Shikotei-kun
*reads Financial Times article about why Japan should sell Nintendo* Interesting. So having many small companies competing against each other is a bad thing. (uh, no. Competition is healthy) And the best remedy is merging said companies into bigger ones. (no, that's how monopolies start) For protection. (against who?) Then selling the one that has a lot of valuable IP (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong) to wake up the stock market. (Why is this required?) Also, just how would selling a $55bln company dwarf a $75bln sale? Basic math says the other way around... Japan bought a US-based company (Colombia Pictures), so the US should buy a Japan-based company.. (This isn't like trading baseball cards, you muppet.) Japan's stock market has painted itself into a corner... with massively profitable companies? What? One question though: When is MS going to actually make anything decent? All they do is buy other stuff. Feels like a funded, but floundering Kickstarter project to me.
