My verdict: I advise everyone to check out the plus version first. I knew this game was not going to be on FH2 level but it's different and the graphics are beautiful. My score on what I seen and saw is high but I need to play it first before I can rate it. I think the big problem here is the gameplay, it seems a bit off.

Im actually happy about the scores, average 7-8, its is very very difficult for racing games to get 9 or 10s since its a racing game, one thing i dont understand is why this game gets hit because of its story... Drive Club has a longer story than Destiny...oh that is not going to get old. I have the Retail Digital version and i am loving it!

How is the gameplay, also any word on the "visual downgrade" people have been throwing about? I do hope this game works out for Sony as this is their first true exclusive and it would be a shame if it sucked.

Played the opening race last night and really liked the handling.

 

Only thing that annoys me at the moment is that I stayed up until midnight to create a club and the servers weren't working. Still nothing this morning.


I do hope this game works out for Sony as this is their first true exclusive and it would be a shame if it sucked. 

 

What about Infamous, Killzone and Knack? :)

I was talking about the first game they have offered us since First light came out. I think Knack 2 could be good.  

This video is apparently someone who has the game.

Dude i have to ask, where do you find these people? There is no way I would take anything this guy (in the vide) says at face value.

 

I tried the game for myself, I love it, I am not expecting Killzone Levels of stunning visuals, but they do look real pretty to look at, before a race starts you get to see a lot of angles of the amazing scenery you are about to race in, the huge level of detail, and it can only get better from here. The game is already what I wanted in a racing game, Mixture of NFS, with a hint of GT...not much but its there.

 

People forgive Watch Dogs, Destiny for overhyping and downgrading their games.

 

This game assuming members have PS+ comes at NO additional cost, why not give it a try and decide, its not that hard to get the PLAT in this game either. (which is a bonus)

 

The Game is not perfect, hell they havent even turned on the servers yet, or whatever-the-hell might be wrong with them right now, but once its on, i cant wait to play this with friends and all that good stuff.

Half of the cars can only be unlocked online lol... well, I'm never buying that game then. 

I watched that vid you linked bear of that guy raging, gotta say he made up my mind, never buying that.

If all of what he says is true, the game is fucking garbage, they shouldn't of even bothered releasing it to be honest..

No Japanese or American cars? Are you fucking kidding me.. I bet it's fucking DLC lol..

yelling doesn't make it a cool vid. 

for sure it's not the best game and by far no Forza killer but it's still fun, better that then the last NFS Games. Nice to play it from time to time for just 40€

 

For real racing i'll waiting for Project CARS

You don't need to see me on the game since I'm not going to be buying it.

 

Would love to download the Plus version but again more server issues as usual.

 

#4theplayers. Seriously though, I'd love to know why Sony's infrastructure hasn't increased alongside the huge leap of subscriptions PlayStation Plus has garnered.

It has been confirmed that PlayStation Plus' version can be used to Plat the game.

Of course, with so many other things changed, it may be prudent to wait for 1st hand experience - which will be awhile considering it's been delayed due to server issues.

meh... I think i'll pass, this game feels like they'll pull a burnout paradise and release thousand of dlc

 

 

agreed - except that Burnout Paradise was reviewed (correctly IMO) fantastically well.

 

 

i loved BP so much. Def. the best arcade racer from the last generation, at least for me. loved all the DLCs Spent around 500h on that game... oh the memories :wub:
