2k Games' official online store is currently selling the Borderlands: Gentleman Claptrap Edition (regularly $399.99) for $79.99 (regularly £269.99, now £81 in UK), for a whopping $320 off (80%). This edition includes the Borderlands: Handsome Collection bundle, exclusive Steelbook case, 12 character lithographs (collector cards of the 12 Vault Hunter characters, much like the Black Ops III Specialist cards from the Hardened Edition), Collector's Box, and a fully functional robotic Gentleman Claptrap unit, controllable via the Figure Joystick or the Claptrap App (also known as 4PP-TP). With working lights, sounds and speech (including some of Claptrap's most memorable and desperate phrases), his eye really works and you can see exactly what the little annoying robot can see via the 4PP-TP. Sale is good from now until Friday, 12/16 at 11:59pm EST.

Limit 1 Gentleman Claptrap Edition per order:

It's not only NA ;)

UK link: http://store.2k.com/store/Tk22k/en_GB/pd/productID.331950500  Was £269.99, now £81.00

Just search for it on your local store.

Clicking that link for me brings me back to the NA 2k Store, much like how the PS Store website does. I'll update the post though. Thanks for the info. The image on 2k's NA website says the sale is for Canada, US and Mexico only, so that's why I put NA.

Wow. I wish I could teleport to the US to pick up this good-looking Collector´s Edition with that huge discount, because there´s no way the final product will cost me the same price 2K wants for it if I have to pay for international delivery to bring it here to Peru.

That said, I haven´t played any Borderlands game yet, but I´ve read how many people seem to like the franchise here on the internet, and I also really enjoyed Tales of the Borderlands and it´s world and lore, obviously based on the main franchise (I also enjoyed Claptrap´s somewhat short appearance in the final part of the game, but that was enough for me to like that little robot character), so I may consider picking The Handsome Collection for our PS4 this Christmas.

What do you reccomend me, should I pick it? How is the game trophy-wise, doable enough? Maybe I should wait for Borderlands 3 or start in the first Borderlands? I´m eager to hear your suggestions.

I've got 100% for Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Tales From the Borderlands, Borderlands 2 (PS4), Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! (PS4), and Tales From the Borderlands (PS4), and the plat for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! They're kiiiiiiiinda big trophy lists, in that there's a few trophies you need to do a lot of things for (ex: the Level 1 Challenge trophies, Discovering Named Locations, playing with all 4 characters to get their related Actions Skill trophies). But there is A TON of content to play, and it's all definitely worth replaying at least once, even The Pre-Sequel! which wasn't as good as Borderlands 2. Don't forget the Handsome Collection comes with both Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel!, as well as all DLC for both, which that alone is worth over $110. Here in the US, you can find the Handsome Collection for like $20-40 depending on where you go and if you buy it new or used.

LITERALLY just purchased this from Gamestop for $120 less THAN a month ago. How much BS'ary can life get?? Next thing you know, JC3's and Dishonored 2 Collector's Edition will be cheaper soon to. I look forward to the inevitable soon more BS.

Like, they should have dropped the price of this BORDERLANDS related item

Still, $120 for that? That's badass!!! Is the buzz axe heavy?

Also, on Cyber Monday, I picked this edition of Dishonored 2 from Best Buy for $35. Came with a Steelbook, Keychain, Dishonored 2 sequel novel, Imperial Assassin's Pack and a digital code for Dishonored: Definitive Edition

Yes for the Claptrap one. The Buzzaxe and Psycho Mask Bundle (which looks better in person and better wrapped up than in the image I provided), is still $180 based on Gamestop. I got to feel the buzzaxe - because the employee let me the day I got the other Borderlands item - and it was sharp and heavy.  It ain't like that extremely poor thing you call a Plasma Cutter from the D2 Collector's Edition, not like the mostly plastic but still decently representative Grappling Hook from Just Cause 3, nor that low quality Joel's Watch from PSG.com, it's actually one of the more genuine higher quality replicas of an in-game item.

Oh damn. I thought it was $120 for that buzzaxe bundle. :shakefist:

Lol, I get what you´re saying, mate. Like when I actually decide to buy a neat discounted little game on the PS Store, and the next week, BAM, It´s on PS Plus´ IGC "free" monthly games... :|

Hmmm, yeah. I was just checking the trophy list for all the 3 games (Borderlands 1,2 and The Pre-Sequel!) and indeed they are kinda big trophy lists, but, then again, I managed to Platinum Black Ops 2 and almost complete all of it´s 4 DLCs, which makes in total 91 trophies (just missing Die Rise and Buried Easter Egg trophies, that makes it 89/91), so I can definitely grind my way up to the top in this one.

You got that right, mate. Collector´s Editions´ items are always awesome to have if you manage to put you hands on them (some of my favourites being the TLoU´s Ellie´s Spring Knife, BO3´ Juggernog mini-fridge and RE7´ Baker House replica).

I kept checking that out and comparing it with this

ce-dis2-vanityspread.jpg

I ended up getting ^ instead (last week). I find it just a bit unfair though how this didn't contain the novel :\. Key-chain would have been nice but it wasn't that much of a miss, unlike the novel. The steelcases (why are they called books??) should be the same.

And $120 for that bundle would be steal'ish, considering the mask can be viably worn, and the buzzaxe is high quality. It ain't like them Foam Master Swords, Negan's PLASTIC (instead of wooden -_-) Baseballbat, or even some of the slightly higher quality but still ridiculously cheaply made metal Master Swords.

The steelbooks aren't the same actually. It actually looks like this

200200-L-LO.jpg

As for why they're called steelbooks, I'm not sure why they're named that and not steelcase or something else. I did find it weird to include a novel bundled with a game. Not only in this day and age do not as many people actually read full-fledged novels, in actual physical form even less, but to bundle it with a video game... That's almost like bundling condoms with inFamous: Second Son as a preorder bonus.

Lol, If you quote it like that, you obviously won't understand. The part directed to you was the one saying that I know the feeling when you buy something and then, out of nothing, it's heavily discounted, making you miss that opportunity (like when you buy something and then it becomes "free" on PS Plus). Hence my specific quotation to you just for that part.

.... No. I quoted that part because Ive never heard of such a official replica made. Im aware of the watch, (low quality action figure-like quality) Joel and Ellie statue, the Clicker busts, Clicker statue, among other things, but Ive NEVER heard anything about Ellie's blade being replicated.

Yeah, I remember seeing some news announcement about a very-limited edition run of Ellie's knife replica for sale on the PS Gear website (who also sold the quite infamous Joel's watch replica) a couple of years (maybe even 3 years) ago. Now that I want to refresh my memory and search articles about the announcement of that specific item, I can't find anything, just unofficial/fan-made replicas, like this one:

But, in reality, Ellie's knife is based almost entirely on a 9" Italian Stilleto Spring Knife, so if you actually want one, you can order the required parts for making it, or buy a pre-made one yourself, like this one: http://www.bladeplay.com/item--SKMAB-9-Italian-Stiletto-Sim-Dark--19117

Yeah man, never heard of that one. Every other super special ND product has been reproduced after being sold out: Clicker crap, Precursor Orb (although now its not purchasable on the official PS site anymore), Joel's Watch, etc.
