AnghellicKarma
I just got Dissidia NT for PS4 last week in a sale at GameStop, and I've downloaded the Free Version since I heard that you can get all the Trophies there and that they basically "import" (ie unlock all of the same ones) in the Full Version if you start it up thereafter. I'm not sure if it works the other way, though, so my thought is that I should do everything in the Free Version first before getting to the main version for the rest of the Trophies that full game has. That said, I'm brand new to the game as a whole. I went through the first few Combat tutorials and am still getting my mind around things, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a sort of "path" to follow to basically unlock all the Free Version's trophies. It looks like the basic goal would be to: Obtained all the EX skills and summons. How is this possible in the free version? What would I do? Obtain 50 titles. Not sure how this even happens. Win 300 Ranked Matches. I heard you can utilize bots/computer AI opponents for this, still need to look into it more to figure out how to do that. I also have a second PS4, so maybe that can help? Specific actions in Ranked Matches. These are: Beat all 3 opponents by yourself 15 times, 30 wins without taking damage, 5 interruptions in a single match 30 times, Destroy 50 Summoning Cores by yourself, Beat someone at max HP with a single attack 50 times. Are there any tips for doing the above in the Free version? I know that available characters can rotate out each week as well, so that makes me think it's difficult to get some of the above. But really, I'm just brand new and hoping to understand the best "path" (or roadmap?) to getting through the above.
JiII-Valentine--
The best advice I can give you is to play against bots. I'm currently playing the free version and I've found this to be the best method to get most of the trophies. Don't spend any gil, since you can get titles for earning 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000 gil.

