Gommes_ Posted December 30, 2018 Share Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) Well, true native 4k is only possible on the Xbox One X consolewise. Best game for that would be RDR2. The Pro uses checkerboard rendering when displaying 4K. Not saying that it doesn't look stunning but coming from a normal PS4 you are not able to see huge improvements regarding the resolution. Edit: Some titles do use native 4k but not the latest ones. Last of us is one example. Haysi_Fantaysee Posted December 30, 2018 Share Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) I have a PS4 Pro and a 4k TV, The last of Us is displayed in 2160p (4k) @ 30fps with high quality shadows or 1880p @ 60fps with normal shadows or basic 1080p (You will see these options listed under the graphics options in the main menu if you have a PS4 Pro and 4K TV). DO make sure HDR is enabled assuming your TV can handle it. For me the whole point of owning a PS4 Pro and a 4K TV is to play at the highest settings possible, otherwise it defeats the point in owning it. People who do not own a PS4 Pro and / or a 4K TV will be quick to tell you how much of a waste of money it all is. DO NOT listen to them. *Don't forget to enable 'Boost mode' in your PS4 Pro settings. **PSVR runs heaps better on PS4 Pro.
