game.

You do, you just have to do it suddenly 2 times in a row for a point to come.

I'm playing on vita and I don't get any points when I get a draw, anyone knows what am I doing wrong?

 

Update: You need to start tournament mode first.

I too had the problem that my rating wasn't increasing from 100 even though I had completed the beginner tournament. What fixed it for me was playing two consecutive games against the computer without going to the menu between games.