Popular Post mogu-n0ex
> Ranked matchs trophies means you have to play online mode (PSPlus required ofc) BUT you can practically ensure that the rest of the players are bots by lowering the MTU of your PS4 connection to 750-800. This helps a lot, you can win the trophies "The "Me" in Team", "Not a Scratchy" and "One-Hit Wonder" with almost no effort. For the trophy "Rock 'n' Roll" it's better to wait until both teams have summoned, so the bots will not focus the cores and you can destroy it all by yourself. > Get the Lv. 10 character title of each one playing the Basic Trial, Core Batlle mode, with Y'shtola/Shantotto when you can. at the highest difficult possible. Take in mind you only will earn titles for characters you own, so take the opportunity to get the titles of the characters that are free in the actual rotation (check @DFF_NT_JP to know the actual rotation changes and stuff). You can lvl up more characters putting they as support characters, but you only gain the title when you actually play with they. > Use always the same summon until you get the 100 ranked battles won with they so when you win 300 ranked battles you can get 3 additional titles. > Buy icons. Different icons, not upgraded versions. Like, a lot. Money titles are acumulative so spend all you can. I think I don't leave anything more important to know... oh yes, you can carry all your progression to the full version, but you have to meet the condition of the trophy at least once for it to pop-up. For example, if you have the trophy "In the Nick of Time" in Free Edition, to get the same trophy at the full game, you have to win one ranked match interrupting five enemy attacks just once, and then you'll gain the trophy. The same goes to the A++ trophies. If you gain A++ with a character more than three times in Free Edition, you only have to reach A++ with that character once to get the trophy, even if the Free Edition don't have these trophies. Well, happy grinding ~ ✌️?
Virdeborn
I'm yet to find a clear answer on whether or not any of the offline grind in Free (core battles for character levels and crystal titles) carry over to the full version or not. Since the player level keeps rising by grinding this out, and it seems the player level transfers, it means you lose out on a lot of treasures post the cap of 99. So I'd rather not waste time on this before transferring online progress unless the offline progress also carries over.
lbadplaay
It carries over but you definitely lose out a lot on coffers. I think I had to grind to lvl 35x once I transfered to the main game to get my last trophy which was the 300 coffers one.
Popular Post Virdeborn
Seeing as how there isn't a lot of information out there on how to best approach this grind, I figured I'd share what I've learned after having obtained all of the trophies in Free Edition. Before even touching the FE, I booted up my retail copy of the full game as I wanted to get the A++ trophies for every character out of the way first. I was worried that they would become too difficult to get after having raised every character's online rank a bit in FE. Turns out I didn't need to worry about this at all. With proper planning, you will not only score A++ at least two times with each character naturally in FE, but you will easily be able to repeat this after you've transferred your save file in order to pop the trophies. My advice is thus to go for FE right off the bat. Start by completing the Basic Trial in Gauntlet mode. Familiarise yourself with how the game plays. The first big grind will be to reach 300 ranked wins, which you will easily be able to achieve with the MTU trick. The only downside to this is that you will have to wait precisely 4 minutes between each match before the game decides to pair you up with bots. You will want to keep your online rank for each character as low as possible. There are 28 characters in the base game, of which a selection of four will be available to FE players each week. It is a set rotation, and it changes every Thursday. Quote Weekly rotation list: Warrior of Light / Kain / Emperor / Onion Knight Garland / Squall / Golbez / Bartz Firion / Zidane / Terra / Exdeath Cloud of Darkness / Kuja / Kefka / Vaan Cecil / Tidus / Ultimecia / Ramza Cloud / Jecht / Shantotto / Noctis Sephiroth / Lightning / Y'shtola / Ace You could aim for about 11 ranked wins per character. But buying the Season Pass when it's on sale, which is quite often, for an additional 6 characters (which will then always be available to you) means you can cut that number down to 9. It will also make the grind towards 50 titles much easier. More on that later. Your characters will end up somewhere in the mid silver ranks. If you do end up grinding more matches with specific characters, just avoid going beyond Silver A (which will get you into the Gold ranks, where the AI starts to get a bit smarter). I believe the maximum points you can get from a victory is 32, and to go from Silver E to Gold A requires 150 points. Along the way, you will definitely be the one to knock out three opponents in a single match well beyond the number of times required for the corresponding trophy. Winning 30 matches without taking HP damage is easier with some characters than others, but you will probably get this one naturally over time as well. Same goes for knocking out 50 opponents at max HP. Equip EX skills like Bravery Regen and Bravery Conduit to keep your bravery high. Do not worry about the Decked Out trophy. It'll come naturally too. Last but not least, there are two trophies that do not require you to actually win any matches. The first one is easy enough. You need to destroy 50 summoning cores by yourself. Don't worry too much about this one either though. Just destroy summoning cores whenever they appear. The only trophy that is going to be a bit tricky is the one that requires you to interrupt an opponent that's attacking an ally at least five times in a single match, and then repeat this 29 more times. Some people boost this with friends via Ranked (Team), but I did it solo using mostly ranged characters like Yuna, Rinoa, Shantotto, Ace and Y'shtola. You just need to find whoever works best for you and be prepared to see a lot of time outs. Keep your distance, constantly change targets and fire away when you see the opponents approach your teammates. Ignore any opponent that's targeting you. The main objective is to gain enough points, so keep the matches going for as long as possible to make it more likely that you do. You could also kill two birds with one stone by going after summoning cores towards the end of each match after both teams have already called their summon (after which the AI will completely ignore any crystal that spawns). The other big grind you'll be working on is to obtain 50 titles. This is where purchasing DLC characters will come in handy. Getting a character to level 10 will award you a title. This means 28 or 34 easy titles depending on whether or not you bought the Season Pass ("Manikin" titles do not count, by the way). You will gain a few levels from winning ranked matches. The rest you can grind out via the Core Battle method, where you will also be working towards Crystal A offline ranks for a few of the ranged characters as this will net you additional titles as well. Try to also aim for the highest score, which will net you the Gauntlet Runner title. When playing ranked matches, you will get a title tied to using a specific summon per 100 wins, so that's three titles right there. You will also gain titles for earning certain amounts of gil (you really don't need to spend any of it just yet, just let it accumulate) and for playing the game for a certain amount of hours. If you can, try to play at least one match a day for either one or two months depending on how many more titles you need. Once you are done with FE, it's time to install the full version of the game. If you somehow already have a pre-existing save file, delete it (just be careful not to delete the FE data). There is a lot of inaccurate information out there in regards to what carries over. I've tried to ask around but most people who have been kind enough to get back to me after I've reached out to them couldn't remember the specifics. I just did the transfer myself, so I can confirm that literally everything from FE carries over. Playtime, missions, titles, icons, settings, gil, ranks (both offline and online), levels (both player and character specific). All of it. The only downside is that treasures cap at 99 and are not accessible until after the transfer. You gain one every time your player level increases. Mine was at 121 after I was done with FE, but I also didn't figure out the most optimal way to grind these trophies until halfway through, so yours will most likely be a bit lower. No worries though, all this means is that you will have to grind a few more player levels after you've transferred than you would have had you not played FE at all. Once you've transferred, you just need to do one more of each trophy requirement for them to pop (win one more tanked match, destroy one more summoning crystal by yourself etc). At the end of the day, I have to say that all of this looked a lot more daunting on paper than it ended up being. It's a long, but fairly easy grind. Good luck!

Do you remember how you grinded for the character levels? Did you just use the available Marksman for the week since Yshtola isn't available every week.

I honestly didn't think Y'shtola was the best Marksman either (for Core Battles that would be The Emperor and in general I'd say Shantotto. Terra is, sadly, by far the worst). They're all good enough to get the job done fast enough though. You just gotta play around with them a bit to get used to their best moves. Don't bother with DLC characters on your team unless you intend to buy them eventually though. All titles you earn in the Free Edition will carry over.

Would you know what the estimated time of the FE is? I did the regular version years ago, but I'm not sure if there is a big difference or not time-wise. Also I own the Season pass for the regular game. Can I use that in the FE? Edited February 24 by sepheroithisgod

I'm going through this now and am estimating 70 hours of active play time plus idle time on the menu to get the 100 hours title. 35 hours for the 300 ranked matches and 35 hours for leveling 34 characters to level 10. The season pass works on the Free Edition. The 50 Titles I'm going for are 4 for 60 days consecutive days played (you can do a sparring match then change your system clock forward a day and do another sparring match and keep going until you get 60 days), 1 Crystal A rank character, 1 Gauntlet Runner Title, 3 titles for 100 ranked summon wins, 3 titles for 100,000 Gil, 3 titles for 100 items bought from the shop and 34 titles for character level 10 and 3 for 100 hours played. That should be 52 titles so there's some leeway. Edited March 1 by Thedah

Then what is the point of doing 9 battles per character instead of going for all 300 with one? update: got it.
