I like this co op bonus idea. It would have been nice to be rewarded for all the help I have given in The Crew and Battlefront in other comps

My list of games is submitted

Little idea for the points system:

First to platinum his/her game -> 10pts

Obtained an ultra rare platinum -> 25pts

Obtained a rare platinum -> 15pts

Obtained platinum - 10pts

Had to purchase the game -> 5pts

Completed DLC -> 5pts

Being active in the thread -> 10pts (at least several posts weekly relevant to the event)

Co-up bonus -> 10pts for helping a fellow competitor gain co-up or online trophies on top of trying to finish your own game

Started bonus -> 1pt for getting at least one trophy in your game of the month

Thanks for everyones list I want to tell you your games as soon as possible so you have time to buy it. So everybody who has been confirmed has sent their list to me, if we want to start we'll need at least 8 to make sure everybody has a partner. Hoping for twelve to increase that prize money

Anyone have any ideas for the money thing? I'm hoping we can do it with PSN cards at $30 each but the whole regional thing and some people can't get $30 PSN cards where they are. Also some people could give a fake code in and there would be know way to know if its a valid code until the winner uses it ...

Unless everybody ordered an AUS PSN card worth $30 ... Then once everybody has their PSN card send me the codes privately and I'll list them all.

But still what if somebody uses a fake code? Well I would write down the name of the person who sent the code ... But some people might still do it. We could all put on our sigs the name of the person who cheated so like

I'd say Paypal and for the people who dont have it you should it is really helpful and it only takes 5 minutes to create account. Also think about us physical game buyers who only use PSN store for DLC. 

 

Or better yet. The winner can decide how they want to be paid.

I'm going to seek help for this problem and if I am allowed back in I have ideas re the points etc.

I don't really like the idea of first to platinum in a month. I would much prefer seeing this moved to fastest to plat. Sometimes it is not always possible to get around to playing first few days of month so I think fastest is a bit fairer for everyone.

Also I see there has been some concern about how the games will be levelled out for points between partners considering no two games are the same length or difficulty. I have no idea how to fix this .... Sorry. But perhaps it might be easier/fairer if both partners play the same game or something like that

Thats actually a really good idea the only problem with the winner deciding how they want to be paid is that because the comp is over some people might not pay up, but most of you guys participating I've know for a while and you've been in my previous comps so it should be all good

Yeah I think I'll take out the whole first to Platnuim thing to give people all the time they want and plan out how they're going to get the most points they possibly can. As for the partner thing it would be a good idea to make them play the same game but I'm going to have to re think how everybody will get their game and partner

Ok for the pairing up part I'm going to use this site :

Once everbodys been paired up I'll list each groups name and make 2 groups pair up with one another, once thats done one person from each group will randomly be chosen and that's the persons games that will be used. Once we have the persons list of games I'll list them all on this site:

For what group gets their game first will be decided on the site above, each group will be allocated a letter A,B,C, or D (maybe more depending on numbers). So then A will go first B second and the rest writes itself.

if the game is co-op focused the bonus is negated or points received are halved.

 

25 points- Take an in-game screenshot at the exact moment of platinum, post it to receive bonus points. If your partner also takes the screen shot, the points received are doubled.... if both players not only take an in-game screenshot, but also pop the platinum at the same time points received are tripled. Unless of course, the game is co-op focused... then bonus points revert back to the original bonus of 25 points.

Feel free, I was just bouncing ideas around. Figured something like a synchronized platinum required a bit of a high point value. I would, but at the moment I haven't the spare cash to join. Might join in the future, I'll keep my eye on it though. See how things play out in the coming months.

I have my doubts we'll make it to twelve so I might go ahead and do the pairing once we have one more member. If you guys know anybody who will be interested give em a message for me, that would be very helpful. Also because we are only going to play with 8 should we increase it to $50?

$30 = $240 prize money

$50 = $400 prize money

Don't forget though the money won't be need until early 2017.

For me personally the prize money is in no way a motivating factor to compete or contribute, keep the cost low is my advice. I would however put some thought in runner up prizes .... 

 

I think we need some categories for additional awards. This event will run a full year so we have time to decide here on the "most unlucky gimp" - "e-sports buddy" - "OMG he has no life" kinda awards. The names are just examples

Ok after some thought I decided to stuff it and get the comp rolling ... Well at least our gamed and pairings. But Nogg we don't have an even amount of participants?!

No worries I'm gonna name our number 8 X so if I get paired up with him it will be

If X doesn't show up by the start date we'll just have to get in with it anyway that would just mean somebody won't have a partner for that month which is no biggie, takes the pressure of anyway
