With he incoming release of Yakuza Kiwami 2 and the more than likely western release of Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 remastered, just simply start with Yakuza 0 and work your way up. Beware though, 3 4 and 5 will feel a lot more old than 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2, but theyre still very playable, no cause for concern there.

I'd do Yakuza Kiwami, Kiwami 2, then spin back to Zero for the complete experience. Then wait for 3, 4, and 5 to be ported and localized, or jump straight to Yakuza 6. The important thing is that each game is different and can be enjoyed regardless of order. Playing in order only helps to give you more context on who the characters are.

The changes that were made in Kiwami were pretty clearly done with the intent of turning it into a semi-sequel to 0. And the bonus Majima content in Kiwami 2 also will lose most of its impact if you haven't played 0. So assuming you're sticking with the PS4 games (and don't know Japanese), 0 > Kiwami > Kiwami 2 would be the best order to start with.
