AnthonyScaletta
Will the PS5 version of this game be released? It says that if I buy the package below it will give the PS5 version. Will this version contain a different list of trophies? https://store.playstation.com/it-it/product/EP0102-PPSA01557_00-VILLAGEXRE7COMPB
HusKy
RE7 has only PS4 version available RE8 has PS4 and PS5 versions available (2 separate lists)
AnthonyScaletta
Will there be any ps5 version of Resident Evil 7 in the future? Has such a statement been made?
Vladicarus-
Just now, AnthonyScaletta said: Will there be any ps5 version of Resident Evil 7 in the future? Has such a statement been made? Consiering that the ps5/xbox series can backwards comp with ps4/xbox one, I wouldn't expect it. at most we might get a resolution update.
AnthonyScaletta
Understood. So I guess it would be absurd to think of a separate trophy list. So there is no point in purchasing this version. Because RE7 / PS4 already works for PS5.
OmegaRejectz
Others have basically answered it but: No, I’d say there’s a 0% chance of it getting a native PS5 update. Maybe enhancements at most (aside from the PS5 automatically boosting things by default) but the game is backwards compatible so I’d make no sense to make a native PS5 version. AnthonyScaletta
Yes I have RE7 / PS4. If there is a different trophy list ahead, I want to complete it. My goal is just that, I don't want to give out extra money if RE7 doesn't have a separate trophy list for the PS5. I will buy the standard version for RE8.

AJ_Radio
I find a lot of these re-releases utterly pointless. You already have a substantial jump playing these games on the PS5 considering it's native 4K support and 60 FPS. Sounds like trophy hunters want there to be a PS5 version so they can stack an easy list as opposed to replaying a newer version of a game that may have new content. I don't mind the latter, but the former is just scummy.
You
The original game had a high resolution and a solid 60fps even on base PS4 (since it had to work in VR as well) What benefit is there re releasing a game on PS5 with no noticable differences? Well I say that, give it 3 or 4 years, I am sure Capcom will milk it a bit more later when they have a slight gap in their release schedule. Trini
There were rumors back in January of a possible PS5 upgrade, but nothing have came out since then. Many speculate that it may release before village but, in the end, didn't turn out to be the case. I still think it might be feasible, but we'll just have to wait and see at this point. TalalHmd
Capcom loves to port the RE games, but I think it’s not needed now because this gen is backward compatibility the ps4 versions are good enough in my book
