Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni coming west in 2016 (EU & US, retail & download)

Recommended Posts

NTSC retail pending or digital only?

Just a quick heads up. If you want to grab the US-version and no other online shop will offer it, you can grab the US-version via these links:

Seems like they appeared sometime this morning.

Lol, gg, RD, much NA bait, very money :awesome:

But wow, rather than letting someone else take the glory, they offer the NA version as well, #basedRD

Thank you, but after seeing everyone complain about $30 shipping, I already know it's out of my price range lol................... orz

Understandable. But the store is confusing. When I pre-ordered Steins;Gate 0 I had to pay no shipping. Now I would have to pay shipping for Steins;Gate 0. I suspect that there are some periods where they offer free or lowered shipping rates. And my guess is that it will also appear on your local Amazon-store or for you on VGP.ca like it happened for Gal*Gun.

That was free shipping promotion.

But I'm not that positive it applies to non-EU (technically xD) countries.

I didn't know about this game until I was wondering around GameFAQs. I thought it was a Visual Novel by the look of the girls. But I'll pick this up. Every gamer needs a "Girls With Big Boobs" game in their lives. Think the major let down is if this is going to get censored af.

Nah, it got rated in Germany.

Ehm, no, it got rejected in Germany. D:

PQube have told us that the OFLC did not elaborate on their decision to refuse Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni classification. USK however did provide some information, most of which mimicked the decision they made with Criminal Girls 2 — both of which were likely submitted to the USK at around the same time. The USK deemed it to contain “content severely harmful to minors” and claimed there is content that depicts “minors in unnatural and sexually explicit poses”.

Shit... :| I guess I have to switch my pre-order from Amazon Germany to Rice Digital.

You've got to love governments that act like they know what's best for you. Let people make their own damn decisions... If you're a grown ass man, I don't see the problem. I'm guessing it's because they still see video games as something for children. So dumb.

In other news, I'm on the fence whether I should pre-order this game or not. I guess it's supposed to be like the Senran Kagura games? I hear they aren't very good, but maybe this game is better? I don't know if I wanna purchase a game based on its how perverted I am alone. Nah, who am I kidding? I bought Gal*Gun after all.  :awesome:

The best part about these governments and especially the age-rating board is the fact that similar games get an age-rating (Criminal Girls 1 & Senran Kagura both got USK16 --> PEGI 16) but this time they don't. If the reason is similar to the reason why Germany won't get a retail-release for Criminal Girls 2 than it's the fear of the fact that the actions in the game could be seen as child pornography.

About Senran:

The games for Vita and PS4 are rather simple arena-based beat 'em ups. Sure, the games have a high focus on fanservice but even without that I found them quite entertaining, mainly for the gameplay.

It's funny how big culture differences are. Maybe one day they will learn to love the loli like we do.  :awesome:

I own a few of the Senran Kagura games, I just haven't played them yet. People give me mixed opinions on them, so it kinda drives me away. I guess I should just try them for myself so I can form my own opinion.

I ended up pre-ordering Valkyrie Drive. Even if I don't like the game itself, I very much like the box art. Worth it!  :awesome:
