Thinking my theory as stated is a bit of a bust, but still don't think it's as straight forward as the moe charts imply. Anyway, been a few developments in my progress this week. Managed to knock off 3 trophies just leaving me with the obvious 2 (plus the platinum). I went a bit overkill on the Fantastic TCS (doing 64 billion damage). Also managed to get some Bureaucrats completing my shampuru collection. The last trophy I got was Peon Fusion Complete which I just belted out upon realising there isn't a trophy for having 600% peons. 

 

I've also knocked out another 2 playthroughs and maxed my first tier 15s and tier 14 (more Boss Returns needed). I've also been doing Mugen Field Rank M Toughs to help bolster the rank 15s. Probably got about 4 or so playthroughs before there is next to no benefit in doing more. I want to at least max out Colorful using NG+s. Next week will probably be another 2 playthroughs, 10-20 runs of Boss Returns and some buffing of Tier 11.

Yeah, the chart gives you an idea of what to use, but there definitely seems to be some randomness involved too. I'd say it usually has good results about 75% of the time? Personally I tended to have worse luck with commands like Smile & Kind, but Crybaby, Confession, & Desperate almost always had positive results. :hmm:

Something like that. Think what happened was I had a guy right in the corner, and it tried to blast him to the other side, except there was nowhere to go and so put him outside. After that, it just allowed me to run away from the grid, it would occasionally snap him back to the side though, where I could run along the edge until I could escape again.

Finished maxing out the Tier 12 Shampurus. I was hoping that I wouldn't exceed 400 hours on the road to this platinum. Also, I thought that to get the Seven weapons (the best ones in the game) I would need to find the components and make it in the store, yet I realized thaty I actually needed to sell the shit so that the components register in the store. This is what happens when I have Final Fantasy 13 syndrome and start hoarding everything that I find.

 

I ended up making the Seven's Vulcan Cannon (best bazooka) in order to switch out the Seven's Spiral that I had equiped seeing as I don't need to rely on attack power during my Mugen Field runs. Lastly, my average charms finally increased after being stuck at an average of 94 for who knows how long.

Well, another week another two playthoughs taking my total to 20. My shampuru count has gone up another decent chunk, but getting to the point where I might just have to resort to using the mugen field. I think I'll give myself a break from playthroughs for now to finish off Boss Returns for rank 14s and start the grind for Paw Pad (which should hopefully help clear up any missing rank 13s). Anything after that will be a bonus though I might switch it up if this gets a bit too monotonous. My charm levels have broken off from the standard three groups, but closing in on 100% (couple more weeks I guess).

Making my weekly progress update earlier than normal as I'm not sure how much free time I'll have today. I maxed out all tier 13s and 14s, though I will probably return to Boss Returns later to max out Toy Capsule and Test Success 1s. Been doing a mugen field run every day and also did a bunch more farming so I'm almost at the point where I need to target specific shampurus. My first priority is to finish off the rank 15s once and for all and that will be my goal for this week. I did a playthrough yesterday to help accommodate that, though will take another 3 playthroughs plus another few mugen field runs (which will also max Colorless).

 

My charm ranks are getting real skewed again at this late stage, but hoping that it will even out somewhat once Energetic is maxed.

Weekly update time. Relatively poor week as far as shampuru gains goes, but there are some definite positives. Energetics are finished so no more playthoughs needed after I did another 3 this week. I have started the mugen field cleanup which is tedious to say the least (I picked Tough route, not Eventful you stupid game!). I'm just after also maxing my rank 12s and so at least in theory the rest of my mugen field farming should get easier with lower level enemies. Gained a few more charm levels, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. Sadly I'm not getting it in under 1000 hours (though I do have a lot of wasted hours due to having it on while doing other commitments). Now for the important stats.

Haven't had much time to play it this week (despite the difference in hours), so not a huge amount done. On the plus side, I got my first 100% charm (Masochist). It was however my only charm rise this week. I started by farming Sumo, and then only realised late on Friday I could farm Fleet Admiral and Dynamite at the same time. I'll be farming those when I get home.  Once those are done, I'll have ranks 1-4 and 10-15 completely finished. Still need to do some serious grinding in Boss Boss Boss!!! to max out Big CPU Sis and get some Paw Pads, but otherwise I expect it to get easier as I go along. Hoping that Toy Capsule and Test Success 1 naturally cap as I go through the Mugen Field.

