What are the hardest trophies? (Base + DLC)

Recommended Posts

nothing's particularly hard in the base list, the campaign is super easy, you can kinda cheese the flip/flop if you can unpatch the game, and the riot special wave can be done if you play with someone who already has the map unlocked, skipping all the time wasted on all the other maps.
dlc 1 is 20/20, cause that shit takes till like wave 25 playing optimally solo, and the easter egg, though that one isnt too bad
dlc 2 has the really dumb survivor mechanic, and that 20 survivors rescued grind/4 survivors in one match are terrible, also a horrible rng-fest of an easter egg
dlc 3 is honestly really easy outside of the easter egg, even wave 30 isnt that hard with a decent gun & the limbo
dlc 4 has one of the longest & most tedious easter eggs in the series imo (about 2 full hours on a successful attempt), and the double feature mode after which is just restarting it until you get one of the shotguns, not terribly hard, just boring
also the completion rate is low cause cod is popular despite people refusing to buy the dlcs, thats how they all are, nothing special about it

from what I remember (I did this years ago) the base platinum is easy. nothing to worry about here

for the 4 dlcs the hardest trophy would be the easter eggs

dlc 1 - game over, man!

dlc 2 - meat is murder

dlc 3 - flotsam & jetsam

dlc 4 - reunion

also, dlc 4 has another trophy (double tap) that's the hardest trophy in the entire list, but requires u to complete the EE before the mode is available

Yeah I’d agree with what the others have said here. They patched the exo survival mode to make Flip Flop more challenging. I originally achieved it around the time the game came out but I’ve helped others get it since the patch and it’s still very doable. I recommend using the heavy exo class because the laser gun has infinite ammo and is quite strong. I also recommend playing on the map Instinct because there’s a tunnel where you can post up and it’ll give you cover from the Warbirds when they spawn.

I also think the easter eggs tend to be the hardest trophies in each dlc, but that’s not always the case. Some of the easter eggs are quite long and have challenging steps. If you don’t get a good start in the early rounds then you can screw yourself because the steps can become very challenging to pull off. Also crawlers will die after a set amount of time in this game which can be quite frustrating. Some of the other trophies like Mad Hops require precise movement and are best attempted on early rounds.

But yeah Double Tap may be one of the hardest zombies trophies in any of the games. No other game has a hardcore mode like Descent. You have to complete the easter egg and then you can activate this “Double Feature” mode. It turns the game black and white, removes your HUD, makes zombies take and deal more damage, makes it so you only receive points for kills and nothing for hits, and you can’t revive at all (including self-revive in solo). You definitely are going to have to get lucky with the mystery box early. Someone needs to have a Blunderbuss or you probably won’t be able to pull it off. You only have to make it to Round 20 to get to the final Oz fight, but trust me it’s harder than it sounds.

Having 100%’d AW almost completely(Only had multiple players for Exo Survival and the Exo zombie round in the main game)

I’d like to give my thoughts on the difficulty of the base game plus DLCs.

Main game is overall a 5, the campaign is probably one of the easiest in the series on vet.

Most levels are enither just long hallways you can fire down with lots of cover or a simple set piece section.

The upgrade system and the usefulness of your gadgets really eliminates any difficulty you may have.

Exo survival is pretty challenging solo but just find 2-3 competent players via match making(should really take long) and you’ll have flip flop trophy in no time.

Personally I’d find someone who has riot unlocked for the zombies round, other wise your looking at a very boring grind in one of the most forgettable CoD modes ever…

DLC wise I’d say the 4 in this title bring the difficulty rating up to a 8/10(imo)

Hardest trophies per DLC.

Outbreak-Fully upgrading 2 weapons to level 20 in a single game.

Pretty tuff trophy if your like me and haven’t touched zombies in years.

Those tbh it’s actually not that hard once you learn the training route.

EE is very simple and quite fast n easy, just gotta get lucky you obtain the laser gun early for the girl characters Id card.

Pro tip, if you get a LMG upgrade to have the thermal scope, makes finding the id in the trashcute much easier.

Infection-EE and saving 4 survivors in a single game.

This EE isn’t very challenging but man it’s a rng nightmare.

You got activate 4 values early on(witch there are 36 possible spawn locations) kill a batch of zombies in a little ass room, find four pieces of meat(one in each main area of the map) witch are also random and have multiple different possible spawns.

Then get lucky you get the maps special weapon that you NEED for said EE.

I could go on but all that bullshit plus those shitty A.I’s you gotta escort(that would make even the Dead Rising 1survivors blush) along with the garbage gimmick this map has makes this almost the hardest DLCs of the 4(it’s not, just very tedious)

Carrier-EE, and that’s really it.

EE this time around is imo difficult and the hardest of the 4.

Unlike the previous two maps I highly recommend you do this one(and descent) in coop.

Dont be me and do these solo, it’s needless difficulty.

With that said the steps are actually fun and are creative enough we’re I wasn’t bored.

Just gotta be skilled at zombies and know how to train and have decent timing on the grenade puzzle.

The island step can suck my contact grenade tho.

Descent-EE is the longest of the four but easier then carrier.

If you get a Cell 3 or the chad blunderbuss your pretty set.

The jump puzzle will make or break your run in the end tho(that 3rd jump stage rage lol)

Double tap may seem intimidating but if you get shotgun early and your perks you’ll make it tru.

I have a full run I did and it was far from optimal and still somehow double taped Oz’s ass.

It's not. I did solo and in coop, solo it's way easier as Oz has less health. Just restart if you don't get anything good from the first 3 box spins. I did solo with S12 (saiga) and the rocket launcher. Imo the hardest trophy is the carrier EE as it's very long to do, you only have one weapon as you have to trade the 2nd one all the time, and the bombs to defuse can absolutely destroy you if you get unlucky. I was once in the step with fishing out the eye, and was training zombies near the teleporter, a goliath spawned on my back and instakilled me.

You know what add the “trickshot” trophy to this list. Ive played descent for nearly 10 hours and ive gotten every weapon in the printer except the trident like the game refuses to give it to me

and the descent easter egg imo is harder than carrier  because of the jumping step particularly #3
