Dragon-Archon
To moderators: What about adding dislike button feature without showing names so that there won't be any hate/hard feelings that the members pretend. How is this reply the best answer??? Shadowgandalf's first reply deserves that title
NagaLura
I think balance is good and this site lacks the balance. P.S: It's good to see trolls from time to time. Nah, the balance on this site is good and i think a dislike button would destroy it. Wait, what'cha say about trolls? Why the hell would it be good to see trolls on a site? Doesn't matter what site it is.

MMDE
I was wondering the same thing. How does the "best answer" get selected? The person whom started the thread selected it. Edited January 26, 2015 by MMDE
BlindMango
Yeah I'm also one that thinks it's a pretty bad idea - there's no reason for it because it will only just be a reason for people to piss other people off, people start knowing who dislikes who and why, it divides people, makes less conversation (down-voting rather than replying with a reasonable comment), and make more work for forum mods, and so on. It just seems like one big problem - it makes more sense in places like disqus comments where a negative rating drops a comment down a point and balances popular comments based on vote to the top of the thread, but here it would just be more of a problem than a useful solution in my opinion. Also, I don't even know if it's possible to do that through the IP Board forum software, lol Edit: As MMDE said, the creator of the topic can choose the best answer Edited January 26, 2015 by BlindMango
Popular Post Parker
We have discussed this before, there is no reason for a dislike button for the site and a dislike button won't be added to the site. The OP can dislike everyone being positive, but that is what makes this community so great. We have very few trolls and the ones we do have are very easy to find without a dislike button, plus as someone has already admitted, it'd be abused to hell and back. Believe it or not, even a man as handsome as me has some people who dislike me. With a dislike button, no matter what the content of my post or thread was, there would be people who would dislike it simply because I posted it. While I personally couldn't give two shits what someone else thinks of me, some of the younger members might be upset by that and it could possibly cause them to stop posting. This goes against the whole purpose of a forum, which is to have constructive conversation, and as such a dislike button makes absolutely no sense.
