It seems the PS5 really improves the gameplay experience of PS4 games overall even if the games have not been patched.

Sounds great! I haven't watched the whole thing, but do they also talk about loading PS4 games from an external drive? Does that impact anything?

AC Syndicate is actually playable, unlike Ubisoft made it seem to be, but it suffers glitches in the background, which will be very distracting and you’d want to play it on PS4 instead.

Unfortunately, no they do not take about external drives in this video.

better than I expected, and i'm sure it will get even better with time as Sony updates the firmware and more devs test their own games and patch them to be native

Yeah i'm liking this, would be even better if the developers updated them but even without it seems good enough, well it's a big improvement anyway in fps and load times.

Since we are discussing BC on PS5, has anyone seen a video yet on how PS4 trophies work on the PS5?

All the PS4 game performance comparisons I've seen on Youtube compare PS4 pro internal hdd vs PS5 internal ssd. I haven't seen anyone talking about how PS4 games perform on the PS5 when they are stored in an external hdd instead of the internal ssd. I feel like there should be a focus on PS4 pro internal hdd vs PS5 external hdd comparisons since that's how a lot of people are gonna be playing their PS4 games on the PS5 due to the internal ssd not being big enough to house a lot of games.
