Parker
We'll need a little more information than that. Do you know the rest of the specs for the system, graphics card, RAM and whatnot? Parker
DEMON
Acer is generally a budget make and you are best to stay away from them if you want it for running games etc. Go for an Asus or Lenova instead. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-E5-575G-53VG-Laptop-Windows/dp/B01DT4A2R4/ref=pd_lpo_147_bs_tr_t_2/156-7718975-0662216?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5SVAVGMZ7XTJ25RPNB5Q Is this the laptop? ruffedgz
So this all depends on the type of laptop. I will go based off what DEMON provided since it has more details an i5 core process is fine but I would upgrade to the i7 myself to keep it from getting old fast (2.3 GHz on the i5 while 2.5 GHz on the i7 which to me it worth it) the SSD drive is nice, 256GB is large but depending on how much data you actually need, it might run out fast but SSDs should help with any gaming needs the 940mx graphics card is in the middle of the pack when it comes to NVIDIA, should be fine as the new 10XX series chips came out Sept 2016, those laptops will be VERY expensive 8GB RAM is good and should last awhile even for a laptop 12 hour battery isn't bad but that might start going down over time #laptopproblems Windows 10 I like and is work the upgrade All in all, good specs but I would upgrade myself to the i7 processor myself as its worth the extra cash for a longer running laptop but Aser is known as being the 'budget' computer company and there is a reason for it (lower costs, lower life span). I would read more on the reviews of the laptop you want and watch some of their videos as well. Read the good and the bad as it might give you an idea about the product and possibly what to expect. IntenseFATE98
If this is for gaming, if you want decent performance that's worth the money, get a laptop with atleast 960M. The rest aren't worth it imo. also, that CPU is a mobile CPU meant for efficiency than power, don't expect games to run smoothly (if this is for gaming). Cynthia-Roses
In my earnest opinion... I avoid laptops in general for gaming as they are not very upgradable, and you spend a lot on them to get specs that might be relevant for 2-3 years for high end gaming where you'd spend significantly less on a desktop. To answer your question... Intel HD Graphics kind of suck. They can run some games, but they lack a lot of features that make some games literally impossible to play and they aren't that high end either. That laptop's CPU is on the slower side too, so you're not going to be playing many 2016+ games in full settings. Generally Acer makes budget laptops for general and school use, so you're not going to be seeing much in the way of gaming sadly. Lower spec games like Stardew Valley, Minecraft and such will work just fine though.

Cynthia-Roses
Portal 2 is from 2011. So you probably won't be running anything after 2012ish. Not anything intensive anyways.
AARCT1C
I have an Acer E15. The screen got damaged a week out of warranty. Paid for it to be replaced. 2 weeks later it died. Completely died. Acer tech couldn't fix it. Had to buy a new laptop.