Slightly better week this time. Still no more 100% charm levels, but getting close. Maxed out Fleet Admiral and Dynamite and started farming for Vice Admiral, though while trying to do that. I happened to max out 1st Lieutenant and Flower (so all rank 6s are maxed now). Just after returning to floor 60 as I seemed to get more Vice Admirals on 61-69 compared to 71-79 on Rank I normal. Incidentally those are the floors where the slumbering bosses drop Capsule Toy and Test Success 1 which is a bonus. I'll probably max out Fake after this is done before I go back to maxing rank 9s. And no, I didn't find the missing 1 work drill yet- it's the only Attack shampuru I'm missing, and I've maxed out Defend and Magic. 

 

Edit: Just a few minutes after posting this, I hit 100% in Ego, Hyper and Graceful. Won't update the below though. This also puts me on 99% average :)

@manudude02 Very nice on getting at least one of the personalities to 100%. You will definitely beat me to getting the platinum lol.

Finished maxing out the Tier 1, 2, 5, 11, and 12 Shampurus. I don't know if I should finish off the Tier 9 in Mugen Field, or just keep on trying my RNG in Arena of Strength (which is pretty much garbage.

After that it's just a matter of keeping awake through the non-existent story line for the Tier 15 (UUUUUGHHH).

@GarciaFever I was mixing up doing playthroughs with doing rank M mugen field runs to max out the rank 15s. The bosses from floor 60 upwards all give rank 15s. If I remember right, you just need to max Overwhelming with new game+ (if not resorting to Overwhelming Apocalpse).

Yeah but it's just the bosses that give you rank 15 Shampurus. If it was normal enemies, then I would be doing that instead. Starting at floor 60, you would only be able to get 4 bosses, and even then you would have to make sure they don't get frenzied.

 

All of my runs have been about how many I can get in the fastest time as possible while minimizing the RNG. I know that it is easier to do Overwhelming Apocalypse, but I am not wasting time trying to get Chou-Chou to an absurd amount of % for the Tier 15.

All of my runs have been about how many I can get in the fastest time as possible while minimizing the RNG. I know that it is easier to do Overwhelming Apocalypse, but I am not wasting time trying to get Chou-Chou to an absurd amount of % for the Tier 15.

 

5 bosses (60,70,80,90,100). The way I would do it is do a NG+ run, do floor 1-60 seeing as you need to anyway for the true ending. Kill all the doppelgangers. The rank 15s come from the minions, you should have no issue peoning them without relying on the crystal. Once that is done, do floor 61-100 then you are ready for another NG+.

And how many Tier 15 Shampurus do you get from the Mugen Field alone? Also what is the drop rate for each Shampuru?

 

Because I can get anywhere from 500-700 (per one Shampuru type) or more from the NG+ runs.

It's 125 of one for each boss. It's really only useful for Energetic (where you only get 375 from a NG+ run), but it helped break down the monotony. They are guaranteed as long as you can peon the crystal.

Not too much progress this week. It didn't exactly help that I was away from the house all day yesterday. As stated in my previous update edit, I'm now up to four 100% personalities, but have had no other gains there. I've maxed out Vice Admiral, Fake and Evil Angel, and currently floating in rank G Tough floor 89 trying to max Pirate which incidentally also gets me Bigguns at the same time. I also finally got that missing Work Drill to max out my Attack shampurus. The plan after this is to use Mugen field to max Spatula, then try to clear the rest in the worlds to leave only the specials. I still think @GarciaFever is getting the platinum before me, but I guess it depends on how much time is available for each of us.

That's the plan, I had no clue I was getting Bigguns when I was chose to go to the mugen field for Pirate. Something I hadn't mentioned is that the two monsters involved are even the same moe type (masochist) so don't even have to switch forms which is why I'm now doing those two at the same time. Just need to stay focused as I have a habit of getting distracted.

Don't know if anyone has the answer to this, but how exactly is someone able to get the rare Shampuru to drop from certain monsters? Also what is the percentage of them dropping?

 

Because I want to try and get the rare Shampuru to drop from those Predator monsters located on floors 61-80 Normal route after placing a bet of 200001-500000 G. They have a chance of dropping 12 Pirate per monster.

I had a look into it and it's not very practical at all. From what I understand, you have to destroy a crystal with the Moe'd effect while the enemy is inside it's range. This would give the enemy the "Moe Moe" status effect for a couple of turns. You then need to triple moe the enemy (max all 3 bars). I'm not sure it's even 100% after all that.
